We did Back On Top!! I agree Ani has the most underrated music and the BEST song!

I hadn’t watched Ani prior to StarKid Innit because I’ve never watched Star Wars itself, but after hearing “Back On Top” at the show, I’ve had the whole album on repeat! It’s such a bop!
It is! And Ani is also fun (says me, a person who also knows pretty much nothing about Star Wars)

It looks like y'all are having so much fun in the rehearsals, thank you for capturing some moments for us! Also, wow that rehearsal room has lots of bits and bobs in it, there's so much interesting stuff to look at behind you all. Every time I rewatch the video, I find something new in the background.

Also, a large portion of the songs in the forgotten medley are some of my favorite Starkid songs and frequently pop into my head 😂

He's just an incredible dancer!!! I love seeing him dance!!
When I was 14, we had to choreograph a dance in phy-ed and my friends insisted we do a squat and then stand up within like 5 seconds, and I knew I couldn’t do it, but I had to, and my knee ligaments snapped as I stood and fucked my knees up for months. Turns out I have a genetic collagen disorder and my knee joints are just genetically out of control ✌️. Despite what my mom and doctor told me when I was 14, it’s not at all about being weak, it’s that my ligaments don’t ligament the way they’re supposed to. I like to think of it like when people with normal knee function stand up, their knee ligaments are like “okay, we’re standing up now. Totally on board.”, whereas my knee ligaments go “oh wait oh shoot we’re standing up?! Wait hold on I got distracted- I wasn’t prepared…”
I understand how uncomfortable it is to have everyone around you standing up quickly during a dance and your knees aren’t ready for it, but after years of prioritizing fitting in over my knees, I’d recommend to everyone with sad knees to take the time to stand up that your body needs, because rushing it can seriously damage your knees. I honestly would rather be the one that stands up too slow than the one that needed knee surgery because they stood up too fast.
And as a disabled person in theatre, *please speak the fuck up when you can’t do something people are asking you to do*. (“Can’t do” encompasses “could do, but it would cause me pain, suffering, and/or distress”.) Theatre can be accommodating, and it’s pointless to suffer in silence when the people around you would be willing to accommodate you if you’d just ask. The theater is full of creative solutions. There is always a way to accommodate, and if anyone tells you there isn’t, you might have a legal case against them. Your health and safety comes before any cool dance, stage effect, or other theatre element.

I still cannot believe I saw you guys live 🥹 It still hasn't sunk in somehow. Thank you guys a thousand times for coming to the UK it really was a phenomenal experience, after 15 (?!) years of following along with Starkid i had always hoped one day I'd get to see you live!!! I hope with how well the show sold that this may mean more on the horizon some time but I can certainly die happy knowing I got to see you!!! I also hope that you enjoyed your stay here! I know it was a short trip and a busy one because work but I hope London treated you well! ✨💚✨
That whole medley was so funny, your Hermione can't draw/lupin part was so good I absolutely lost it on Sunday. ALSO I was super not expecting an Ani song in SO GLAD you requested it it was such a great surprise!!! Me and the friends I went to your show with have known each other for a fair few years but we rarely get the chance to see each other because I'm up in Scotland and they're down in London so this was an even more special event because it brought us together and bonded us even more especially because I found out one of my friends favourite show is Starship like me!
I also broke my no fast fashion rule to get the shirt although I had to wait till I got back up to Scotland because I ended up travelling home so early on Monday ;0; I was so scared they wouldn't have it but I got it! It's nice to have a wearable memento of such a great night.
Thank you again for taking such a big trip across the pond and putting so much love and care into the show, the show was unforgettable and I absolutely went home barely being able to speak and hear from all the singing and shouting. Everyone did such an amazing job you're all so incredibly skilled and talented and while I know that from 15 years worth of proof it definitely brings it home when you get to see it in person.
Also it was a little funny because obviously in general it was like oh hey those are those guys from the musicals I love but I also had a moment where I went that's Meredith and Brian from her vlogs!!! Your vlogs are such a part of my routine these past few years it was funny that my brain specifically got excited to see you both for extra reasons.
Seeing Lauren constantly losing it over everyone's shenanigans is cracking me up so much. Also piano nap is incredibly relatable, I remember many years back when I was in college for production we used to nap in the costume store on slow days and we weren't having to contend with jet lag!
Anyway I've written SO MUCH here oh no, I just wanted to express how much I appreciate y'all. And also how much I appreciate your vlogs and I'm going to try and comment more whenever I'm not a busy bee. ✨💚✨
OH and I forgot to say but if it makes you feel any better I've always had bad knees, I'm an ex dancer (ballet, tap, jazz and freestyle) of many many years and even as a teen my knees were a nightmare, hate kneeling, hate squatting I try and avoid any weightbearing on bent knee because it sucks xD

meredith i have the exact same knee problem!! i’m a dancer and i had a big growth spurt in middle school which caused it for me. what i find helpful is riding my back and doing quad strengthening. let me know if this helps you at all :)
