Koreatown, Los Angeles, California - This is a foodie tour I've been wanting to take for a long time. Luckily, I had two great subscribers who were willing to take me around and show me the best restaurants in Koreatown Los Angeles last week. It was an epic LA Food tour!
Two Hands Seoul Corn Dog (California Market) - Wild and delicious Korean-style corn dogs in a large outdoor market in Koreatown.
Sun Nong Dan - Traditional Korean Galbi Jjim, which is braised beef short rib and back rib, served in a giant pot with rice cakes, potatoes and vegetables. For a bonus (not traditionally Korean), you can add freshly melted cheese on top!
Papa's Chicken - Korean fried chicken wings, and one of the best fried chickens I've ever had. The crunch of the Korean fried chicken was out of this world, and it's because they use rice flour!
Soowon Galbi - The best Korean BBQ in Koreatown Los Angeles! That's a bold statement because it's the only Korean BBQ I've been to in LA, but I don't know how it gets better than this.
Oakobing - Korean shaved ice cream that's piled high and comes with all the additions you can imagine; from mochi to espresso!
If you ever have the chance to do a LA food tour, I highly recommend coming to Koreatown and trying these great Korean restaurants in Los Angeles.

Omg The Line is one of my favorite hotels!!! And I love me some K-town!!!
Korean food is addictive. Sooooo good. In a few months you will be a pro!!
everything looked so good! I'm going to be taking a trip here in a couple of months and definitely will be checking out these places. I was wondering about food prices??
Great video,already subscribe .
Thank you so much MG! đ
going here soon! thank you! what are prices like??
Yay! Yum!
đđ
You batted 100% on your Palm Springs restaurants. We tried them and all were excellent
I love to hear that Jackie, thank you for the feedback!! đ
Try Mochinut next time for Korean corn dogs. They have multiple locations. The donuts are awesome too. Went to Oakobing a few years ago for my nieces kindergarten graduation celebration, it was so good!! Itâs perfect during the summer đ§
What a fun episode. đ Can't wait to visit K-town.đ«°
It was such a great day, and I learned so much about Korean cuisine! đ
Thumbs up for the sides, especially kimchi and pickled radish. I wonder if they serve seafood. I need the desserts.
A side note: it is me, or is Gareth's mouth opening wider than ever before?
Haha, I have been doing a lot of mouth stretches in preparation for this new channel! đ€Ł
Pretty nice to see you again,,,đ„°đœđ”đ
Thank you for watching! đ
Damn, I need to plan a trip, it all looks so good.
Most definitely worth a day trip Meggie! Thanks for watching! đ
My fave all time Ktown food is Parkâs ( so OG). I havenât tried Papaâs chicken so thank you. Kyochon used to be my fave. Great food review đ
I need to try Park's next. I am addicted to Korean food now!! Thanks for watching đ
are you talking about parks bbq? i think quarters bbq is the best in ktown.
@@oceanrocks yes parkâs for taste, quality and service and itâs in Michelin guide. Quarters is good too but not at par with quality and service is so so. Quarters has more fun environment than Parks.
@@GarethEats yes, parkâs is so OG. I couldnât believe the service too. They are top notch. Iâm not saying Korean service is bad lol but mostly u go to Korean restaurant for the food not service. Quality of meat in Parkâs is top notch as well..
great stuff my man! come to the bay area - I got you đ€
hello geats, thank you for the Los Angeles crawl. in the 25 years of the movement of Korean slowly growing faster in restaurant business, the Chinese kind of moved out. did not like the corn dog idea but the different not spicy jigae and dessert with fruits are nice. the tea with milk was mentioned a little for tea in our asian restaurants. a pot of tea in our round table - you can ask for sweetened and may be they have milk at dinner time. elle for vanilla w mango
6:53 recorded in the kitchen, thats awesome
Might have to go to LA for a Ktown foodie day đ I grew up in the area
I was hoping Dan Sun Sa would make the cut! I always stop there for dinner when I am in town!
Gareth is so funny. Heâs like a big kid.
Mul Nangmyung is my favorite dish... Its so uniquely Korean. The refreshing crisp with the cold meaty broth, there is nothing really like it. With hot meat its like the perfect combo....
Whoooo is this Gooorgeous Korean man? đ€©đ€€ For once I'm not caring about the food. Siiigh #dehydrated
creepy
Haha
Hahaha Agree with the cold of naengmyeon throwing me off. My ex boyfriend was Korean and he loved it, so not my thing - but Korean beef bbq with tons of banchan and soju is my favorite meal of all time. I am also a true Buffalonian, born and raised - cant get pizza and wings anywhere else.
Respect to Rochester!
OMGGGG the chicken spot is right across from La Guelaguetza đźđź now i know!! Can get amazing oaxacan food for breakfast and leave with some Korean fried chicken for lunch heck yeah!
You can hear the crunch...
Some real ASMR stuff right there! đ
cold noodles throws me off too. so im too intimidated to try. nice to see they add a ton of condiments to bring it together.
