    Awesome video; thanks for doing that! There is just so much out there which makes it difficult for unexperienced people like me when shopping for a digital piano. Right now I am torn between the Roland HP702 and the Yamaha CLP-725. I've also looked into cheaper ones like the Yamaha YDP-164 Airus and CASIO AP-470 Celviano, but I am leaning more toward the other two. Still quite not sure though but learning more and more! Thanks again!

      Thanks for the feedback! We're thrilled you enjoyed the video! Between the 702 and the 725, you'll definitely want to consider Bluetooth and obsolescence. The 725 is a very limited piano, sadly. I don't understand why they would make an instrument without Bluetooth in this climate. Still, you're right to do your research and buy the best piano you can. Best of luck to you!

    2:07 The key action show in the video is the PHA-50 and the HP702 use the PHA-4 Standard

      Good eye! Yes. We had to use the PHA-50 action model because we didn't have a PHA-4 to film. ...so - for just one scene - there is a PHA-50 action in this video and you caught it! Thanks for watching so closely!

    Interesting but you didn't tell us how it differs from the other model 701, etc

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, Jeff! There's a good reason for that. The 701 didn't exist when this video came out. ...but if you want to know the differences, here are the important ones: The 702 uses behavioral modeling to generate it's grand piano sound (with over 16,000 dynamic levels per key and unlimited polyphony) - the 701 still uses representative sampling (with 128 dynamic levels per key and 256 note polyphony). The 701 has a slightly smaller sound system than the 702, a simplified interface with fewer onboard controls, a simplified cabinet (with partial privacy panel instead of full privacy panel), fewer onboard songs and a more basic bench. The 701 also requires all cables, USB flash drive, etc. to be plugged into the underside of the piano. The 702 has the standard front-facing box for all the ports. ...and, finally, the RP701 comes with a "carry in" warranty where the 702 comes with an "in home" warranty. They may not be obvious, but there are a TON of differences between the two - the biggest being the sound quality and warranty. Hope that helps!

      Hello, Amir! Thanks for stopping by. The first two things to check are 1) Is the power supply plugged all the way into the piano on the underside of the piano? 2) Is the power cable that plugs into the wall firmly inserted into the transformer (big box) ? Here are some other things you should know: Opening and Closing the key cover turns the piano on and off. The piano will go to sleep by default after 30 minutes of inactivity. The piano's screen goes dark after 1 minute of inactivity. You can change these settings in the gear menu. Hope that helps!

    Any difference with Roland HP 704? They looks similar

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  Před 4 lety

      Oh yeah. Big differences. The HP-704 has the wood/resin hybrid action (702 is resin only), the HP-704 has a 4-speaker surround system (702 is 2-speaker stereo), and the HP-704 has a 10-year warranty (vs the 5-Year warranty on the 702). In short, the 704 sounds better, feels better and has twice the warranty.
