While I’m sure this product has problems, part of the reason also appears to be the fact that you don’t know how to use it. Your wondering why it’s casting spells while your just sitting there, but in reality, you have all the contact points while simultaneously waving it around, of course it’s going to interpret that as a spell.
@@FungalFlagellum Yea. I think there are valid points in it, like the quality of the wand seems to be subpar compared to the interactive wands and the wands from the noble collection, that’s the main reason why I’m hesitant to buy one. The limited edition Heroic wand also didn’t go on for that long, I really wanted one since it seemed to be the better made product.
For those that do not know, inside the top box cover is a pull tab, pull it open and there is your charging cable for your wand box. Might want to keep it plugged in, the wand dies quickly. Have a good day!
It won’t charge unless the box is plugged in. It will show a lightning bolt when it’s charging and the circle segments will light based on how full it is.
The green light at the top on app shows full circle when charged, when it turns blue it needs to charge, it will turns red when and the circle will start reducing, like 3/4, 1/2, etc. when it is almost run down
The wand itself is alright. I do wish the quality was better. The wand charges just fine in the box and I haven't had any issues. It works well with the app. It's better on an IPad than just a phone. The grip can be tricky if you have small hands like my gf. For me I don't have an issues getting the censors to work. I really wish the wand hand more interactive features with smart lights for the price tag.
It definitely glows in the box while charging you see the lights light up like a battery charging up the wand. If you have a blister you’re holding way to tight 🤣, if it’s not activating you are holding it in the wrong spot also . The charged “icon in the app” is the circle that you are looking at the top of the app.
God it’s like this dude has never even used the thing before making a review/update lol I bought this and immediately returned it because of how garbage it is. I have all hue light bulbs in my house, and it wouldn’t connect or work at all. And even if it DID work, you can only control 3 hue bulbs at a time. A ceiling fan has 4 bulbs, so you can’t even control 1 room with it. Besides casting spells on the app, the wand is absolutely useless. If you’re considering buying it, DONT. It’s overpriced, cheaply made, terrible speaker, and feels like it’ll break if you touch it too much. The speaker quality shown in the vid is a good summary of the quality of this product.
One of my biggest issues is that I still can’t get my wand to light up when I’m holding it like I will be holding it it the activation spots and still nothing
The contact point issue could be a connection issue rather than the contact points themselves. If each point individually sends out a signal and one can't it would make sense especially as it would need to to be able to activate each dot.
i really wish i would’ve seen this video before i bought mine. The wand is bad quality. it’s plastic and you can see the little plastic line. the app itself is alright but the bluetooth on the wand is weird, it fired up the sensors and it messes up the spell casting and makes it hard to do anything with the wand in general
I noticed when watching the video that the app would say something like charge wand a few times. Maybe that could be why it kept disconnecting, just a thought
how did u get lumos maxima to work? ive completely mastered lumos but lumos maxima, ive tried on both my phone and my ipad and not even once did i get it right ? ive tried every which way
FYI, while it says Phillips Hue lights, what it really means is you need a Phillips Hue Hub and lights. We had just a Hue lightbulb hooked to an Alexa already but we had to go out and purchase a Hue Hub in order to connect it to the app.
My daughter got one for Christmas, it played its music, she connected it got it all set up and then never activated again, she charged both fully and still nothing at all. Got in touch with customer service, which is on line only, and they said they trouble shot it and would be in touch, and nothing, at all. I've messaged them over and over and over, nothing. If anyone buys this, know that if you get a dud, as we did, you are not getting an exchange or refund of any kind.
Anyone else having problems with iPhone and hue lights? Lights say connected in the app but spells have no effect on the lights at all. Wand is connected and calibrated correctly. Spells are completed correctly but lights do not respond.
Yep. Their support couldn’t get the issue since day 1 (before Christmas) and they just sent me an email offering to return this one and get a new wand. As if it’s gonna help
@@nikitamalik4262 it’s ridiculous. I’m also returning mine now. I been in contact with the online help 3 times and they won’t acknowledge it’s a known problem
It’s a very harsh sound. I have one as well and it’s like if someone was playing that mosquito noise but really loud next to your ear while you were watching the opening to Harry Potter with a blown out speaker system. 🙉
I find it unfortunate that it needs to be connected to a phone in order to work. I thought it was going to be similar to the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver remote by The Wand Company, just not controlling a TV.
I got the defiant. It is lots of fun, but I also have my issues. You’re right I think they did put a new update and it is way too sensitive. Now I have to let go of my whole hand from the wand. And also the more I use it I’ve rubbed off probably 50% of the paint that was quickly smeared on there. It just shows how bad the manufacturing was and how much they need to either improve or lower the price. It’s so sad to know that this could’ve been such an amazing product.
