Wow! What a lovely story. It had special meaning for me because I lived and worked in Manhattan for 50 years. But unlike Rachel I had no family to return to and no lovely memories from the track housing town in which I was raised. It gave me a new understanding of big city life: Life in Manhattan can be glamorous and a lot of fun but it also has its dark side. For those inhabitants who have fond memories of where they were raised and perhaps come from loving families, they have an escape hatch and they leave. While for the rest of us who came to Manhattan as orphans there is nowhere to return to so we soldier on and make the best of it. But I did move west at 70.
That's not romance, that's love💞

If I could have the girl of my dreams who lives(d) in Elizabethtown KY, I would probably move back to my home state, Kentucky. Susan T., you will always have a place in my heart.
The principal actors in this movie are incredible. So understated and authentic. No yelling out their lines or anything like that. The whole feel of the movie is extremely good.
The fact that they are married in real life made the chemistry between them jump off the screen ..hope they continue to work together, this movie was sweet and wholesome .

What a heartfelt movie, nice seeing wholesome clean movies.
I am so pleasantly surprised by knowing the fact how people in the west also like clean movies which shows love and good morals. I thought people in the west like vulgar movies, but I was wrong and I am happy.
unfortunately many of them are so predictable with similar formulas.
He really loved her is the reason he put up with that behavior. Women and men a very different, once a man is rejected like she did, they usually never come back. But true love can move mountains.
For some men there is only one woman. Ever watched Flipped? In that movie the grandfather tells his grandson something like "Once in a while you find that special girl. And when you do, nothing will ever compare".
...we need more of this....makes me feel good...thank you...

That house isn't worth a couple million in central ky and the Castle is pricey but not so expensive that a teacher couldn't afford it

Not saying it was bad but, please, come up with another theme than 95% of LMN or "feel good" genres are always putting out-Small town girl who's a big hit in the city but, when she has a reason to go back to her hometown, finds out that where she belonged all along and the HS boyfriend was the real "Mr Right". Talk about redundancy!
