Fun fact: Ric Flair and Lex Luger actually never wrestled at the same time in the WWF, since Flair left after the 1993 Royal Rumble which was also when Lex Luger made his WWF debut as a wrestler.
This game holds so many great memories with me, both in my teenage years when I was still big into wrestling and memories in my adult years when I got to meet so many of the wrestlers in this game. The Macho Man, God rest his soul, was the first wrestler I ever met in person, and as I've told everyone I've recounted the experience to, the one thing I will always remember about him is that he was in character the whole time even though it wasn't at a wrestling match.
Completely agree of with you, definitely one of the best wrestling games I've ever played. I actually just order a copy off of eBay and can't wait to play it again on my Genesis.
@ausdude86 He used the kick ocassionally when he was with the Rockers, Marty Jannetty used it too. When he went solo he used the "side supplex' on his opponents. Look up Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart Survivor Series 1992, he used it on Bret Hart for the Championship but fell to the Sharpshooter. This move was in his move list on Legends of Wrestlemania as homage to the good ol' days.
I remember I had everyone’s finishing move except lex lugar trying to figure it out for weeks, then finally by fluke I got it lol missed these days man
Luger's was the one move on the SNES that you could whiff on. But Luger still flexed even after missing the move. Also, if you tried to do the Razor's Edge too close to the ropes, it would botch it. The opponent and Razor both fell down.
I loved the days when these seemed like legit finishers that could end a match. Old school wrestling had a greater emphasis on match pacing and storytelling rather than high flying and spots. I remember laughing at how bad Hacksaw's finisher was. It's just him running into his opponent but the IRS clothesline looks sick. That one was my favorite to pull off besides the top rope moves. Can't remember any other wrestler who used the Samoan drop as a finisher, but Tatanka's finisher is one of the best looking in the game, and especially rewarding as you only had a limited time to pull it off.
Great video. Loved this game as a kid. Bought it when I was 11 years old in 1993. Recently started making videos on my channel for Royal Rumble and WWF Raw.
I had this game I remeber never being able to see Jim Dougen special move until on day same scenario here. Once you lose the royal rumble you have to watch the computer play , jim finally choke Hogan I was like omg this is it Hogan was by the ropes jim charged him and Hogan woke up and hip toss jim out the ring. All I heard was blaaaaaggh!
This is the Royal Rumble game I know, I saw another video of finishers on the snes version theres other wrestlers in it and Hogan wasn't in it, you guys should see the comments made about Shawns finisher on that one, someone didn't know he never called the superkick sweet chin music back then and had no idea the back suplex was his finisher
It really was...I own the SNES version (and will own the Sega Genesis version in the near future), and it has awesome gameplay, sound, rosters and definitely the music.
Disagree with me all you want, but I think this was one of the more better wrestling games. If I still had my sega genesis and this game I would definetly still be playing it today
Hogan's "Legdrop of Doom" @ 0:47 looks like he's just planting his ass on his opponent. Granted, the graphics of the time were not capable of rendering him putting his leg preciesely over an opponents neck :)
I remember playing this count less amounts of times in grade 9 wayyy back in the day. If you knocked the ref down enough he would storm out. This was hugeee for a game to do that way back when. Most. def. Ahead of its time for sure. And btw i just farted.
Ah yes the end of the trail but in the game it was called reverse fall away slam. The cool thing about the game is you can do it if any weak opponent runs right at you, you don't have to throw them.
The only thing I didn't like about this game was when your opponent is in a submission and doesn't have any energy in the bar he doesnt quit like in the WWF RAW game.
Guys you don't need to buy cartirdes on Internet anymore. Just play it on vizzed it's free and virus free. I played this and sega cd rage in cage love it. Also vizzed added meme arcade games now and I press 1 button per coin credit so I went through whole royal rumble with mr perfect. When I was little it would of costed me 5.00$ at the Arcade. Vizzed rules all . No dumb download of Roms either
what I was referring to was another comment saying wheres the SCM he used the BS and I KNOW the SCM was used back when he was with Jannetty but, it was only a move, alot of guys used it and it wasn't their finisher either.........
Aggravating to see that submissions don't end the match and that pinning finishers don't actually initiate a pin. Meanwhile in Japan the Firepro series was absolutely amazing while we got stuck with LJN. Honestly though this is one of their better games. I can't honestly say this sucks.
The sequel WWF Raw added submission wins of your opponent had no health at the time of the move being applied. LJN were pretty useless but the nostalgic factor of their games is pretty good.
I thought Tatanka's finisher was called "The End of the Trail"...was it called that other name prior? For some reason I only remember because I was a big fan of his...he came to my attention after his feud with my favorite...Mr.HBK himself.
I just downloaded this video game and it's so awesome to play on your phone.. But I wanna know how to do there special moves on there... This game is better than wwf attitude for n64: I really really love this video game for real "" the wrestlers look so real and very amazing.
@Shawn Williams this game has all those names I believe. So for once the genesis had much more than the Super Nintendo. I always liked the SNES art better though.
The hours spent playing this game. I miss those days :-(
Me too man!!!
I still have this for my super Nintendo. I play it to this day
I remember renting this game every drop off date. Blockbuster couldn't keep this game on there shelf
Lol!
The good old days lol!
this game was ahead of its time i swear lol the animation for each wrestler was well made
I had to smile at Tatanka's move, only because it was Bobby Heenan who dubbed it the Papoose To Go, much to Gorilla Monsoon's irritation, LOL.
Love Lex Luther’s pose taunt after finisher. I want this game.
Fun fact: Ric Flair and Lex Luger actually never wrestled at the same time in the WWF, since Flair left after the 1993 Royal Rumble which was also when Lex Luger made his WWF debut as a wrestler.

