@@gordontaylor2815 If it looked like a big white plate, it's their shed, not their house. I thought it was the house at first too. You could be right and I missed it though.
There is a brand new invention! It’s called a Helicopter! Try outfitting a military helicopter with something that can pick up the dead trees! Try anything! Anything is better than nothing!
I feel bad for the people down stream but nature should have been left alone. Everything that man thinks he can control or change ends up loosing to nature. We are supposed to live in harmony with nature not try and tame it
They absolutely could save that house if they wanted to if the county would just make the effort or the owners of the damn that have caused the catastrophe would just make the effort to save the home they could just by dumping in large rocks right there on the end of that road to keep it from eroding anymore why don't they just do that they would if the homeowner paid for it themselves but our tax dollars are not to help the people they are just to help big business that's what we pay taxes for is to give rich people more money don't you people know that that's what democracy means
“Pray that it doesn’t take the dam store.”
Love that name.
100 year old dam, America's crumbling infrastructure.
In this case it has nothing to do with the dam being old, it's too much water period.
@@redbarchetta8782 Correct. The water did not burst through the dam, the volume was so great it went around it on the west side.
ESPN warned us during Minnesota Timberwolves game last month "The Dam just Broke" on a slam dunk call Ironic
I'll probably go out and eat at the dam store if it survives, because these people will have to build a new house... man it just sucks
Well just rebuild that damn store if it does!
Even clogged the water is raging through the dam gates. Are we sure an unclogged dam wouldn't have resulted in the same fate?

So sad
$1 trillion infrastructure bill in 2021. I wonder how much of that went into maintaining and up grading this dam ... ?
More than 2017-2020 combined I absolutely guarantee. Took a wide-awake White House to do it.
Why can't the logs be pulled out by a crane?
Well that picture is old you can see under the house with part of the foundation gone. I feel so bad for that family.
I think I saw a Short on the AccuWeather channel with the house already being washed away by the river...

So So Sad , Pray Peace to the Family, and You have Help To Rebuild , If The house goes ..
Poor planning, no reinforcement of the spill way. Is it an old structure?

Why they don't clean this openings on dam and let water flow through it instead around.
How do you intend to get heavy machinery near a rapidly moving flooded river.....the banks are actively collapsing...
Normal weather for this time of year. stealing money collected to maintain this dam is the reason it is failing.

I don’t think you understand the massive power of water…
Risk assessment bro. It's clearly not worth it.
who runs the dams it rains you drain the dam ... rain comes close the dam . we have a dam the guy , the guy die . the dam is gone . now we have floods