I agree. I returned mine because of how cheap it was. It doesn’t even work with the light bulbs, and if you do get it to work you can only control THREE bulbs!! What use is that??? I got my $163 back. This product isn’t worth more than $40 in my opinion. I was pretty disappointed when I set it up/played with it. It seems like they’re being trained to avoid returns, so I’m assuming a lot of people are returning them. I had to go back and forth with them before they agreed to give me a refund. They kept trying to get me to trouble shoot instead of returning it.
This wand was trash, it had a very loose plastic feel, when placing the wand back into the box and closing the box it doesn’t close completely. I updated my iPhone and reset my local network and could not get the wand to function properly, when trying to cast spells it only showed swigs and swirls all over the app. This was something I returned and got a refund. If nothing worked I would like for the wand to atleast have more weight and be at least real wood. But this is definitely a no go, this wand should be in the fisher price area of Walmart for 20 bucks. Just my opinion. This was just not a good product and I’m being nice.
I got the honorable one and returned it immediately. I was incredibly disappointed with how lightweight, thin and poorly painted it was. You could see were the plastic seams lined up and it looked as if they were coming apart from being misaligned and the paint job was absolutely horrid. The speaker on the box sounds blown out too. They used the cheapest materials possible to do it and charged as much as they could, I have collected a ton from the parks and noble collection and even a few knock off ones off wish that are far superior due to the correct weight when holding it, sturdiness and the paint jobs. Total money grab imo unless they link up to the upcoming game in some way to allow use through gameplay it’s basically the remote control wand just on your phone now.
I just received my Defiant wand yesterday and I thought I was being a snob about how poor quality it is. It’s waaaay too light and has no hand feel. I’m probably sending mine back.
@@MrRickle that’s what I did 🤷♂️ maybe the next model they do will be much better. I like the idea but the quality is horrible, especially for kids. A child would break it sooo easily
I, too, got the Honourable wand and have the same exact gripes you do - the extremely light weight of it, the cheap plastic, the visible seams that make it look like it’s about to split open at any second. I purchased it when it was in pre-sale so was one of the first to get it, but just like a lot of the stuff I order, I never open it when I get it. I finally opened the package November of last year (2023 - so I’ve had it in its sealed box in my closet for over a year) so I could have it for a Harry Potter exhibit I went to. When I was setting it up, that’s when I noticed how incredibly bad it was. And because I opened the package for the first time a year after I got it, I’m way past the return date to get a refund. So I’m stuck with this piece of junk. I’m really trying to find someone who can super glue the seams shut and then paint over it to match the wand.
I’m just mad about the amount of spells cause I finished and now it’s done cause even the dual I’d dumb it tells u what spells to cast but u did like it while I did spells
Also try and connect it to another device and recalibrate it . Seems to me an issue you’re having , my wife’s had the same problem , we swapped wands and devices and then back , and both work perfect now. 👍🏻

Well I’ve had one for Christmas, only been using it for a few hours and it’s obvious to me that you’ve not learnt to use it properly. I don’t know whether you’ve watched the tutorials but you’re not even holding it in the right place lol. I have the honourable wand too and you’re not supposed to grip the knobbly bits at all, the sensors are at the top of the handle just under them. You wrap your fire finger around the handle then place your thumb down when you want to cast, and release it after. You only have to touch it lightly and there’s certainly no need for blisters! 😂🤷🏻♂️
the wands 4 lights that keep blinking until it's solid all lit means it's charged but the box lid has to be off. handle light is up to 25% half the wand is 50% etc. Though the wand I got fails to fully charge. Overall the app is trash and the wand is a cheap low quality cash grab.

I watched this review and have to say 99% of your problems were self inflicted. 1. Your device was almost dead, it doesn't work properly when it needs to be charged. Even in the app it told you at the top to charge it. 2. The box went off because your wand was dead when you docked it and it recharged and went back to start up. 3 You're waving the wand around at the same time as you start to grip it. You need to grip, then let it light up, then go. About 2 seconds in-between. Seems like you're just being a bit impatient with it. I bought one for my daughter for Christmas and tested it to make sure all was good and it works beautifully.

@@TechinfluenceTV never said it wasn’t.. but you had to revise statements you had made lol. It seems like you just made the video in the moment. I’m just saying it could’ve been a little more clean.
Seems like over priced plastic crap. Bluetooth, an accelerometer and some LED’s wrapped into the cheapest painted plastic they could find. Disappointing to say the very least.
