  • Hey Everyone, This video is about how I design fishing lures for my G0704 CNC using Fusion 360. This is a very quick and easy tutorial, and hopefully get you set up with very basic information. If you like this video and want a follow-up as to how I added a bunch of details to the lure I showed, let me know I will gladly make another video going into more detail.
    Thank you so much and enjoy!
    Some items I use to make fishing lures after they are cut out.
    I am not sponsored by anyone, so use the link, don't use the link, i don't care either way.
    My favorite plastic to use due to cost....

    Super Great.... 2 weeks doing research on how to do this project and you are the only one who explains it. ....
    I wish if you could do one for metal JIG
    i am so glad to find your video super like mate.

      Do you want a video on how to CNC one out of metal? Or create a mold and pour one out of aluminum? Cause to be honest, I think if you wanted to make metal Jigs, sand casting and CNC a mold for impression might be the best, least amount of waste and you get to make molten metal.... This might be a project I end up doing to show how it's done, not complicated and really simple to get into metal casting... Ok my friend, you have my interest for a new video 😂

      @@kazierkreations9382 what I need is just to show how to design the metal jig and mold only...
      example get the design of Tokayo jig or Daiwa SK3 or Shimano Butterfly stinger and do it same as this video design and creative the mold.
      I would appreciate it so much. The notification bell 🔔 is on once it is ready to jump in 😍

    Great tutorial. But I do have a question. I followed you step-by-step. When I created the air vents and the injection port, then turned my body 2 on the cut out only appeared in one side of the mold. What did I do wrong?

    Great videos. I'm really interested in seeing your injection molding machine and your processes. I'm gearing up to try a DIY build of an injection molding machine next. Thanks.

      So most of these fishing molds is just a soft plastic plunger, sold on any website, just look for Plastisol soft plastic plunger. If I was making a hard plastic injection mold, I was actually going to look at Buster Beagle, see this video. czcams.com/video/HoSVPHVESiE/video.html But all of these are the same molds, so if it was hard plastic, the mold will be very similar.

    First, MANY THANKS for creating the BEST fishing lure mold tutorial that I have found on the internet. You are the man!!!!
    I am retired and played around with Fusion 360 Hobbyist version designing 2D stuff for my personal use on my HAAS TM-1P toolroom mill which has a tool changer. Then came the new hobbyist version of Fusion 360 which crippled my use of the product due to the tool changer utilizing multiple tools among other things. I spent many hours watching videos learning how to use Fusion 360 and was disappointed in their decision to modify the features available in the Hobbyist version of their product.
    I have an interest in making some 3D fishing lure molds for my personal use and really enjoyed watching your video.

      Glad you found it useful! I also had the same issue before, not being able to find videos. I'm planning on doing another video going into adding all the details to the lure, just haven't had the time yet to put it together. Enjoy!

    Great video. Are these settings (speed and feeds/tool path) that you have good for AL? Like 6061-T6?

    • @kazierkreations9382
      @kazierkreations9382  Před 2 lety +1

      No, I just threw some numbers in there, speeds and feeds should be per your bit manufacture. Each bit (like the legit ones, not cheep Chinese ones) should have a speed and feed chart from the manufacture. Try looking at Onsrud and looking at their bits, they have a great wealth of data. Additionally, it matters the rigidity of your machine, if I ran the speeds and feeds from my Mill on my desktop CNC, I can tell you I have broken many a bit on the desktop cnc machine because there is too much flexing and the bit will bend and snap. I think your bringing up a good topic, and maybe my next video I should show my way of calculating speeds and feeds to help the topic.

    I will never understand why the sculpt space is so popular for making lures. Draw you profiles (right and top) add some intersecting profiles and loft it. It’s so much easier to make subtle changes

    • @kazierkreations9382
      @kazierkreations9382  Před 2 lety

      Just a way I found works easier with making the mold and tool path creations, I tried to do things differently, but when it comes to making the inverted mold it's easier with scupled items than lofts, don't know why, but I did have some issues not on video with it, so sculpting space is what I prefer and it feels more artistic than modeling, but great comment! I think I'll try to make a follow up video with that approach.

    My comment is. Can their be something esyear to create something on these kind of 3D machines,that is iv you are a little bit out of nolage to create somthing.or can their be something that you wish and see it as a picture with all it's dimensions,you press on it and the machine will do it for you. As I see it ,you have a holly bible of a program of tools you have to go true to do somthing. The machine's have been created ok.But all this ?Might as well you do a mold and save all this the easy way no expenses at all. But it is still interesting that is it you have the nolage at it, to do it.Thanks.

      Unfortunately this is the way of the 3D model, there is some AI programs I'm sure that will do this and you tweak it, but I'm not familiar.
