Have you tried this type of baked salmon before? 🐟
Yes
No I’ve never cooked because I’m a kid :/
I have not but I definitely would try it
No, I hate fish :(
No I’m vegetarian
I actually liked just as much if not more than your regular videos. Sometimes it's just nice to see regular people making a relaxed meal.
Its relaxing
Exactly
Agreed
True
I agree it’s kind of nice to see she does things pretty normally like she had to move things to the other side of the sink 😅 full drawers organizing as she goes I’m
Nothing has to look perfect just taste delicious. Don’t have to worry about aesthetics
If shit was good would u eat it
Yess what matters is the inside not the outside
well presentation is also key
The way Doug said 'Broccoli' in such a cute way😭 btw loved this video I wld really want more of these long videos!!
I thought I was the only one noticed that
and how she called him dougie 😭💖💖
Sometimes it’s nice to just unwind and just cook for the love of cooking and I’m happy you don’t lose sight of that 💛
I enjoyed seeing this side of you. It's satisfying to watch someone's ease and familiarity in their kitchen
As an Indian, i can't believe how quick and simple this entire meal was. Like- the time it would take to make all of this is unreal!
breath of fresh air to recieve longer content!
You, settling into your chair & smiling, knowing you made something ‘ono, is every home cook feeling satisfied with what they made. 👍🏻🖤
I loved this “real” video in so many ways, girl! Oh- you know you are filipino if…. You serve a meal with a spoon and a fork, using the spoon as a double utensil: spoon/knife! I remember years ago some of my “puti” friends laughing (in a nice way) when they saw my family and I eat adobo and cut into the chicken with our spoons in the same manner as a knife 😂 😋
I love this type of videos, please make more of these!😊 It’s refreshing to see these actual dinner recipes that we can whip up relatively quickly.
Does doug ever cook a special meal that you love him to make? I'd like to see doug prepare a meal for you ☺️
The way Doug went “broccoli:D” was just perfect
Fun broccoli fact: you can cook broccoli on the stove with only a little water in the bottom of the pan. Just put a lid on and steam it until bright green and tender. You don't need a whole pan of water to blanche or a fancy steamer! This also works for other veggies.
Yuuummmmm! And definitely like this style of video sooo much more. It feels more relatable and gives the feeling of achievable healthy meals with amazing flavor tips 💫
Post more of these kind of long videos ...loved it
I have never been so relaxed while watching someone cooking dinner. It felt like I was there 😅
I really enjoyed this video, it felt very natural and real along with giving a little insight into your routine! I would love to see more like this!
This is such a mood. I use my hips, foot and hands while cooking too. It makes it a lot easier to multitask. U can get as much preparation in a short time. Thank u for showing us!
I really liked this change of pace, it felt way more relaxed and like we were at your house and you were making dinner for us! I would like a behind the scenes of what it looks like when your shooting a cooking video looks like! (if Doug is up for it lol.)
This was wonderful to see. And I was going to suggest cooking videos or what you eat in a day at home videos, because I've been curious. It was perfect!!. Thank you 💜
Really love this video it is comforting
I enjoyed this video, its great to see how you go about with your cooking looking relaxed.
I really love the relationship between u two, It seems real and not faked unlike some youtubers plus u both are so cute and funny! Always enjoy watching ur vids jeanelle
i super appreciate this.
also the kitchen is so organized!
I love this style of filming!
So happy to see a long video!
You and Lisa are such great creators love you guys
This meal looks delicious and so colourful! The only thing is I prob would have put the broccoli on last so it was still warm by the time I sat down to eat. I hate cold vegetables with a hot meal.
I agree. That's exactly what I was thinking. I would have started with the salmon and made the rice, broccoli and sauce while it baked in the oven.
Man I might be part of the outliers then cause I’m completely fine with lukewarm veg
@@cindy-mai same I prefer veggies not as hot as well, even cold is pretty good
I like this vlog style!
It's so cool watching u cook without all the cuts, the cuts here are just right to keep the viewer watching without getting bored, btw luv the bun!! Haha How'd u bun ur hair that way?
Uncut version would be great! Also it’s really nice to see you making something that is a little bit more relatable. Don’t get me wrong though I still adore all of your other videos!
I love the measurements Doug uses
How did you keep your brocoli warm while you cooked the rest of the meal
Everything looked amazing love this type of video x
There’s multiple of ways, usually I just time it based on everything else (like if the rice takes 25 minutes, and the broccoli takes 10 minutes to steam, I wait till the rice is 15 minutes in to start doing broccoli). Other option are: covering with aluminum foil, set the oven to low and put it in a pan, or do a quick microwave.
This was relaxing to watch 💜
Please make more of these videos! I am going to make this one tomorrow ☺️
Love ur kitchen
I like these types of video a lot!! A lot more realistic and doable for us consumers
Great idea for a video, love it! Everything looks delicious ❤
The salmon looks sooo good! hahah also so relateable when you kicked to close the lower sliding cabinet 🤣
Please make more videos like this one!
Looks so good! Also, this is a tip that you can try for your broccoli if you want to try something new and easy. Add butter to your broccoli after you cook it. You can add as much or as little as you want. It is creamy and so so good!
