I absolutely hate the idea of Blue or Yellow dying. Take them out for a while if you must, Rebecca, but don't shatter them, please! They still have so much to learn. And like you said there's so much build up to them that it would be a total let down. As for Lars, like with the Diamonds, it's possible that he will be hurt, but I don't see the point of him dying, Steven reviving him, him getting all these great powers and making him a space-pirate, just to kill him of again.

Jamie Lannister attempted child murder, is in an incestuous relationship, and has killed "countless" people, yet he's a fan favorite. Character development and complexity are whats truly important when making a character. Killing off a character before their potential is reached is extremely unsatisfying and a waste of good concepts and writing.
You know it's very hard to give a shit if someone dies in this show because it's 90% grounded in Stevens POV and so we as the viewers have a much bigger emotional connection to him

Ok, so here's a crazy idea... what if Pearl gets shattered RIGHT AFTER we see Rainbow Quartz 2.0? Her character arc would be complete, but she would still feel the need to protect steven, even if that meant sacrificing herself. Steven, Garnet, and Amethyst would be devastated, Connie too, and they would all beat a hasty retreat from homeworld. Every single SU fan in existence would cry their eyes out. And, it would be really important for Steven's character, because despite everything, we need to see him fail. Steven needs to fail so he understands how much his actions/decisions matter, and he can learn from his mistakes. We might even have an arc where Steven blames himself, and leaves the Crystal Gems, just living a human life for awhile. But something would make him go back-probably an attack by a corruption- and that's when he'll really step up and become the leader he was always meant to be. But hey, it's just a theory, and DEAR GOD REBECCA SUGAR DON'T MAKE THIS CANON PLEASE MY HEART WOULD BREAK

I don’t think he’d die since hes the main character but i could see this: WD takes out steven’s gem (maybe trying to poof him so he’ll reform into his “normal form” aka pink diamond) and so it gravely injures him. He’d need to heal and whatever else and then PD is back. She has to deal with the consequences of her actions, she gets to meet steven (imagine coming back and finally able to meet your son that you gave up your life for and then hes on death door. Talk about emotional!) idk tho, it probably won’t happen but just imagine.
I hope so. It takes guts for a show's writers to straight up kill of a character, and this is especially true for a kid's show. It also means deaths are more impactful than in shows where characters are killed off every other episode. Killing off or at least indefinitely benching a character (not including corrupted gems, as they're guaranteed to be seen again due to their importance to the narrative), would be a big step up for the show and its characters.

If this theory proves true, Rebecca Sugar will definitely add lots of screen time for White Pearl to develop her and get fans to love her just before killing her off. White Pearl unfortunately feels really disposable right now. I could be wrong, though.

in my opinion, i definitely think that ruining a character’s mind/soul without damaging their body is a fate worse than death, and definitely a more interesting and unsettling plot point. when they ‘survive’, but they’re not themself anymore...that hits the audience hard. at least with death you can get some bittersweet closure, but if a character loses their memory and personality/is corrupted/joins the dark side/etc, there’s no way to put a satisfying spin on it. it’s a creative plot concept and it adds another layer to the story.
Cat Steven’s left eye is blue like Garnet’s left eye. Cat Steven missing their right eye could be foreshadowing our Ruby’s death. Garnet’s red right eye is representative of Ruby. In “Keeping It Together”, Garnet said she’d “always exist in” Ruby and Sapphire, even if she splits apart. To me, that seems like foreshadowing towards Garnet no longer being able to exist on a physical plane if Ruby or Sapphire is killed. This next piece of evidence was pointed out to me by speculation of Ruby’s death I read on one of Steven Universe’s TV Tropes WMG (Wild Mass Guessing) pages in the past. The top-most right hand of the Gem fusion statue of the Crystal Temple is raised with a Warp Pad on it. That hand can be representative of Sapphire’s gem placement. The top-most left arm of the statue is missing its hand and Ruby’s gem is in the palm of her left hand.
I think you hit it on the head a couple of episodes ago when you compared Blue and Yellow Diamond fusing to Aquamarine and Emerald fusing. Even Ruby and Sapphire are simply corundums of different colors.
This is based on your theory on White diamond having her own song. I thought about this the other day: White diamond would sing to Steven about how she made Steven or how all the diamonds were made and how important Steven is to the "gem nation".

Notice how in adventures in light distortion Garry says “only 70 HUMAN years ahead of schedule” maybe home world has a different perception of time or it just takes longer to orbit around their solar system who knows!
It could be "splitting up the team" as you stated as a possibility in a previous episode of crystal clear. So maybe that is the "benching" that we will encounter.

I really don’t think that it would be the diamonds or Lars. Remember the bingo. It says a *gem gets shattered.* So yeah, not Lars. Also, the diamonds have such a huge role right now, and I highly doubt Rebecca would just throw it away.I feel that it might be one of the original gems, probably not garnet, but maybe amethyst or pearl. But it could also be bismuth, lapis, or peridot. Just my thought.

I am thinking pearl don't know why, don't know how but I just FEEL it would somehow make the most sense
in my opinion, i definitely think that ruining a character’s mind/soul without damaging their body is a fate worse than death, and definitely a more interesting and unsettling plot point. when they ‘survive’, but they’re not themself anymore...that hits the audience hard. at least with death you can get some bittersweet closure, but if a character loses their memory and personality/is corrupted/joins the dark side/etc, there’s no way to put a satisfying spin on it. it’s a creative plot concept and it adds another layer to the story.

Cat Steven’s left eye is blue like Garnet’s left eye. Cat Steven missing their right eye could be foreshadowing our Ruby’s death.
Garnet’s red right eye is representative of Ruby. In “Keeping It Together”, Garnet said she’d “always exist in” Ruby and Sapphire, even if she splits apart. To me, that seems like foreshadowing towards Garnet no longer being able to exist on a physical plane if Ruby or Sapphire is killed.
This next piece of evidence was pointed out to me by speculation of Ruby’s death I read on one of Steven Universe’s TV Tropes WMG (Wild Mass Guessing) pages in the past. The top-most right hand of the Gem fusion statue of the Crystal Temple is raised with a Warp Pad on it. That hand can be representative of Sapphire’s gem placement. The
top-most left arm of the statue is missing its hand and Ruby’s gem is in the palm of her left hand.

I think you hit it on the head a couple of episodes ago when you compared Blue and Yellow Diamond fusing to Aquamarine and Emerald fusing. Even Ruby and Sapphire are simply corundums of different colors.
This is based on your theory on White diamond having her own song. I thought about this the other day: White diamond would sing to Steven about how she made Steven or how all the diamonds were made and how important Steven is to the "gem nation".
Also, how creepy would it be if Lars was channeling White’s voice...

I feel like the idea of lars dying would relate back to sugars favorite anime one piece, with a certain character.
Nobody dies in Steven Universe. Well, that doesn't get brought back as a pink zombie, apparently.
Notice how in adventures in light distortion Garry says “only 70 HUMAN years ahead of schedule” maybe home world has a different perception of time or it just takes longer to orbit around their solar system who knows!
It could be "splitting up the team" as you stated as a possibility in a previous episode of crystal clear.

I was listening to "What's The Use in Feeling Blue?" And one line is " why would you want to employ her, subjects that destroyed her" could blue have employed pink diamond and that destroyed white?