I used to go to two hands all the time before the rebranding. Wonder if itâs any good still.
AWESOMENESS
Thank you!!
You're Welcome Bro
Damn, Now I'm starving while watching this.
I introduced my boyfriend to the nyangmyeon (cold noodles). He loves it! Every time we do Korean on a hot day, he craves it.
You've got an elf shape ears đgreat content
Next to the line hotel is the best egg sandwich âŠeggtuck is a must
love ur videos bro
Korean fried chicken is the bestâ€ïž!!!
Hello from N. Chili NY! Delivered many a buffalo wing for pontillos in the late 80s. Great to hear you are from the area! I look forward to more vids!
Peter knows his stuff. But he should have asked for small serving bowls for each of you.
I usually pick my KBBQ place based off my mood. Party mood? Quarters. ACYE? Hae Jang Chon. More a la carte? Too many to name! If you do Japanese food, I recommend Yazawa for something upscale.
Thank you so much John! đ
Exactly how I would go lol Quarters is killer
Quarters lost its way. Been going for several years and the quality and service is not there. Iâd rather go up the next block and head to Mun
SOUTH KOREA RESTAURANT THE BEEF WITH CHEESE IN LOS ANGELES WE EAT ALREADY AND I AM GONNA TRY THE HOTDOG
It's so good!! đ
Dont expect to like cold nangmyeon on the first try but after a meal on hot summer day, you will be hook on it.
Speaking of Halo Halo, when are you going to do a Filipino eatsin LA? đâșïž
You...eating food....I'm in!
It's the corn dogs isn't it?
That chicken looks fire and all but when I grew up we did not use gloves to eat chicken wingsđ
hi, i like your videos but, is it possible to add the prices? Im from colombia , and we're traveling to the west coast in 2 weeks and I want to try good meals but I also need to be aware of the prices because of the money exchange
Haha...bit of a "lady and the tramp" moment with the galbi bowl....đđ
Haha, you're right! đș
whos this Oppa! in this video!? đ€©
Korean rice batter, The Best
SO GOOD!! đ
Chillin with subscribers. That's cool, not sure why more YT's dont do this.
good korean food in LA no doublt, almost as good as Vancouver! no Gamjatang tho? cmon!
Heading up to Vancouver soon, any suggestions!? đ
@@GarethEats Yeessssss bro.
South Castle Korean Restaurant in North Van, not far from downtown. Dine-in is back. They have authentic Sundae, tastes as good as you would get in Seoul, SK.
Sura Korean downtown is the best "fusion" place probably.
but if you want to drink like a Korean then late at night try - Hongdae Pocha (near Sura) for the atmosphere. Soju and Samgyupsal to your hearts content.
Ktown food never disappoints
very cheesy content đđ€Ł needs epic outro lolzy. bring it on more foodies pls thx :)))
Haha, yes!! đ
You have to think about cold noodles as if they are pasta salads so you can get into the concept
That is a good way to think about it, Natalia! I will try that next time đ
proud of you brudder
I appreciate it Kevin! đ
LA tofu house for soon dobu!
Yes, hotdogs are also gluten free, yahoo ....you're supposed to eat cheese side first, so it's stringy and melted perfection.
Ah, very nice!! đ
We have been hosting Chinese students for years and one issue I have is sharing food from the same plate , food Falling out of your mouth back on the plate , everyone putting utensils in there mouths and back into the same plate,đ I always have to grab what I want first then let everyone go at it , my theory on why covid spread so fast through Asian countries
Hahaha, that is so interesting! One day I will go to China and hopefully experience all of this chaos myself! Thanks Mike!
â@Gareth Eats You were living it, bro! Next time, ask for small bowls for each of you.
thats hogwash
Shit.... the secret is out. Now its going to be long lines to my favorite spots.đȘđȘđȘ
Tamari sauce, rice flour, all gluten free, yahoo
So good!!
banchan. say it. banchan. not "sides". lol.
I don't get why the plastic glove?? it's fried chicken, Like BBQ ribs, you eat and get down and dirty. Gloves to eat finger food. The best part is sucking your fingers when all is finished đ âđ.
Personally, im not a fan of the sugar covering the corn dog. it was too sweet. it was like eating a donut
why don't you come to Korea for original food of Korea's spirit
I have never heard anyone call naengmyun a slurpie or slushi. Calling Korean fried chicken tempura? You do a disservice to Korean cuisine by oversimplifying it rather than understanding it. While I appreciate that you are clearly open to trying new dishes not everything can be fit into 2-4 boxes of familiarity.
f brandon! lets go brandon! yea go whatever
buhahaahahahaahah
What part? LOL đ
I do not understand completely why the Americans just like to compare everything with other countries and people like do they not have anything else important to do? Comparing Korean food from an immigrant country or place to the original country that it was invented or created is just absurd... and tbh, no Koreans in Korea really care abt comparing cause in the end, its still edible Korean food... just like to say to the tourist or foreigners that if they want to experience the variety of Korean food tasting, just come to South Korea... all those Koreatowns in the US is just too small to define how good it is...
