How do you all feel about paid packs, and account-wide multiplier bonuses?
I think the bonuses should be limited to things you could otherwise get in the game no problem. Like the recent Sacred Methods pack is okay since you can get all those levels yourself and later in the game it won't matter as much. (if you have 10000 bubble level in something, 10 more a day is not a big deal) The only thing I have issues with is for things like the pets where the only way to get them is to pay real money or, in Doot's case, spend 4 years of real life time not missing a single pull to guarantee his drop.
it was all good before Lava dropped the newest pack with the no stamp left behind bonus, bubble and meal lvls and also the 1.2x dr pack.If Lava never released those 2 packs he wouldnt have gained thousands of dollars but the game wouldve staid at least a bit fair
i was fine if they were bonuses you could get and the packs just boosted them. like the xp and drop rate etc. was fine but when hes introducing new mechanics like stamp levels which are purely p2w that just feels bad
honestly im okay with the packs until NSLB which is paywalled
@@jetsonone1I heard you need to pay the pet gems for the last pull or else it continues randomly so after 4 years of waiting you still need to buy 5€ or keep hoping for the 1% chance

Paying for the packs is just playing easy baby mode
Playing this game since pretty much it got released. I bought every pack because for me it,s worth it. The only thing I´m not willing to spend money on is Doot. It´s just too much money for the probability, would be easily 300 euros, nope that´s way overboard

I think at some point later on the only progression you get is lategame and leaderboard progression and I think right at that point many people get convinced to buy everything right away but thankfully lava doesn’t abuse it to the extreme and just releases a new account wide pack every few months if not less
Yes, absolutely. People tend to get lost in the "I have to be #1", I am no exception to this thinking, but it's very toxic and detrimental to anyone's relationship to video games. I wanted to create this video to put forth the idea that you don't NEED these packs to be good at the game.
I personally feel like Companions were bad, but mostly on a mechanical level. Every other mechanic communicates how it feels just fine, but Breeding already existed, and what companions are is, ultimately, a free Alchemy bubble. Lava admitted recently to being burnt out, so I don’t feel like totally going off on him for lazy game design, but nothing should look like that mechanic ever again.
I'm pro paid packs, it's a free game and Lava needs to keep the lights on somehow. What I am massively against is paywalling things that are more or less necessary to play like autoloot(especially since he said it would be added for free later when it came out years ago) and things that you can't grind out in game like the new sacred methods pack(free stamps you can't get anywhere else) or Doot. These two are bar none the most OP buffs in the game.
Idk about the fomo in idleon. All I know is that its not a run, It's a marathon. And numbers.

I like the paid packs tbh, they give us QOL stuff that helps continue to progress our accounts.
I think theres 2 important things that should be thought of for these packs lava brings out.
Not everyone can play this game activity 8+ hours every single day and this is a free game that lava spends a lot of time working on by himself to bring out new content on a decently quick schedule. With the amount of time he puts in we shouldnt expect him to do it for free otherwise he wont want to continue putting in the work he has been
If he doesnt continue to bring out packs that actually incentives people to buy them, he wont make any money. I feel like a majority of players are at a point where just buying packs for gems doesnt really cut it anymore
I would much rather him continue to bring out packs like this than have him release the next content update in 5 years or never at all
only problem i have with the packs is the companion pets. (not really a pack but you have to pay for the pet coins.) quick example : i have 146 pulls before guaranteed doot. if i where to buy them that would be 250 x 166 = 41500 coins. you get 4100 fo 50 bucks. so that would be 500 bucks to guaranteed have him. or wait 166 weeks without missing one. (or 3.2 years) thats frustrating.
Even if you get to 200 pulls as F2P, 200th pull isn't guaranted Doot. You actually need to spend green gems to get that guaranted Doot.
Some packs are ok, door is just insane I aint paying that much for a chance
That blood sucking leech of a lava is getting 5 bucks from me for the auto loot and that is all.
i still hate doot cuz i dont have it, but I got over it :/ also its gacha which sucks, if it was 30$ I would get it
This game was great went companions didnt exist. I'm practically a day 1 player and see how Lava is destroying his own game day by day since w4 just because his greed is horrible. I loved this game I really did, there was something magical about it, I even wanted to be a part of the proyect anyway possible... (I'm an autist person and this game become my special interest I would've even work for free just to be part of this game, but now is hopeless, I'm just here waiting for his soon ending sadly)
Beeing honest: i dont mnow what FOMO is hahaha. But idleon is an indie game and need to have some way to get revenue. The problem is when u whale your way in, and fuck up your finances.
