    I heard if you track it though you have wheel bearing maintenance and it’s expensive I have a 2014 911 S not the same front end and years is way more race focused I wish I had axle lift. Enjoy the beast

    Nice 991.1 GT3...the 10yr Engine warranty is up end of this year. Are you worried at all? Heard it will cost over $70K to replace the engine. Why don't Porsche take full responsibility and change all the 991.1 GT3 engine they messed up on and replace it with a G6 Engine!! Seeing more and more GT3 selling because of this scary expensive fix.

    • @shaneshow_
      @shaneshow_  Před 7 dny

      @@lapchoine6600 thank you, and mine was already replaced with the G6 in 2018 before I bought it. Only have 17k miles on it now. I'm not worried one bit. I have the invoice and it cost just over 50k to replace in 2018. Porsche did replace the first almost 1000 off the line 991.1 GT3 with E engines. Then E1 engines had the finger follower issue.

    • @shaneshow_
      @shaneshow_  Před 7 dny +1

      There will be a large price gap of replaced and non replaced in the next year after all the warranties expire.

      @lapchoine6600 Před 7 dny

      @@shaneshow_ Yeah I seen the ones that had no engine replacement selling for just under $100K. I bet early next year that price might even drop some more since there is till 4 months of warranty left before year end. Will be interesting to see what happens in the GT3 market.

      A friend of mine offered me a blue 991.1 2014 GT3 with 15k miles on the odometer
      The condition of the car is 10/10
      But he’s asking for 106k
      Do you recommend it ? And what about the price is it a good deal ?
      Thanks in advance

    • @shaneshow_
      @shaneshow_  Před 5 měsíci +2

      @@user-ju2py8xl8z For that price I am assuming that the motor has not been replaced, if it has, the engine code will start with a G. If it is an E or F it has not been. There is a long article about it on rennlist if you search on that forum. The low miles and condition sound enticing for that price but on the E1 and F series motors they typically don't missfire (which causes complete engine replacement) until 25-40k miles depending on how the car is driven. Seeing as how for the 2014 the 10 year warranty has expired you will see a price difference between the two. The motor is about a 50k out of pocket cost all said and done. In my opinion and for myself I would not buy a 991.1 unless it has the G6 motor.
