    The old "the next stop is" on the 4/5 was the most powerful and commanding announcement in the system, its such a shame they removed it. Made them feel like the business lines they were

      @@edot_nyc I did and almost everytime it pulled atleast a 47 sometimes pushing 48-50 going downtown into 59th Street and on the way into 86 street. For the r142s atleast 45-46. Idk what operators you had driving your trains but them shits go fast and I know not to assume because of how much it's jerking. And don't say my speedometer isn't accurate either cuz I seen the actual red train speedometer say it. And trust me I ride the lex very often too so i know the east side very well.

    • @edot_nyc
      @edot_nyc Před rokem +1

      @@lamargoat2.054 I also live along the Lex Av lines. Trains do not hit 50MPH. Fastest i’ve seen a R142A go is 46MPH before 59th St and fastest i’ve seen a R142 is 45MPH at 110th St. So you must be seeing things if you really think trains go 50MPH. And that little comment you made with me getting “bad operators”, often times it has nothing to do with the operators. Sometimes the train has weak or completely dead motors in some cars. There’s also the possibility of a train not being able to accelerate up an incline in a tunnel. So unless you have video evidence to back up that claim of 50MPH then i’m all ears and open to any link you send.
