Back around 99-2000 I lived in Tampa and interviewed for a security guard job. On the employee of the month plaque behind the manager was Vincent Crowley.
Vincent is one of my all time favorite vocalists. Dude sounds like he means every word he says.

He’s absolutely correct when he said “there’s nothing King Diamond has done that is shitty.” A flawless career and a class act gentleman. Also Vincent comes off as a quality guy. Throwing on some old Acheron today.

Love this interview. Two coolest dudes ever. "Dreams," from Spider's Lullaby rules. I love obscure King and Mercyful albums. In fact, most people say their favorite Mercyful album is "Don't Break The Oath," but mine is "9." That album is so fucking evil and vicious. Dead Again is awesome too. Another one of my favorites is "Time." 🤘
Speaking of Acheron, some ex-members formed a blackened death metal band called Equinox. Their album _Journey into Oblivion_ is killer.

The last song you're talking about on the Spider's Lullabye demo is Dreams. It's one of the best 90s demos ever, I find King's vocals better on those demos than the final album versions of those songs but either way Spider's Lullabye rules
I find it absolutely ridiculous that speaking of the first deathmetal album no one mentions "Bestial Devastation" and "Morbid Visions" by Sepultura, '85 and '86 respectively. That is DEFINITELY deathmetal.

Man, I watch mostly the interviews on this channel and the rest is mostly comedy for me, but damn I agree with the statements regarding 90's King Diamond and Mercyful Fate, I was a fan during the time they came out and never considered them lesser albums
I first heard Venom in 1981 when I bought the "In League with Satan" import single on Neat records. They preceded Mercyful Fate by just a little. They used to have a feud going in the press, Cronos would talk loud shit about King "Billy" and call 'em rip offs and posers. I still listen (and love) Mercy, Venom not so much.
