Did you push the red button to “depressurize” prior to opening? Also how often are you changing the filter?
Yes, depressurize the filter. I change when I see a drop in water pressure. That tells me carbon & filter getting clogged up. 🤞

Can this be used for a 2.5 bath townhome with 3/4" white PVC ~IF~ I find the right adapter to accommodate the 1" in/out ports? Is there a filter with some descaling property, like citrus or soliphos incorporated? Which model is the one that works with 4.5x10 filters instead of 2.5?
What fittings did you use on the inlet and outlet? Did you use brass or PVC? I’ve already bought 2 of these models and trying shark bites (brass) and get them going about 1/4 of the way and they start to cross thread. Knowing that they are going in sideways (cross-threading) I haven’t continued to force the shark bite fitting in. Happened to 2 of them already. Wondering if you had trouble and what did you do to solve.
You just have to take your time & slowly screw in your adapters being careful to make sure they go in straight. These were put in with PEX fittings but I am sure shark bite or gator fittings should work just fine. 🤞
I've had two of these, both failed, the pressure relief valve design is vastly underdone.
I still use mine with No issues so far. 👍🤞
