Several Marathi stage actors have done wonders in Hindi films. Handling celluloid frame was penuts for them, as they were groomed under extremely strict teachers like Vijaya Mehta, Pt. Satyadev Dubey, Jabbar Patel etc.
Reema ji was one such powerful artist. She could carry a character , any character with an in depth understanding. Raghu's mother in 'Vaastav' is an outstanding example of this.
Hindi film industry should be greatful to these powerpacked Marathi actors, who made their stories believable.

DIDI, I have seen lot of movies of REEMA G. I liked her performance the most in MAINE PYAR KIYA, HUM AAPKE HAIN KAUN & other movies also. She was excellent actress, everyone liked her roles. But sadly she left the world at very small age of 59. She was giving fantastic expressions as a mother & was very popular among audiences of bollywood. Thanks for this finest presentation.,... 👍👍

In my opinion, Reema was very beautiful, her facial features were perfect and she had amazing charm. It is hard for me to imagine why she couldn't be a top heroine except that there was a serenity and somberness in her which probably wouldn't have fit the types of silly and sometimes weird stuff actresses in the 90's had to do. If she had been born much earlier to participate in the cinema of the 60's thru early 80's, she would have been a roaring success. 🥰

I didn’t know her by name like I knew Nirupa Roy, Leela Chitnis, et Al of yesteryear, but I liked her. I have a great respect and liking for character artistes, esp. female artistes. I know that the film industry is unkind to them. Anyway, I knew Reema Lagoo since I first saw her in HUM AAPKE HAIN KAUN, where she stuck in my mind for her recital of that Madhubala couplet from MUGHAL-e-AZAM(1960) “….Meri aankon se mere khwab na Cheeniye Jahanpana. Mai mar jaaoongee.”
