This place was the best I had been over 30 times I took my husband on our first date to boblo in 1990 he had never been we were 23 &27 years old love it plus the late boat at night was the best
I went to Boblo Island, when I was 4. Don’t remember going there with family. We didn’t take pictures, when we’re there. Not sure, why we didn’t bring camera, when we went on different vacations.
@@dm95422 well, maybe we could use the old belle isle zoo? Demolish some parts of it, you’re left with concrete pits conducive to concert amphitheaters (say that five times fast) and wide swathes of open land. Perfect for development as a throwback to Boblo.
@@georgejetson1025 They didn't ask for paperwork or even ask any questions when you got on the boat. I don't remember anything at all about the boat and customs. In the early 80s, we used to cross over to Windsor to go drinking every week. They would just ask citizenship, place of birth, where we were going. Usually throw in a random question like how long we were going to be in Canada or if we were bringing in anything other than our personal belongings. Or any alcohol or tobacco. Once in a blue moon they might ask to see your ID. It wasn't unusual when coming back that the US would just ask where we were coming from. We would say whatever bar we had been at and they would just wave us through. Technically you were supposed to have ID and your birth certificate if you were a US citizen. But I had crossed the border hundreds of times with lots of people and we were never denied entry with showing nothing more than a driver's license. Ahh the good old days. Everything changed after 9/11 and I have never left the country since.
Our school went there every summer .. Had so much fun .. miss those days ..

I miss boblo.
Everything cool from my youth is gone
My 7th birthday
If it was still open today, I wonder if they would require a passport/enhanced ID since it's a Canadian island?
We're in the different world now........I doubt it would be open today.

They need to bring Boblo back 👌🏼😇🥰🙋🏻♀️💯‼️🎉🎊😎🥳🌠 it's beautiful you don't have to go to cedar point
I think it offered something that Cedar Point didn’t and doesn’t.
Democrats ruined Boblo
No, Ontario property values ruined Boblo. It's far more valuable as housing.