@@TechinfluenceTV I guess I sounded like I was being a dick. Was more playing devil's advocate cause that's what a company will say if you tell them that. They should've made it from wood and resin. Especially with the pricetag
Actually an update can change hardware functionality. It like how on the Nintendo switch the have updates for the controllers themselves. Also as a tech person I know you can update hardware with updates. Like it could change the coding in the wand to change how much pressure is needed for it to recognize that you are touching all the sensors. I have a large computer, live event lighting both tech design and programming background for reference
Sorry, but It is a crap wand. The one from Universal is better made and is more than 1/2 the price. It is flimsy and poorly made, and yes its could be made better. Construction wise it is just resin, led, battery and charger, plus a plus micro sensor chip. We haven't even begun with the app yet..... This is just a very expensive paper weight. Seems WBros troubled extends far beyond their movies, disappointing movies, and we are most likely not even getting Hogwart's Legacy now too.
I beta tested this wand and reported some of the frustrations you had with the product. I'm afraid it was too far along for them to fix many of the issues. I think the product is kind of awful, to be honest. Would definitely recommend anyone stay away from it.
I just got this as a present from my girlfriend/newly fiancée (I proposed the day after Christmas leave a thumbs up if you wish as congrats) and for me aside from cosmetics I love this thing the weight might throw some people off but as someone who modifies 90% of what he buys I plan on repainting this or a second second one as the box advertised and adding some kind of light weight to it haven’t came up with anything yet but I’ll figure something out as for interactive activity 8/10 I want to not have to re open and reconnect and hopefully updates over time might help that but aside from that I’ve low battery makes the wand useless understandable but it’s all very fun I really wished I had this as a kid when me and my friends pretended we were in Hogwarts and all we had were either replicas or sticks from trees so I hope this generation is able to have fun with these as an adult who got this from a fiancée I intend to have a lot of fun with this and be patient with progress I’m sure other things will be fixed over time spell wise colora is my favorite lol

Your kid is 3 it says 8-100 age which is fine it’s your product but if they can’t use it properly then get them a tutorial cause your bad at this and know nothing about this product
I have a 12 and 10 and 8 year old too and they were having trouble. It’s a bad product
The way you kept getting things wrong im not sure you know how to operate it lol.
Dude you rust slandering this you literally don’t know how to use it and of course it’s going to break on the hands of kids when your waving it around the wrong side you know the lightest side of the wand actually use it for yourself I didn’t have any problems with mine
Seems to me like you dont know what youre doing. Maybe edit your video
same issues for me. I reached out to support to try to return it over a week ago but I haven't gotten a response yet...edit: update I got a reply and I got the return label.
I got "no reps are available right now" on chat
I’m asking my mom and dad to get me one😊
Lol you did ZERO research before making this video… and you owned it for a week. 😅
And it’s a bad product. Next
@@TechinfluenceTV never said it wasn’t.. but you had to revise statements you had made lol. It seems like you just made the video in the moment. I’m just saying it could’ve been a little more clean.
ur eyes look like Proffesor Trealwany's
Seems like over priced plastic crap. Bluetooth, an accelerometer and some LED’s wrapped into the cheapest painted plastic they could find. Disappointing to say the very least.
I’m gunna go ahead and guess your a Hufflepuff
An update isn't going to change the sensors in the wand.... Updates to software don't really affect hardware
And a kid getting ahold of it and grabbing the wrong end isn't really normal use
It’s so brittle.
@@TechinfluenceTV I guess I sounded like I was being a dick. Was more playing devil's advocate cause that's what a company will say if you tell them that. They should've made it from wood and resin. Especially with the pricetag
No worries. No harm no foul. Thanks for watching
It broke beacause the wand choose you not your your kid❤❤❤
i hope there comes an update soon bc i realy want it but i saw this and i didnt buy it yet
Yea this product is a hard pass for me.
This just sounds like someone looking for fame by complaining instead of actually learning to use it.
Seems WBros troubled extends far beyond their movies, disappointing movies, and we are most likely not even getting Hogwart's Legacy now too.
it seems like you have no idea what you are talking about
bro you don't even know what you are talking about
Ohhh, I know what your problem is!!!
Your using an iphone!!!! hahahaha!
Do your research. You really don’t understand how to use the product
This product not recommended for left handed snowflakes.
skill issue
Weow, whaaht a great review... just watching some adult whine for 13 minutes
Man… I can’t believe you watched that video before posting it…. This is sooooooo bad…
Like …. Poor quality content… I’m sorry but it’s painful to watch
Lol u probs wasted ur money on this trash wand and ur pressed
Woah this guy just complains about everything huh
No I just complain about bad products. I do say some nice things in the middle of the video
@@TechinfluenceTV after owning the wand for a few days, I ran into similar issues with the sensitivity on the touch sensors, you have to fully charge it and the issues are fixed, maybe do that and give it a fair review buddy 👍
