- What an amazing honor to know that D.O., Baekhyun, Suho, and Chanyeol took their time and dedication to learn someone else’s language and respectfully gave a tribute to all Hispanic international Fans and our culture, in perfect Spanish, with no pronunciation errors, and keeping the same emotional classical essence that this song is known for.
I was born in Lima, Peru and lived in Mendoza, Argentina through elementary and high schools, before moving again to Rio, Brazil where I graduated from college and lived for 14 years before moving to the US. I know that all and Latinos from every country that speaks Spanish as its native language felt full of pride and respect for EXO, and their tribute. This performance only makes us love and respect them more.
I look forward to one day be able to thank you in your own language!

But some other information:
At first exo had 12 members. 6 of them debuted as exo-k (singing in korean, not the vocal sub unit.
Suho: leader
Vocal line: suho, baekhyun, d.o
Rapline: chanyeol (main) + kai and sehun
Main dancers: kai , sehun
And the other 6 members debuted as exo-m (singing in mandarin-chinese)
2 of them were korean but sings in Chinese (xiumin and chen) and other 4 were chinese.
Kris wu: leader
Vocal line: chen, xiumin, luhan, lay
Rapline: kris(main) + tao
Main dancers: lay + luhan
But when three chinese members left the group (kris, luhan and tao) only one Chinese member left (our precious LAY ~_~it was really hard for him. And people said a lot of bad things to him but he kept strong and stayed with us)
In i guess 2015 (or 2014 i can't remember) all other9 members debuted as one group, called (exo) ... The leader is suho (his name means guardian) and as i said before, all members improved their skills so you can't say who is in vocal line and who is rap line. They all improved their vocal, rap and dancing skills. Now all rap line are vocalists and all vocal line of exo do rap (i was shocked with baekhyuns rap in HOROLOLO...kekek ^^) and exo sings in three languages (not signing once like Spanish and Thai, they release albums and concerts in these three languages)
Chinese , Korean and Japanese (exo sub unit cbx's songs are mostly Japanese, and their performances in Japan were epic!!!!! It called magical circus (i guess i spelled this word wrong...lol)
Oh and don't forget ENGLISH...kekek. lay releases also English songs.( He debuted also in America with his eng song *namanana* ) And other members also cover english aongs, or sometimes they perform their own songs' in english version (e.g D.O performed FOR LIFE's English version in one of their performances)

D.O s d best n singing/speaking othr languages..he sounds lyk a native..esp his ejglish evn tho he couldn't converse..too bad they only had ds 1 song that's spanish..would've wanted 2 hear more..ds ws a music bank n mexico..it ws only exo-k who performed there..they dd growl & overdose..& sabor a mi w/ only baekhyun, suho, d.o & chabyeol (left 2 right)..so mesmerized w/ d.o's perfect accent w/ hs rolling of r's & channie's guitar playing..haha..enjoyed a lot! Thanks for reacting to an EXO performance and for appreciating our dear D.Os vocals. He may not be the most visible member due to his commitments as an actor prior to military enlistment, but his vocals is a gem not only in EXO but in the entire KPOP music scene as his type of vocal texture and style is rare in KPOP. He's known to be the vocalist who has the most agile vocals in KPOP, smoothly transitioning from one range to another. If you think he is awesome in their studio version, you'd be amazed at how he sang in their concerts effortlessly which makes you wonder how many lungs he's got in his ribcage. All of my boys are great but I prefer D.O the most as I don't find his vocals in any other KPOP group.