Gil B That’s what I did on May 20th. It’s so hard to believe he has been gone for ten years already.
got the IRS animation stuck in my head and i found this video. excellent game, one hell of a roster too!
oh man i loved that game. When Yokozuna does tha banzai drop it is such a solid thud. Royal Rumble is a definite classic
My favorite part about this game is if you try to do a Razor's Edge too close to the ropes both of you will bounce back and fall to the mat.
Completely agree of with you, definitely one of the best wrestling games I've ever played. I actually just order a copy off of eBay and can't wait to play it again on my Genesis.
Played this on SNES all the time. Loved playing as Macho Man Randy Savage and using his flying elbow drop finisher. OHHHH YEEEAAAHHHHH!
My favorite was always the Razor's Edge
Cause it's just TOO sweeeeeeeeeeet 😎
Outsiders 4 life
This game was hilarious back in the day😂😂
Lol. 0:58 IRS getting choked after the write off. Lol
Lmao. I said the same thing and chuckled to myself seeing that as well.
Lmao i caught that too
This game was so funny. "The write off" always had me dying as did hitting people with the chair and knocking out the ref.
Memories, sweet memories, oh and "buh"
@ausdude86 He used the kick ocassionally when he was with the Rockers, Marty Jannetty used it too. When he went solo he used the "side supplex' on his opponents. Mr.Perfect is the GOAT
Those was the days . So many memories, time has really passed
Yokozuna finisher is funny on here that dance
I love how Lex Luger, Macho Man, Razor Ramon, and Yokozuna. Taunt in the game
I remember I had everyone’s finishing move except lex lugar trying to figure it out for weeks, then finally by fluke I got it lol missed these days man

I played this damn game so much man. takes me back
I always hated how you coudn't win by submission or pin someone with the Perfect Plex, Banzai Drop, etc.
I loved the days when these seemed like legit finishers that could end a match. Old school wrestling had a greater emphasis on match pacing and storytelling rather than high flying and spots.

Love how they hit the ropes. Looks so proper.
Someone needs to romhack this entire engine with every character
Like rage in the cage meets royal rumble meets super wrestlemania... etc etc
Here's what that roster would look like:
www.deviantart.com/stjurgeon/art/WWF-games-cast-759053641
Yeah I didn't like that snes and genesis versions had different wrestlers.
"AUGHHHH!"
What a fantastic game. I miss it.
Never noticed until now how much detail they put into the way IRS hit the ropes before the Write Off
I use to love this game and RAW for snes
I had this game I remeber never being able to see Jim Dougen special move until on day same scenario here. Once you lose the royal rumble you have to watch the computer play , jim finally choke Hogan I was like omg this is it Hogan was by the ropes jim charged him and Hogan woke up and hip toss jim out the ring. All I heard was blaaaaaggh!
lmao that's great. I love it.
Rawfusion 45mm That sounds about right! Only the Hulkster! 😄
This game was the best back in the day!
I always loved that choke hold loll.
It really was...I own the SNES version (and will own the Sega Genesis version in the near future), and it has awesome gameplay, sound, rosters and definitely the music.
That write-off was some fire.
Disagree with me all you want, but I think this was one of the more better wrestling games. If I still had my sega genesis and this game I would definetly still be playing it today

