Just a quick note at around 9:50, he encounters the bug that the items that are popped of by superfan do not return to his item bench. He even dismisses Superfan for a second to try to retrieve the TG, but when it appeared the fight was already going and he had to put it on kaisa
Edit: 20:10 I think Lucian is 3rd row because he rolled tank items and MF is basically a martyr bot so by placing her 3rd row he increases the chances of his carries profiting off of MFs martyr.
The items do return its just extremely slow and sometimes they come back invisible, usually if you shift components around it will 'reveal' an invisible item. Its why people consider the 'super fan tech' to be best used leading into a pve round due to the potential self greifing
Apparently when the superfan items pop off, they spawn at the edge of the map and slowly fly to your board. If you've ever seen random items fly across your board, they're going to someone who just popped their items off.
Good example of not being afraid to roll on 8 and improve that front line.
I'm the opposite, I start building my frontline early so Im not picking up "scraps" at 7/8

heck, I just got out of a game where I perfectly curated my 8-bit board (after scounting properly), only for someone to hit 8-bit Cait at 4-1 and ruin my comp.

What do you mean with "vertical" guardian and sentinel at 2:05 ?
Vertical just means playing more of a trait, whereas horizontal means playing a bunch of different traits. So 6 sentinel is vertical sentinel but 2 sentinel, 2 guardian, 2 bruiser would be more horizontal

Hi just curious for the reasoning at 6-1 could he have swapped out cait for ez big shot choosen would that not have been a stronger board ? Timestamp is about 20:20
its only +8% ad from 2 big shot to 4 big shot and he would have lost 2 traits, losing jazz value + caits 8-bit was almost fully stacked at that point so thats +45% ad on her he would be losing
hey bro love the videos they help me out alot! i just started playing tft in set 10 and hit plat pretty quick but have been hard stuck for 2-3 weeks any tips on tryiung to get over this hump and into the next rank? also how i typically play is strongest board early game hold sentis all game go 4-2 and roll for ahri or blits senti headliner
maybe being more flexible esp if other people in the lobby high roll the ahri, be more familiar with other viable comps. maybe also experiment with more augments and not rely on what is statistically the strongest but preferably what fits your board well or future boards. don’t commit to a comp too early!
What previous games have u practiced? Do you have any prior experience with competitive ranked strategy games?

@@winsonkosman9822 i think open fort strat is decent for slow hands like us when we get player health increase portal or tiny titans augment on 2-1. My slow brain for just put any units to make a good comp didnt really help either. 🤪

Wasn't a fan of this review in particular, basically this game was only playable because he won the open fort coinflip on 2-5 (which caused the other open fort player to go 7th) and then when it came down to the end game, he won from pure shop luck in what was otherwise a 2nd place. He greeded the jazz spat for cap, was rewarded with an Illaoi 2 anyways from a single shop roll, and then the next round he hits Yorick 2 after a single shop roll.
Give that kind of luck to any of the top 100 ladder players, and they're going to be rank 1 too. That is why players like this can go into an event like Vegas and get day 1'd.

Agree with the first bit, that was lucky but the 2nd bit is just complaining for the sake of complaining. He was already top 4 by then and every 1st board requires some kind of high roll.
that just how tft work sadly. That's why no one will ever win world final twice because despite how good you are you will never be good enough to beat the game core mechanic which is RNG

@@ZhenJi88 Yeah that's true but most people don't hit Heartsteel in Stage 2 and even if they do it's 6g v 4g cashout. Heartsteel is most effective in Stage 4 with the multiplier and HS5/HS7. But you're right; it's about the same as an extra Spoils of War proc.

Have you played tft before this? Open fort has always been a viable choice when streaks are important (pretty sure streaks have existed since set 1)

@@victortran2962 my diamond lobbies always have 2 people duking it out for the lost streak, no units. Why is that even a strat that can perform well? Feels cheap considering you are doing absolutely nothing for a stage. Not to mention you get cucked by a 50/50
@@jordanhodges3529 wym, you're reverse streaking lmfao. of course it's going to do well lmfao. You're gaining gold in trade of your HP. Just because you lose around 30-40 HP in the early game, doesn't mean you lose the game. You send it on 3-2 with the excess gold you have since you haven't rolled at all nor gotten any upgrades throughout the whole game then you streak stage 3. Then on 4-2 you should have about 60-70 gold to roll on level 8 (40 to level 30 to roll) and you should be stable there with a frontline or backline chosen. You're maximizing your gold with as much or little you have. The only problem with lose streaking early is that for 1. .You can't lose stage 3 and if you lose too much without streaking you're fucked but this happens if you didn't stabalize on 3-2 or if someoen rolls to 0 which is like 1/10. 2. you're just low hp. So you can't make as much mistakes end game but you have a shit ton of gold to pop off. People generally lose a lot of HP mid game so you'll be back at top 4 with gold. that's why it works. It's broken. On top of that you get carousel prio which is either good TD spats or bis items for ahri/ad flex. Matter fact it's just bis items for anybody. You can get a free GA on jax or whichever comp you want to play. then winout

"can" is not 100% it probably depents on crit rng so nah not 100% is basically 0%