And he learnt most of them by himself (self-taught) why? Bcz he says he doesn't like to be at home and doesn't do anything. So he managed to use his free times to learn different music instruments. ^^ lol. And exo members say if he sees any other instruments, he would learn to play them so fast. ^^ (i guess you watched this video before chanyeol's guide. Now you know chan can do a lot of things ~_~ )
*Some more exo information:*
exo won the award of fastest selling all the tickets for their concerts (in just 0.2 second all tickets got sold. They broke their own previous record. Unbelievable. Right? It is not only in kpop. It is an international record. we all know bts and black pink are more famous internationally and their records are sth between 2 or 4 minutes..so you can see how popular exo is) and the second place is also for them (in only 0.4 second , it is crazy! Not even 1 sec ) they even won the award of having best concerts(I'm sure about years 2017 and 2018 for exo planet 3 and 4 . But i saw a video that they won this award also in 2016. I was so busy with studies that time so I'm not sure) . (There is groups that have bigger concerts , like BTS "my second favourite group after exo ~_~ my handsome princes", but exo won the award of best concerts. They have the coolest concept and concerts and that is the reason even people that are not their fan, kill people to buy one ticket and attend their concerts. Lol....(it is said the process of buying an exo ticket is harder than being able to study medicine in harward...lol...it is a rough way to reach a ticket) They are know as Vocal kings, not bcz there is no other good singers (this is funny when some exo-ls say that there is no one that can sing like exo members..!!! R U kiddin' me? Lol!!! There is a lot of singers even better than some exo members) but...it is about their harmony as a group. Not individually. Even the main rapper of exo is an amazing vocalist that can be the main vocal line if he was in another group. They call exo vocal kings bcz all members are almost in same level -best level- and their harmony when they sing live is unbelievable...a lot of people say they always lip sync, but after the JYP party night that they sang CALL ME BABY and 6 other sings acapella, haters were shocked bcz of their harmony...lol....so yeh...they practice like 25 hours a day. That is why they sound unbelievable to people who don't know them. And they are such cute babies with a lot of faults in their live performances. They have voice cracks, sometimes they forget their lines (their reactions are the funniest thing ever. Kekeke) and some other things like problems with microphone and stuff. So these things are not bad in my opinion, they are proofs for haters to show they sing live. I'll make a video about it in summer.

As an American of Mexican decent, I am humbled and honored at EXO’s homage to the Mexican music by singing “Sabor A Mi”, like you said, FLAWLESSLY. All hours they spent practicing was not in vain.
“Sabor A Mi” (Taste of Me") is a 1959 Bolero by Mexican composer and singer Alvaro Carrillo. It was internationally popularized by the Mexican trio Los Panchos. Since its creation, the song has been covered by several artists, including among them Mexican singer Luis Miguel.
Chenyeol, who plays guitar, I’m sure had to delicate additional hours to practice and learn the Requinto guitar, which too, he played FLAWLESSLY.
The requinto guitar is now especially popular in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America. In Mexico it is used in Trios Románticos.
It was first introduced in popular music in 1945 by Mexican guitarist/vocalist Alfredo Gil of romantic music trio "Los Panchos”.

One of the things I love from the groups in SM ent, is that they took their time to learn and respect other cultures by giving their best when singing in other languages. Super Junior, EXO & NCT has covered songs in foreign languages (not only english, mandarin & chinese) but spanish, thailand, philipines, indonesian, vietnamese etc.

So from left to right, it was Baekhyun, Suho (the leader), D.O. and Chanyeol. Remember how Chanyeol is the main rapper of EXO-K and how we said he was multi-talented and can play several instruments? ... Case in point, he can play a classic Spanish guitar and you got to hear his sweet singing voice. :D (There was no backing track on that guitar, Chanyeol was playing every note live.) D.O. is the best at singing in other languages, but they all work really hard at making sure their pronunciation is as perfect as possible in whatever language they are performing in.
This was a performance for the music show Music Bank (similar to the MCountdown program you have watched several comeback stages from. It's just a different Korean TV network's version of a music show. :D) and it was a special performance stage for the show in Mexico. But EXO, and most Kpop groups and artists, usually perform at least one song in the native language of whatever country they are in at every concert. So I think this has helped them to learn to tune their ears to be able to pick up on the intricacies of how words need to be pronounced to sound fluent. Most of the time they don't speak the language, but when they sing they can fool you into thinking they can. ;P

SM entertainment artists (EXO's company) has many artists that have done some spanish/latino songs. Many of their groups have a huge fanbase in latin america. Super Junior even has some songs collaborating with latino singers.