Are those moves in the original game or did u use flash animations?
𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞
Spent so many hrs playing Royal Rumble. Had to do every finishing move with every wrestler. Razors Edge and Sharpshooter was my favorite s
Use to love this game as a kid
I bought this game for Sega. I really enjoyed it, and loved the arcade feel. Don't make them like they use to.
Ah yes the end of the trail but in the game it was called reverse fall away slam. The cool thing about the game is you can do it if any weak opponent runs right at you, you don't have to throw them.
If only they could remake this game with the same sprites and pixels but with the current superstars.
The only thing I didn't like about this game was when your opponent is in a submission and doesn't have any energy in the bar he doesnt quit like in the WWF RAW game.
awesome looking finishers!

destinybro Banzai drop and perfect plex should both have pinned though, considering that ability was codeable two years before.
SWEET FINISHING MOVES IN WWF ROYAL RUMBLE 1993 FOR SNES !!!
I used to rent this game all the time back in the day.
I had this game as a preteen. Great memories!
I thought Tatanka's finisher was called "The End of the Trail"...was it called that other name prior?
For some reason I only remember because I was a big fan of his...he came to my attention after his feud with my favorite...Mr.HBK himself.
@cenafan1280 - It is indeed the same move although I'd believe Khali's version would hurt a lot more due to how big he is.
Childhood memories 👍👍
Lugers move was always hard to do 🤦
Loved this game haha though I dont remember having that many wrestlers to choose from. What a game haha
The memories....
SNES version has less wrestlers 😔
This one is amazing
@kaypeeization Ok Kew. When I Play It Next time, Im Gonna Do That. Thanx BRAH
I just downloaded this video game and it's so awesome to play on your phone.. But I wanna know how to do there special moves on there... This game is better than wwf attitude for n64: I really really love this video game for real "" the wrestlers look so real and very amazing.
Anyone who agrees that the Write-Off was the coolest finisher gets a tex credit!
It definitely showed what a tremendous athlete Mike Rotunda was.
“You got me brother” 2:00
Ummm calamaty I already know dude but good to see you do too!
This brings back memories
nobody was gettin up frm irs finisher lol....
Awsome finishing moves 👍
What pissed me off about this game was that Mr Perfect's Perfectplex wasn't held for the 3 count.
and you mean the ''baclk'' suplex!
I prefer Hogan's legdrop on super wrestlemania (genesis)
Graphics look better on the snes version
This game was addicting!
and @ BuccThaGameh........ THIS is an A and B conversation so you can C your way out of it! Bret is cool and so is the Sharpshooter
Think the roster & look/sound advantage goes to the SNES version
damn... those were the days
I thought the write off was the best move on this game
It would have been cool if all 12 wrestlers were different on the two systems
I ♡ Hulk Hogan in this game.
For everyone who says that LJN never made a good game, I submit this as a rebuttal.
Remembering Scott Hall…
Cost me £40 when it came out but what a great game
It called "The Immortal Leg Drop" God dammit.
They should of put all the wrestlers in the NES and snes in one game
Boston Crab?! For Rick, its the CANADIAN CRAB!
I prefered WWF Raw, it had special moves for every character in addition.
Jim Duggan's finisher can freeze the game.
Really?
@@gregholman2431 I can confirm. But I remember it was Model )
I have both Sega Genesis and Super NES versions of this game. But, in my opinion, the Super NES version is a whole lot better.
This game would be pretty good if the grappling wasnt button-mashing based.
Jason Martin you can fix that by button mashing punch and kick and then running dropkick lol
back, FUCK!
Hulk Hogan wasn’t in this neither was IRS, hacksaw or the model Rick Martel or papa Shango.
@Shawn Williams this game has all those names I believe. So for once the genesis had much more than the Super Nintendo. I always liked the SNES art better though.
THE BONZAI DROP!!!
is this game in sega genasis the game for ps3 and xbox 360?
The sound tho lol
why the fuck are alot of these finishers done on Shawn Michaels for I laugh if he got up and kicked the players ass lmao
why is hacksaw jum dugan rapin hogan ? while hogan has is underwear on ?
awesome
I know that game only with 8 Wrestlers. Which version is that?
Agree, several of these wrestlers shown weren’t in the version I had...
