Still my favorite John Williams piece of music to this day. I get overly emotional every time I see this scene. The power, the slow building crescendo, the snappy ending…. It’s magical. Pun intended. Williams will go down as a legend of music genius for all time. I also have to compliment director Chris Columbus for ending the film with the huge emotional moment, zooming out of Hogwarts at the speed of the music, and feeling the weight of the totality that is the students and teachers and how they can’t be stopped when they all work together which later is a theme in Deathly Hallows that comes back in the end of the series when they take on Voldemort. Everyone is stronger together.
I actually attended one of these concerts a few months ago back in June, they were showing the first Harry Potter film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in concert in Edmonton, Canada, I flew all the way from Toronto to see it, it was worth it, I’m saving up money to buy two tickets for one of my family members for when I see Chamber of Secrets in concert next year, I want them to experience it with me
I know it's a touching scene, but it doesn't make sense. No one cares about hagrid except harry ron and hermione (something especiallly shown in goblet of fire after rita skeeter wrote a smearing story about him)
I think theres no other way to free hagrid cause even dumbledore didnt know who opened the chamber of secrets .... but Harry found out and then hagrid got free
