Having owned an original ARP-2600 Grey version in the 80ties I can testify that the sound of this Korg 2600 comes very close. I'm also very pleased to see that they included SYNC possibility of the VCO's, something the original was lacking from. And ofcourse the ARP 1601 sequencer had to be integrated as well. The question is, how does it compare to other 2600 emulations. As the other additions to the collection are an EP and an organ I don’t see paying $99 now for an upgrade. I have the Cherry 2600 and the Arturia but the Arturia is rather old and cherry audio also not always has the most exact emulations.
I've tried many of the Cherry plug ins and most of them to me sound sterile. The Moog was one was OK. Korg tries to reach minimal standards much of the time, and they may have actually achieved something real sounding here.
There is a grace period. It is mentioned on the Korg web page. Users who purchased the KORG Collection 4 - Full Version between 2024/6/3 and 2024/7/18 are eligible for a free upgrade (Grace Period). Please login to your KORG ID for further details.
Hi, very nice work!, I have a question, and sorry if it very obvious, but why sometimes the sequencers lights are on following the steps and sometimes are off?
How the Korg compares with Arturia and Cherry Audio emulations? I have both and looking at your demo, they all basically sound the same. Also I think Arp 2600 is one of those synths that you really need to experience in hardware, using a mouse or a midi controller is too much inefficient and slow
This plugin is a beast!!!!
It sure is, make sure you check out my free sound pack for it
I’ve been playing around with it and it is insanely good. Head and shoulders above almost every software synth I’ve tried.
@@aquaticborealis4877 and its very fun to play with
nicely done! and THX for your time creating/sharing your patch collection :)
@@thom_lester no problem, I have another set in the works

I think it will be when I am using the sequencer or at least have it on.

I would love to have the hardware but this is the next best thing, and having patch storage is great.
