Wrong info on deleting. You just need to hold the track key you want to delete for a couple seconds, then it will prompt to confirm. If you hold 1 and then clear together it will prompt you to delete the user (all tracks and acmp) for the user song you have previously selected.
Thank you very much! This is very helpful, but it does reinforce my previously formed opinion that the user interface on this keyboard is not very intuitive. This is one of many times when I know it's possible to do something on it but I can't figure it out without going to a YT video or studying the manual repeatedly. But thank you for deciphering this process!
Your video will help those couldn’t fully use function/ feature of Yamaha keyboard, mainly there wasn’t any tutorial from Yamaha, we have to figure it out by thousands of trial. Very frustrating with Yamaha. I wish I buy Korg Pa600 there are 9 detail tutorial in CZcams since 2016. Thanks for help showing step by step procedure. Please upload more. 🎹🙏👍👏🌹🍷👀
can i while listening to my playback of what i recorded add a track in the middle of my song or near the end? like push pause where i want to enter another sound (track) and then where i pause it click the record button and my track number? or will that completely destroy what was previously recorded ? because sometimes i'm listening to what i recorded and i think oh wait i remember there's a certain instrument sound i forgot to add to that song. So waht i usually do is stop the song so it starts from the beginning then i click the record and then the track i want but then i have to wait till the middle or end of the song so i can fill in the sound that i wanted to add.
Did you found out if its possible ? I was wonderjng myself , especialy for the drums. And if it possible when you press stop to record and record again on same trackt to ad something from the same drum kit. Let say i play drumkick and snare but i want to ad hi hats and perc on the same track from the same kit.

Did you find an answer to this? Repeat A-B kinda works but inserts (really annoying) 1 or 2 measures of metronome before each loop. I could not find a solution for this problem. Same issue seems to be present on multiple Yamaha models.

The E463 is the most recent one. It is better than the E453 excepted if you need the YES (Yamaha Education Suite), which is not on the E463 any more. But the E463 has more styles and DJ patterns (now called “Grooves”) and it can record directly onto an USB stick, which is really convenient. I’d say go for the E463 excepted if you can get the E453 at a heavily discounted price. Also, both the E453 and E453 have 10 DSP, but the E463 can apply the DSP to the backing section (styles or grooves), which the E453 can’t. Cheers.
I can't record anything without it automatically playing a song as soon a s a press a key. I press record then when I press the key I want it immediately starts playing a song. Can someone help??
Nwachukwu Emmanuel the only way to do that is to record your beat in, play it back and whilst it’s playing back use the A=B button on the left to record it and then it will repeat but it will have a gap at the start of each time it repeats whilst the metronome counts it back in. You could turn the metronome sound down but then you’d have a 2 bar silence each time it repeated.
FAHIM UR REHMAN Use Audacity app on your computer or laptop then buy a 6.5mm to 3.5mm cable and record it to your computer then save in any format.. That's what I use

You don't have to delete a track. You just overwrite the track you want and it will warn you..

Brad Travis make sure you press the ‘song’ button before you start recording. The ‘style’ button is usually selected and this makes it play a rhythm
