PizzaDoesThings: Seems to me, that t.v. watchers realized, the show dealt with uncomfortable, slightly taboo REAL situations--teenage pregnancy and infidelity, which also brought along with it, pregnancy--in a MATURE manner. The show actually put into action, the phrase "anything for the good of my family." That's quite admirable, IMHO.
No, it got cancelled when the cw took over the wb. I think they let a few of the episodes they had already recorded air eventually to wrap it up. But the cw totally messed up that one. They tried to make the channel more drama filled and it lost so many great shows and people (Amy Sherman-Palladino from Gilmore girls also comes to mind during this change of owners).
I love this show ! Reba and Millissa play off each other so well. It's a fantastic show and I am so happy that TV is showing reruns. I do wish they would have a reboot plus keep Reba on TV forever
Reba & Melissa were the Female Versions of Andy Taylor & Barney Fife of the show, Reba was the straight face and Melissa stole the show God Bless These Ladies, They'll Always and Forever be known as Reba & Barbra Jean
Reba reboot would be great. Van and Chyanne would be parents to a teenage Elizabeth. Jake would be all grown up, kids of his own probably. Kiera maybe? She strikes me as the fun aunt that doesn't want kids. And reba and Barbara jean still neighbors...
Modern day Lucy and Ethel. Well I posted this before watching the entire video and now I see that I am not the only one who sees them as modern day Lucy and Ethel.
I met the guy that played Van, in real life, for the show Shameless (at a fan outing). Total dick. Completely. It was such a huge letdown. Fame has definitely gone to his head.
That's funny considering he didn't do anything after the show he's just a big nobody you don't even know what his name is LOL sorry he was a jerk to you
I love Reba the sitcom. One of the best sitcoms. I love Reba, the person, too, but her character is overly controlling and that was sometimes annoying to me. My favorite characters are BJ and Van. They are both hilarious.. I loved all of the episodes, but my favorite one I think callled moment in time, when they made the tape for Elizabeth. Great show. Its a pity they only did 6 seasons.
Let me say this though. They are funny like Lucy and Ethel but Reba is way more humble than Lucy was. Lucy was always afraid of being upstaged by anyone but especially Ethel. It was in her contract. I can't EVER imagine Reba treating anyone that way.

They are best friends. I watched a video a couple of nights ago where Reba said she LOVES Melissa and she's really funny. The relationship between Reba & Barbra Jean isn't the same as their real life friendship.
Great show. But they did the right thing,they knew when to stop. Steve wanted to leave, and Scarlett as I recall had some health issues. They all knew that a sitcom has a life span, they were smart to stop before it lost quality.

They were like another version of Lucy and Ethel on this show!!! Reba and Barbra Jean's relationship was always my favourite part of "Reba". :)
