In this video I review my Battle Mage build in GreedFall for an Extreme difficulty playthrough. In all honesty, playing as a mage has been so much fun, despite me typically not playing as a mage in most RPGs. I hope this build video helps you in your playthrough.

The classless progression system lets you tap various branches from an extensive skill tree and create your own skill synergies. With over a hundred skills to choose from, along with thousands of combinations of equipment, you forge your very own experience.

Progress and achieve quests in a multitude of different ways, from combat to diplomacy and deception. The way you reach your objectives depends solely on your choices and how you choose to develop your character. In GreedFall, situations are not always resolved by spilling blood. The wits of you and your companions are just as important as your prowess with a blade, and wise diplomacy, stealth, science or a well-used skill may negate the need for combat.
The world of GreedFall is home to numerous factions, each with their own beliefs, territories, goals, allies and enemies. You will forge and break alliances, weaving your way through an intricate reputation system. Every decision you make has the potential to please or anger these factions and their leading figures, as well your companions. Your ability to handle diplomatic encounters, the two party members you choose to bring to encounters, and who you will decide to help or fight, will ultimately impact the geopolitical landscape of the island.

With the quality of your videos, you deserve more followers. I liked this Battle Mage video, for it's practical tips on setting up a Mage the right way. You've inspired me to do a points reset, which I had been thinking about for a while, but I'm only a level 18 mage, so I can't get to where you are right away. But now I know a lot more about which branches to get started, so I can build as I go. I've always played my RPG's as a melee character, and decided to play the magic side with this game. However, I found it hard to avoid getting closer into the fighting, and as you would expect, it was hard to stay alive.
Now I'm going to stay as the Mage, and your tips have been invaluable. Thanks!

You my friend are fantastic! I just brought Greedfall for the playstation 5 today! Is it worth playing? I am up in the air about it! I LOVE RPG'S ! At ... 15:50 why didn't you Storm>Shadow Burst since the former buffs all magic damage you deal by 25%?
Yeah and then ... the mini-boss immediately after? Sure it costs ... a lot of Mana to use Storm ... but that's a HUGE DPS INCREASE ... even if you only spam the barrage stuff with the free shots... why not?
Idk lemme go back a few years to figure out why I did what I did.

How do I switch to the pistol during the fight? Playing with XBox360 controller... Amazing Game ;)
I bound the skill to he ⬆️ on the D pad. Made things so easy. Gun up, stasis R,
This isn't a mage - its a battle alchemist - his magic recovery is shit - Max out VIgor the first chance you get
Isn’t that out of combat regen? Never tested it tbh but I found 1 to be OK, have 3 now with armour.

One of the best AA games I’ve played.
It’s a fun game. Magic is a little op but guns are just stupid. I tried a melee bomb build and it was pretty fun. Just don’t fall into the gun temptation lol
@@ratty2012 What are you talking about? Guns are pretty fun and can be the most op thing in the game.
