My sister has a growth condition too, at the annual conference we go to for it, we've asked people the same before (only to guess the ages of those we know won't get offended) then we can inform them about the condition.

It's possible, these days some parents will use their kids for clout/viwes, even if they're not celebrities. If it's a test are the other adults supposed to tell her she can't drink because she's not old enough, even though she might just look young for her age, or call her parents.
I am not giving the production crew any slack here, but Shawna actually said in her own words that it’s stunted her growth, and she looks like an eight year old child that basically, when her growth stunted, she was eight years old, and she never grew after that. I am.

They might ID at the door so the bartenders don’t have to. It takes a lot of time away from them serving if they did the IDing. I think some places you have to put in a bday which is even more time but not 100% sure on that.

My sister in law looked 16 when was pregnant with her and my brothers first child. She would tell us these stories about how people treated her even when she tried to flash her wedding ring. I worked the door at a strip club and had a guy that looked like he was a child come up and hand me an id, I just said no, and handed him his id back.. he said yes and handed it back.. i scrutinized it and call my manager and it checked out.. so we said have fun and let him in.. he had a group of friends with him that were all in their 20s that were just laughing the whole time cause , they said this happens every time.

Not being rude but I don't think you understand how judgmental this is. Yes people who can't mind their own business will question her relationships because of how old she appears. However she's no less capable of finding love than anyone else in this world. To sit there and basically say that it's going to be hard because she's not anyone's ideal type is far beyond superficial. The person who falls in love with her isn't going to be like "I'm not attracted to you because of this". The only thing they'll be thinking about is who she is. I understand you seem upset that people will view her in a certain way but you are doing that, not those people. It's not tough at all. It's going to make it EASIER for her to find the right person for her that loves her for who she is and nothing else. It's a strength, not a weakness in any way.

Coulda just said the last bit. Of course we use common characteristics to determine things. Children are typically small and adults are larger. She also sounds and looks like a child, unlike a standard little person since her condition is extremely rare.
As a bartender, I would have legitimately asked the whole group for ID’s. When it’s your job, it’s not being judgmental. It’s just about legalities. There’s no way I would’ve just handed over beers like that. I understand that this was staged and set up with a film crew. But in real life, there’s no way a bartender could act that way.
People can grow a spine if asking about a medical condition thats rare is taken as offensive and not as the genuine curiosity that it is.

I've never related so much, I'm 21 but I'm really short, I'm like 4'10 and people think I'm a lot younger than i actually am and it's frustrating, sad and tiring dealing with the way people see you or how they act around you, or even their "jokes " that are hurtful cause of all the trauma and bullying I've dealt with my entire life and feeling like i don't belong in my own skin.
