Light beyond shadow,
Joy beyond tears,
Love that is greater when darkest our fears;
deeper the Peace when the storm is around,
nearer the Hope to the lost who is found.
Light of the world, ever shining, shining!

I had the privilege of getting to perform this piece last spring with a community choir that I'm in. My favorite part is the "in our darkness there is light, in our crying there is love; in the noise of life imparting peace that passes understanding." The setting for it is so beautiful and delicate; gives me chills and makes me cry all at the same time. Every once in awhile I come back to sing it and remember.

This is a truly moving & beautiful song to perform for others (New West Symphony & Chorus) & I heard The SymphoNYChorus perform it this weekend.
