@Mia 15239 Here's a thought that might help you: Being tyrannical involves demanding things you have no right to demand. Your coworkers can not demand things from you in the same way your boss can. They have different rights based on their position. And God has a position that is not even in the same category (being God as opposed to being a created being). What would be tyrannical for a human is not necessarily tyrannical for God. Sometimes we misunderstand God because we think of him as if he was just a man. I'm not saying John Piper is perfectly right on everything (since he is human) but I think he is far from portraying God like Hitler. I say that considering how he talks about God's grace and mercy in his sermons and podcast episodes.
