These red sticks what came with the ring, this is the wax to dissolve, so that you can use the ring to reflect the pattern on it. This is how kings used to seal letters 😊

Hey, if you had more time the castles around Beynac were beautiful as well, I went there with people I met during the heidel ball, it was a crazy event. But from what I've heard now since the castle in beynac is private which wasn't the case before maybe we can expect another event there someday

Someone else in the comments said it's wax for sealing purposes (you press the ring into the hot wax and seal letters) and I believe it's a good guess, hard to tell through the screen tho :D
