100%. Dems deserved a true primary with debates. But the Dems have hand picked their candidate for three elections now. As a Dem voter I am furious and have written to my Dem governor, senators and congressman telling this months ago. No reply from anyone. Not even an automated reply.

Far worse than the debate was Joe's wife behavior after it was over. She was cheering him on for just answering all questions. That was really sick. She was treating him as a little boy or a dog. Did she give him a treat for answering all the questions? That just proves that she knows how bad his mental capacity is.

I used to point my finger at the Republicans and ask, "why don't you put the good of your country above your 'team'". Now I see Biden putting himself above the good of the country, Harris putting herself above the good of the country and the Dems putting their 'team' above the good of the country.
Joe Biden has had our backs throughout his presidency and done a damn good job, too. He deserves our support. And, if he doesn't get it, we deserve to get Trump.
I'd prefer Biden to step down soon, citing health concerns. But it has to be his decision. Otherwise it would just split the party and we cant afford infighting this close to the election. I

Biden must immediately and publicly check himself into Walter Reed for evaluation. All test results must be made public as they are generated and Biden must commit to abide by the medical conclusions.
From a neurological perspective, it appears that he is exhibiting signs of dementia. The condition is likely to deteriorate rapidly. I'm a neuroscientist.

There are checks and balances, but they require people who have political courage and put the country ahead of their own interests. The Cabinet can vote to invoke the 25th Amendment. But that isn't going to happen.

I have worked with several memory care residents and my own family through the years. I told my fiance a while back that I think he has Sundown Syndrome. My grandpa has it and we didn't know for a long time. I just assumed my grandma couldn't stop micromanaging him but she was just trying to help. That would explain why sometimes he's on top of it and others he can't form sentences.

That's why any positions "for life" are stupid AF, because such system assume that the person would be resposible, and will put the good of the nation on the first place, not their ego. That's why we need to enforce mandatory retirement age for public servants, so no for example Supreme Court Judge over 75 or whatever, and a maximum age for the second term President. Why is it OK to have a minimum age for presidency (35, which is silly), but no maximum?

I have worked with dementia patients and seniors in general for a few decades, and I believe his brain is fried. It happens to the best of us. Most of us retire in our 60s because it gets harder and harder to do our jobs effectively, either physically or mentally. AT 57 I am struggling at times to do my job physically, I have a chronic illness and have for 10 years, but I plow through. I will vote straight-line Democrat, but it is a struggle because I know in my heart he should not run. There should be term limits for all elected officials because even though they make more money or have a better education than most of us, we all end up with physical or mental declines as the years go by.
Im the definition of independent and all I hear is common sense here. The truth is that having a person that is sincerely mentally in decline as the president is more of a threat to our country than 4 years of Trump. I’m telling how independents are thinking. We have seen Trump already. So the threats of him doing insane things just isn’t something we take seriously. To be clear there are reasons we are not just all for Trump already. But you have to understand where the undecided voters are going to land. It is not complicated or emotional. It’s real simple. And lastly all Biden has to do is take a 3rd party cognitive test. That’s it. So the question is why not? His candidacy is in crisis. It’s the only thing that would immediately clear him. Yet we all know he won’t. And we all know why deep inside. Voting for him over Trump is something that logical people that aren’t emotional and understand will NOT do.

Cognitive tests and IQ tests should be required for all persons running for congress, and the presidency six months prior to election. In addition, the members of the supreme court should take these tests at their time of nomination and then every 4 years after being appointed. There should be a minimum standards set to be in office. We the people deserve this.
