It never ceases to amaze me why people don't clear all their shite away from where a tradesman has to work.
I couldn't deal with that, so annoying. If I have a tradesman round, I'll pull everything out and clean and hoover in the process. Let him do his/her thing then clean and hoover and put everything back.
I would do the same thing. Sadly, many people don't bother with that courtesy. You wouldn't believe some of the crap I have to plow through to do my job as an IT Tech.
Used to be a heating engineer.if the boiler was in the airing cupboard some would expect you to move all the clothes and shelf's to give access.i used to pile all the clothes on their bed so they had to put it all back.😁
God that pisses me off so much...just why!!! I don't get it
I get it all the time aswell. People just don't seem to have good manners anymore. Either that or they're just plain ignorant lol.
@@waynebailey5812 Lazy/Ignorant - take your pick.
Can't believe they called you out but didn't clear a place for you to work in advance. I'd imagine a loose connection not helped by a faceplate with a missing screw!
It happens all the time….
*Note to home owner*
You know the tradespeople are on their way because you called them. How about moving a junk away from the area Long before the door knocks.
Drives me mad 😂
Wouldn't you think people would figure this out.
Can your shite come out ? - errr.
When working fitting meters it was always old people that would have the area cleared before you arrived, the younger generation would expect you to do it, bearing in mind if the meter was located under the stairs you could get a lot of of gear in there, I remember once there was a sofa and two arm chairs in one cupboard
I do odd jobs. A few months ago i was fitting some skirting and the floor was so dirty my jeans stuck to it.
Merry Christmas happy new year Del
I learned a new word from Delroy‘fastidious’
Delroy has an excellent vocabulary. "Fastidious" is a wonderful word.
Del...did some of those cables exit the back box to the right...behind the multi faceplate ? ..coz noticed there was a metal knife rack ... wondered had it been screwed to the wall ...and cables behind
Looks like DIY went wrong. nice work keep it up
6:57 I personally would have removed all the knives from the magnetic hanger before working there, its just tempting fate!!!
Should be able to inspect that switch connection unite at 90 deg so they need to leave enough cable particularly in tiled areas because of the limitations. I would use MK accessories personally because their robust and are fit for purpose👍
I use to clean my gas cooker before the gas engineer arrived. Inside out and the rear. He was shocked and thankful. As I said to him, I am an electrician, I know what it's like. Plus you must have some sense of pride in your home. I have walked into homes that you need to get out fast. Faced with filth and muck. Animal owners the worst and nurses homes. That's my experience of 40 years in the electrical trades.
Sometimes it really is as simple as that
No mention of the loose oven socket or junction box ?
Just hanging there putting strain on the cables
Could of been an intermittent problem with the switch too.
Somebody had been fiddling with the grid switch
Great video as always. But in your opening segment when you talk to the camera whilst driving, please don’t touch your camera to end recording whilst you are driving. If a copper sees this you are ‘banged to rights’.
Why do you think that? What do you think the offence would be?
In the UK it is against the law to touch or operate a mobile phone, sat nav etc whilst driving. Even if stopped but you still have the engine running including at traffic lights. You get fined and points on your licence.
@@JemTheWire Against which law? We’re not talking about a phone or satnav, we’re talking about a camera. Let me know the act and section you think provides the offence in relation to a camera. Hint, you won’t find it, there isn’t one. You’re ‘bang to rights’ as all boomer armchair lawyers like to say.
Why do people like you like to invent offences. There’s enough unnecessary laws and restrictions as it is, without you hallucinating more. Move to North Korea if you want to live somewhere where everything’s illegal.
@sam.p12345 I have said what I needed to say. The coppers can have you for driving without due care and attention at the very least. Neither of us know if it is an actual camera or mobile phone camera. Either way my statement stands. All I am trying to do here is point out he might get some points and a fine or God forbid, he causes an accident. I'm out.
Did you sort out your van theft
New Megger .. which one do you like ! ?
Damm Del u get through some ballache jobs mate..no moaning...those under bench sockets have been a headache for u
I just refuse to work until they've tidied their shit away cos if you break anything they want it replaced

I'm first.
The more junk you have to move the longer the job, charge the lazy idiots accordingly.
You invested in the black megger del or is it your sons?
What a terrible installation. How can any of that be deemed as serviceable. What happens if the fuse blows in the plug top, it's a full strip of the appliance for a simple job.
