    Ordered these yesterday with a discount. Glad to hear they're not aggressive as graph looks like. Definitely, more comfy than huge n heavy MP145. Nice review, thanks!

    I am really enjoying this set personally, to the point that I don't understand how they're dividing people.
    They managed to find a dynamic sounding low end, without sacrificing clarity and detail.
    I don't really align with you on comfort... they are light, but I wish that Kiwi Ears (in general) would tilt their nozzles upward a bit more. I had to lean on spinfits to get the best possible seal. You're dead on about the treble though... it's very clear and resolving, and not fatiguing at all. Not something I expect from a set that leans as warm as this does.
    I have run into a weird issue where with older hip hop you can tell what bass was mastered well, and what wasn't... something I don't notice with other bass focused headphones and iems I have.
    I don't think that they're at all being honest about their power requirements at all either.... they seem to scale well with more wattage though. My daily driver at my desk is a Hifiman EF400 and they seem to sound their best on the High Gain NOS setting.

      Thanks for your feedback planar always seem to scale better with more power. No worries about the comfort as everyone is different.

    Mine is coning on Monday. Ok. You said to much treble when i am sensative to that. Have to open the fimter grill and place the sponge densaty filter inside

      @fiddlix planar work well with that filters. some other dd iem If the filter is too long then the sound is muffled. Then I need to place a filter cotton in the nozzle. It's a win or loose.

    How does the EA500 fare against this, and which one would be a better bang for the buck?

    • @VortexReviews1
      @VortexReviews1  Před 11 měsíci

      Both good bang for the buck. Planar has better tech but the timbre is better on the EA500.

    Tin Hifi P1 Max or the Kiwi Ears Melody?

    • @VortexReviews1
      @VortexReviews1  Před rokem +3

      Both a bit different from each other with the tuning but P1 Max is still a good set but uses an older driver.

    Finally!! Been waiting for this review. Thank you! I recently got an S12 Pro, and also have the Sonus, Z300, 7hz Zero, Wan'er. Still gonna spend more time with the S12 Pro so won't comment yet on that. But the Sonus is probably my favorite (love the 7hz Zero and Wan'er, and the Sonus just sounds like a better version of those). And when I do crave a more comforting and relaxing listen, the Z300 is just perfect for that. For my next IEM (do i need one? no. but that's why it's called a hobby 😂), I'm looking at the EM6L, Quartet, and this Melody. Which would you recommend among those? I'm looking for something that offers something a little unique or different from my current sets, while having technical performance that matches the $100-ish price point. In terms of tuning, I think a very slightly warmer-leaning sound would complement my existing sets - which is why I'm considering the EM6L and Quartet since they seem to be more on the relaxed side. The Melody is probably brighter than those two from what I've gathered from this review, but I also don't think it's anywhere near as bright and aggressive as my S12 Pro. So which of the 3 do you think I should go for? The Melody is cheaper by about $15, so price isn't a huge factor. Of course, if you have other suggestions, always open to them. Thanks as always!

      EM6L seems an option and I never tried the Quartet unfortunately.

    Great review i allmost bought the melodys and probally will at some point, but with iems being released at an alarming rate, its hard to choose a set, I will recieve the ARTTI T10 planar iem in about 2 days, the cost £59 and are going to be a hit, ive been told they are like a more polished s12 pro, at a more affordable price.

    i'm looking for a warm but without losing too much of the technicaities. i tend to get fatigue when listening to female's vocal region on my simgot ew200. in this price range which one do you think is better for me, the melody or fudu? or do you have any other recommendation?

    • @VortexReviews1
      @VortexReviews1  Před 10 měsíci

      Fudu is an option and there is a hybrid ZiiGaat model which has a calmer vocal region but I don't have it yet.

    Not gonna get this. This might be the Cadenza of their planars. I'm sure Kiwiears will come up with a better planar
