I’m sorry but this relationship is between Jayllynn and Cardo not Jayllyn Cardo and Cardos sister and momma. If you two love each other you’re families are gonna just have to deal with it because it’s your life and it’s your choice. And Cardos sister is at 💯 and I need her to take it down several different notches.
This relationship will be torn apart eventually....
1. If Cardo will NOT learn to build a protective wall around ya'll issues, he should realize that family and friends can only gain access into any relationship depending on what is told to them. If you love Jay enough, keep your issues private as you deal with them and if you must seek outside help, it shouldn't be from family because they are already biased. I foresee a situation where Cardo's family will continue weakening this relationship until it falls apart and I believe his sister is not alone in this quest and Cardo will have played a big role in it because he invited them in his issues in the first place.
2. Jaylln on the other hand must learn to TONE down, life is not about winning all the time! in any loving relationship you must learn when to retreat for the sake of peace. You don't have to agree with everything that's going on but learn to chill until the situation passes because it will definitely pass. If you had ignored Cardos sister when she came in, it would have saved ya'll from all that drama.. the eyes rolling and gestures as Cardo was talking summaries your whole attitude. This will cost you not only your current relationship but any other thereafter. As you grow older, you will learn that toning down always takes you further, and it's not a sign of defeat either..
Finally, I don't know what caused the situation with Cardo wanting to take a break from your r/ship but all relationships go through ups and downs and its all about whether the two of you are willing to put in the work, Jayllnn remember that for Cardo this his first gay r/ship as well so he may be dealing with a lot more that he's willing to admit. So take time off, just the two of you, and communicate honestly with each other, do this as often as you need to and you will see yourselves coming to a conclusion that will determine how you proceed from here..

Cardo you seem to be pretty low key however you could intervene more just cause your blood doesn't mean they're exempt from being checked if they're in the wrong. Boundaries should be established immediately with your family and your lover. Your his protector you can't put him in a snare trap and be surprised when he tries to break free. You knew inviting Tee Tee was a bad idea regardless. You could have left grabbed what you needed for the time being and come back for the rest later. Jay being that you and Cardo's sister/family don't get along right now..both sides need to find a place of mutual respect for the sake of the common denominators being Cardo...& your relationship with him. Cardo.. you were dead wrong for calling your sister into this situation..Especially knowing that there's tension between the two..it's also your responsibility to check her, for being disrespectful to Jay and your relationship. You may also want to keep in mind that your family may be looking at your relationship with Jay as "just a phase" or an experiment (if you will), considering it's your first relationship with a man.. In these cases, they're just waiting for it to end or just for a reason to pounce!!! The longer you guys stay together, the realer it becomes to them and often the angrier & more resistant they become sometimes. Regardless of the scenarios, your relationship is your relationship... your mate, comes first. Your family's always your family! So if you know that certain members aren't cool..then keep your household business to yourself and them out of it!! To answer the question as to what I would do. Well that's hard because Cardo is a brother and for a sister her brother is her first love for a man so she's going to protect him with all she got and be on your head all the time. As for Jayllnn you are very out spoken and most of the time don't back down so it's two fires going at each other. Then, Cardo just is caught in the middle and want peace. My only opinion is to maybe go to lunch with open minds and clear the air letting each other know I'm not in it to attack you or be your enemy can we just squash it and start fresh.

However, they do know its not always that way and that's why they talk to others, look at the evidence. It should not be automatically assumed that you would be arrested, but you did make the right decision to stay away from her and not touch her. Jaylyn, stay away from the sister. You cant force her to accept you or to respect your relationship. We cant control what others do, only how we choose to deal with it. About the situation, its hard - Cardo wants a relationship with his family. The reality is, not everyone is going to get on and not everyone is going to approve of your relationship. Cardo made a valid point, when his family only hear the bad stuff, they are going to have a negative view. Maybe spend some time with his family (NOT the sister), so they can see how good are you. Cardo, find others to talk to about the bad stuff, people you trust who perhaps know both of you and can give you better, unbiased feedback or who will just listen. As long as you love and respect EACH OTHER, you will find your way and will stay strong. Just keep the communication going, respect each others views and differences, support each other.
