'Street Fighter-Legacy' a Streetlight Films production, co-directed by Joey Ansah and Owen Trevor, produced by Jacqueline Quella and stars Jon Foo as Ryu and Christian Howard as Ken.
'StreetFighter-Legacy' a liveaction short film fan project, based on the popular Capcom gaming franchise: Street Fighter. Officially endorsed by Capcom
StreetFighter Legacy has been a labour of love and passion project for its creator, Joey Ansah, who not only conceived and pitched the project, but also co-directed, co-wrote and choreographed it, alongside cameo'ing in the film. Collaborating, creative partner and long time friend Christian Howard was part of the project from day one, co-writing the script and story elements, as well as further down the line, storyboarding the film, being assistant fight choreographer and most importantly playing Ken Masters.
Streetlight repped Australian Director Owen Trevor came onboard to co-direct the film. His experience and style carried forward from shooting on 3 series of the acclaimed 'Top Gear' have really been an asset to the project and given it a strong visual flair.

10 years later and this is still a MASTERRPIECE
Check Street Fighter Assassin's Fist. That one is the actual masterpiece.
That show is really good. I remember watching it thinking "I wish other fighting games would be adapted this way"@@adventuresofbee0909
13 years now
😊
I'm here because tomorrow it'll be the 10th anniversary of this short. Incredible how much has happened over the last decade. Thank you for bringing an amazing adaptation to life.
10 years later still badass. I’m going to consider this the ‘sequel’ to Assassin’s Fist seeing as world warrior was sadly cancelled. Resurrection would take place after this.
I'm very hurt ABout the world warrior and Resurrection.
that sucks... good things rarely happen to us... this generation sucks... depressing as hell.. fuck hollywood.. and this bullshit pandemic.. ruined everything..
Wasn't this made by the same production team as the Assassin's Fist mini series? I know this predates the Assassin's Fist series but I think it was what prompted to have that series made. The guy that plays Ken here looks a bit like the guy that plays ken in the mini series too...
@@EternalRoman they are the same
resurrection sucked it was a huge step down from AF sadly... also while the movie was great it had pacing problems like with Gouken's backstory that dragged on a bit too long plus we never got to see Ryu have a shining moment unlike Ken who came out on top. This would of been cool to see Ryu and Ken double teaming Akuma but I understand why they held that fight off but we'll probably never see that now...
Dear Capcom,
Throw money at these guys!

Dear TheLastGarou,
They endorsed and helped with this project and Assassin's Fist.

Okay, so I was wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks for the heads-up though.
I like it
ryu's must be some weird japanese fenotype, really weird, cough cough white washed
Capcom: No
12 years, and still amazing production!
Ken looks like blonde Tom Cruise with Rock Lee's eyebrows
SerbianMachoMan ha ha that’s funny
😂🤣
#SerbianMachoMan "Dude, that's #ChristianHoward as #KenMasters from #StreetFighterAssasinsFist with #JonFoo as #RyuHoshi in #StreetFighterLegacy, you're welcome." 😊💖💭🎬🎞️🎥📽️📱🔮 #Capcom #MiddlebrooksFanatics
honestly its true , i rewatched Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist and thats what striked me too. and btw they took this ken and put him in the movie which is pretty funny!
ya I felt the same lol
"So let's touch our feets in air"
I really hate to accept that this is really better than any Hollywood SF movies.
Hollywood actually had opportunities, but missed them.
The 1994 movie could’ve had starring roles like Dean Cain as Ryu and Brandon Lee as Ken.
is that tom fucking cruise?
my thought exactly ^^
Christian Howard
Ahahahahahahaha
1 Million Internet points are yours my friend.
are u blind fucking blind?
That's Ken Cruise.
It's interesting to see where the road to a good live-action Street Fighter adaptation began. I remember seeing this when it first dropped, and being amazed by it. I am glad Joey Ansah and his crew have moved from making fan films to creating legit productions based on Street Fighter. This was great, and I love Assassin's Fist. I can't wait for World Warrior.
Gabriel Esparza there is gonna be a world warrior I didn't know
Yes there will be a follow-up to Assassin's Fist.

