- After visiting the Kreeger Museum in late August 2021 I went home and watched L.A. Confidential again. This former mansion and now modern art / impressionist museum looks and feels like a set piece from that masterpiece of a Film Noir. I get the impression that the Kreeger Museum is the kind of place that has seen a lot of high rollers make big calls and hides a lot of their secrets. So, what the hell was I doing there? And why on earth did they even let me in? Hmmm. It appears the powerful aren’t too careful, because wherever I go I always rattle the cage to see what moves and what sticks.

Nice vid
Thank you so much. Have you been there?
Always enjoy doing museum tours with your terse and intense commentary, Sean!
Okay... I'm wondering why there are two 1960s-vintage receivers in that wooden cabinet. A functional one and a backup? I assume the turntable is in one of those lower pull-out drawers. And I didn't see any speakers in the room. Odd set up. Was this particular room supposed to be somebody's concept of functional artsy décor?
I think the record player was yet another exhibit designed by some evil Mad Hatter hipster. Of all the art work on display it definitely caught my attention and stopped me in my tracks. Who knows, perhaps it belonged to Mr. Kreeger back in the day and when the mansion was converted into an art gallery the record player was too cool to not keep and was converted into an art piece. “It really tied the room together.”
@@seanlacey6651 A hipster accessory…
Can you USE the record player? It looks cool. I'd love to have it in a bigger home. Current house is too small for something that large. I wanna go to Kreeger now.
The sculptures by the pond are A+.
It’s free to go. All you have to do is schedule a time via the website.