This is somehow v relaxing
My favourite cooking tip for cooking vegetables, is that if you want to blanch or steam veg, it's so much more efficient to do it in the microwave. Just rinse, cover, and microwave for a few minutes! You save on water, gas/electricity, and time waiting for the water to get to temperature. You also lose fewer nutrients to the water that's drained away. =)
I love your video!! Thank you again for sharing :) will try it soon… subscribed to your channel ❤️
Please do an uncut version!!! 😁😁💓💓
I really loved this video! I feels like I got to to know you better
Yes! Uncut version!!!
real-time hang in the kitchen with Dougyyy and Jeanell 😇❤️ Welcome home guys
Love seeing the realistic!!!
The hot water hack! I love it!
You are amazing! 😍
I’m gonna try this kind of baked salmon next time! Looks delicious 🤤
My man said half a fist more and then said put it back 😂
My go-to easy dinner is always rice, salmon, and broccoli😋 super easy and delicious, my daughters have loved it ever since they started eating solid food as babies
Love the footwork
You should really make a separate channel where you do short cooking vlogs, Jeanelle. My dad always wants me to cook filipino food so I could learn more about our culture, but I was never interested in the way they show it on youtube channels. But if you made one, I definitely learn how!
Its so funny to see you do exactly what I do in my home kitchen! the boiling water, asking the vegetable, pushing the fridge drawer with my foot… that looks delicious by the way
Pls do a video on preparing this purple rice
That looks delicious!
Would love the recipe for the salmon it looks so good🥰😊
"Here u go daddy" cutest couple ever💜
I don’t really like to cook but I am a huge foodie and it was so interesting watching you cook .....and also the food looked delicious
Can you share the recipe for the salmon? Also, any other salmon recipes would be wonderful!
I would love more of these, if you’re comfortable with it!
You're a smart cook. I love seeing you guys in this uncut version!
your bun looks like a heart
Tweaking this recipe by adding sinigang powder to the mayo makes it super good!
I use that same colander to steam my veggies in 👍🏾 works perfectly
Salmon, broccoli and rice is a staple quick meal in my house too!
Yum!
Her: “Do you want broccoli or green beans?
Him: “Broccoli!”
Her: *horrible decision why did I even ask him?*
Doug is one lucky guy
d'aww you called him "mahal" 🥺🥺
thats the pet name i use for my s.o. too
I feel like we all have that pot that you blanched the broccoli in 😂 I use to make my ramen in there
"youre gonna eat this whole thing?" 😂😂😂
Ngl I srly wanna see some uncut versions of you cooking
Exactlyyyy haha me too 🥺😂
The best thing about this video is jeanelle's bun which looks like a heart from the front and also look like a fish if you count her head with it
I wanted to get with it, but I don’t like wasabi. I make an excellent Mayo chicken dinner you could try.
1 can Campbell’s roasted garlic cream soup
1 can of water
1 1/2 cup of Mayo
Pink salt
Paprika
Pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Sugar
1. Mix all of these ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Pour the mixture over 10-12 pieces of chicken (I use drumsticks)
3. Sprinkle more paprika on top
4. Bake on 375 for about an hour, flip the chicken over & bake for 30 more minutes
The chicken should be flakey tender!
i love how causal this is and how it isn’t 100% focused on the food
UNCUT 🤩
unrelated but your kitchen is so pretty and looks so cozy!
I want to learn how like you so bad. Your food looks really good
You guys are so cute! 😩
yum! whats the green sauce with the mayo?
What was that green ingredient that you mixed in with the kewpie mayo? I really want to try this recipe 🤗
Supposedly wasabi but in reality it is just horseradish mixed with green food coloring.
I wanna see the uncut version idk why but I wanna
We all close the bottom fridge drawer by feet, don't we?🤣🤣🤣
Q: As a Filipina, how did you adapt with the American lifestyle?
Many Filipinos dream to go abroad and live there, curiosity and amazement filled us. The high tech, the better places, and new items that we don't typically see in our local grocery stores, so is the abroad life worth it?
Yeah! I am curious too! I'm a Filipino btw
I think I can answer this question since I moved here when I was 18 to go to university. From a social standpoint, it was hard at first because I didn’t know anyone except for a few relatives and acquaintances through school. You just kinda latch on to those relationships and go from there. Fortunately for me, my best friend is a social butterfly so I met more people through her!
To be honest, if you don’t have money or make good money, life is challenging in the US. People are one big life event away from becoming homeless, so don’t be blinded by the glitz and glamour social media feeds you. It’s all fake lol. So to answer your question, life abroad is not worth it. Visit but stay only if you can afford it. 🤷🏻♀️
I think she only spent a bit of her childhood in the Philippines, the rest of her life she has lived in the US. So it was probably not too hard to adapt since she was quite young when she moved
How I make food when I’m not filming...films herself
awesome video..your hair is super cute like that, too
Did anyone notice her hair bun was in a heart shape 🥺💖
What are those green things you put on the salmon? I want to try it out. :D
I have that same exact bowl in 3:00, I’m not kidding you-
Ang sarap po. Pde po ung unedited pra mahaba. Hehe
Hi, what was the green stuff you mixed with the Mayo? Thanks
I almost do the same thing with the water heater and put the water in the pot. I will try to put in the hot water heater with some room temperature water too and see what happens.
Such a good woman.
A way to a man's heart you know?☺️
I swear if u get the metal steamer u put inside ur pot to steam ur broccoli it's easier and way better. It like 5 bucks and u can steam every kind of veggies u want
