For the purposes of demonstrating the assembly of the FREDDE desk in a video, the white model offers a much clearer view, but if I were to buy this desk I would definitely choose the black option since the darker surfaces would reflect far less glare when used as a computer stand. Like so many Ikea products, this FREDDE desk seems to offer many well-thought-out and practical design elements. (The desk I'm using now has fewer features, but I'll also note that it was about half the price of this Ikea model...) I'm always glad to see your fine videos on CZcams.
Thank you for your support guys. Greatly appreciated. Regarding colour hard to say I guess depending what you have already in the room or what colour combinations is your gaming gear. Gamers are sometimes very specific with their setup and that regarding machines chairs or desks.
I didnt understand completely the instructions available in the manual. Your Video is very helpful and i am able to assemble it with no problem. only issue was i didnt have a drilling machine but the screw driver with all the required bits which demanded a little more strength and effort. Really great video. Appreciate your help❤
FREDDE desk is a cool desk. I am still using it nearly 9 years and still sturdy and good.

no worries mate, i have the desk in white is awesome big and spacious for 2 monitors and also the top shelf for a bit of design decoration best desk i ever had and paid 30 bucks for it @@sneakyfruits9980

thank you, I recently received this as a hand-me-down by my brother-in-law and wanted to take off the PC stands on the bottom corners because they're designed for microATX cases, it never dawned on me to check underneath the stands for the Allen screws

Hi, thanks for this video! Can you share the measurement of the shelf on the bottom where the computer unit can be placed?
Sorry don't have access to this desk anymore but the bottom shelve I would say can accommodate computer unless you have some specific size gaming machine
i ordered the desk while away, they already built it. any idea how to remove that lower desk? i have the smaller version of this, the one without the top shelf

I am trying to work out if my mac studio will fit in the gap between the monitor shelf and the main desk - I can find all the specs I need for the desk except that one LOL. If it can fit that makes a big difference for me.
I am considering this for a music studio, this looks more useful than most actual expensive studio desks as the Ikea has room for two 27" screens side by side, which almost no studio desk has.
Hey, did you ever use this desk for your music set up? I'm thinking the same thing. I even wondered if you could actually but the shelf for the monitor a bit higher.
@@stowe07 hi, no, i bought a custom music desk locally that is bang on. nearly 2 metres wide, 8 rack space, 2x27" monitors side by side as well as my adam speakers on same shelf, 88 key pullout keyboard tray, and a massive shelf at the bottom as well that can fit my UPS, UAD gear and Mac. Big difference in price, was 1300 AUD.

Can you skip one of the botton shelves? My PC is too big and too heavy to place it there and I would prefer to keep in on the floor...
Or to be more precise. I would like to keep the support between the two legs and remove the shelf. Then I would place it on the floor to have a buffer between the carpet and my pc.

On ikea website, it shows the bottom back bar ( for the 2 shelves ) reversed compaired to your build, is the ikea site incorrect ? ... if so i think they should correct that mistake on their website... many thanks, gotta say its a lovely Desk.. 👍 👍
Not sure often I don’t follow instructions I may make mistake but this works for me no issues with the build. And yes I like this desk two good size for gaming. Thank you for watching
