- Midlothian Virginia is one of the nearby suburbs to Richmond VA and in this video we show you 6 fun things to do in the Midlothian area. We know that where you choose to live isn't just about the house and the neighborhood, it's about what's nearby and what your daily life will look like outside of your home which is why we make these videos focusing on fun things to do all around Richmond.
We start this video by showing you the rock climbing gym in Midlothian, Peak Experiences. Sarah and I had an absolute blast and we will definitely be going back again. They have courses for beginners (us) all the way up courses catered to those that are much more experienced. It was very affordable and great exercise, we highly recommend.
The next thing you will get to see is one of our favorite parks in the area, Robious Landing Park. Robious Landing is a 100 acre park that is waterfront to the James River which means you can go fishing or launch a canoe, kayak, or paddle board. The river is very calm and flat here too!
The 3rd fun thing we recommend for Midlothian is to check out the amazing restaurant and bar scene. There are too many awesome restaurants in the Midlothian area to cover in one video but we show you a few of our favorites including Wild Ginger, Triple Crossing's newest brewery location, Tazza Kitchen, and our favorite sports bar in all of Richmond, Wood & Iron.
Uptown Alley is located in Midlothian and it is an incredibly nice, upscale bowling alley that offers much more than just bowling. The first floor is dedicated to bowling, dining, and more so to kids birthday parties. But the 2nd floor is catered to those 21+ with a very nice bar, tons of indoor and outdoor seating, and a small stage for live music which they host very often.
In our fun things to do with kids video we showcased the Short Pump location of Defy, and in Midlothian there is another trampoline park called Skyzone. Skyzone is a very fun place to go and take the family, and it is a great way to your kids to get their energy out. There were a lot of similarities between Skyzone and Defy, but there were enough differences that make us lean more towards Skyzone.
The last fun thing we show you in Midlothian is go kart racing at K1 Speed. These were electrified go karts, so just want to set the right expectation. Inside the facility is nice and there was a bar/seating area which would be great for events. This was the most expensive fun thing to do, and you don't get a lot of time for your money. I would recommend to make the most of it and go with a group of friends, but if it is your cup of tea, K1 Speed doesn't disappoint.

We are visiting Richmond at the end of August (planning to move soon after that) and have Robious Landing park on our list, and the Boathouse at Sunday Park, which I've seen you mention in another video. We are so excited!!
Richmond (and the surrounding suburbs) has definitely got it going on! There are so many great things to do around here which is good for me because I won't run out of content ideas anytime soon. I am sure you will love it when you see it all in person!
I'm new in the area, just moved to Midlothian just over a year now from N. Virginia. I have been wondering for the past year of what/where I can go to do things right here in the area. As a professional photographer & videographer, I wanted to find areas I can go to do some shorts on the area. Your video helps, thank you.

@@cliquemediaproductions Enjoy! We were planning on doing the same ourselves but we are actually going to be out of town this weekend celebrating our birthdays (including Sarah's 40th!!). In years past it has been packed so be prepared for a lot of people to be out over there. Also River Rock is another pretty big festival on Brown's Island that would make for good content too.
Fun things to do in Midlothian, VA, Living in Richmond Virginia. I like it! You did a good job with this one. I was born and raised in Richmond 804, VA. Nine Mile Road and Laburnam Ave were my stomping grounds. Never knew about this rock climbing thing in Midlothian. Peak Experiences also has another location in the city near Scott's Addition which we have gone too. I would say for beginners the Midlothian is the one to head to first.