Kevin R. Aurellado (Kaja Roj) THNX DUDE
Kevin R. Aurellado (Kaja Roj) you mean another follow up? We already had resurrection which was a sequel series to assassins fist and now we have world warrior coming. If you haven’t seen resurrection yet you should check it out man
jeremy roberts Resurrection wasn't the sequel to Assassin's Fist. That mini-series was just a promotional tie-in to Street Fighter 5. World Warrior (the link I posted) is the direct follow-up to Assassin's Fist, it will be a TV show.
Wow you guys just have come a long way from this to Assasin's Fist!
And no shaky cam either! Hint hint, Hollywood!
If there is one thing I hate about most action movies today, it's SHAKY CAMS. I wanna see the action, goddammit!! I'm just glad we can actually see the action in this and 'Assassin's Fist'.
I can't wait for May because #SFAF is gonna be one gigantic 'Fuck U/In Your Face' to Hollywood. It's PAYBACK time, BITCH!!! #StreetFighter #AssassinsFist
Wow. That is better than any street fighter made up until this point. Hats off and hands up to the guys who made this short.
This is a real professional fan film production. Not like that amateur DBZ crap trailer from K&K Productions.
Congrats for making this awesome live action representation of Street Fighter. Real fans with the real talent are the ones who can accomplish the greatness.
Both Ken and Ryu's themes were so awesome!
"Jolly good fight, Ken! Now let us gingerly touch our tippy toes!"
You know what I love about certain fandoms I'm in? The level of dedication the fans have for the series.
To many ppl have opinions about this but cant accomplish anything themselves. Let me be the one to say thank you for breathing life into a child hood memory! If theres small details that dont plz every1, at least appreciate thier dedication to something we all share... A love of street fighter!
Watching this again after five years since my last comment, this still holds up. Spectacular
Instantly liked for Jon Foo!!!!!
I am here for Tom cruise 😭 he made Ken look absolutely unforgettable.. Almost straight out of the game.. That hair, physique and red suit
how come these short films got better actors and better fight scenes than the live action movies that hollywood makes?
Cus the director and producer don't know shit about the street fight games or storyline and don't give a fuck about us fans opinions.
The original short film that started it all. :D I remember this... it's just my first time watching in years, and since watching Assassin's Fist. I'm so glad they made this. It's come so far.
Man this takes me back. Feels like a refreshment, and now I can't wait for what's to come next!
Uncanny. This is exactly how I say hi to my long-time-no-see friends.
Your friends must have a lot of black eyes
Well, what doesn't kill them makes them stronger.
i too like to shoryuken them hello
And suddenly rain.
typical British weather lol
Well that's actually how rain works: one minute it's raining and the next it isn't. Amazing.
Well, it was the start of Round 3.
Day and Night also changes.
Ignorant fool.. You know nothing of the dark hado that resides within Ryu.. Also, it does that in the later video games.
I never heard of this until I saw Assassin's Fist. I'm glad they got rid of all that slow mo for the recent release.
I love the attention to detail. Everything from the stances, the grapples, Ken's face, his taunt is spot on!
I have patiently waited for 4 years for the most anticipated fan series - SFAF. I just finished watching all 12 episodes and it blew me away. Great job guys! A great big thank you for all the hard work you've put into this and SFAF.
Best eyebrows.
The eyebrows are basically the old school street fighter game look.
I understood what they were trying to create, badass, no complaints from me.
aokigaharaIMPULSE yep, and as they were described by Screw Attack they are so epic that they cannot be contained by a headband
www.arcade-gear.com/Games/Street_Fighter_II_Turbo/Street_Fighter_II_Turbo_Art_Ryu_1.jpg
Tom cruise made Ken look absolutely unforgettable 😭.. He looks as if he jumped out of the game. That long hair, physique and red suit. Insane
I’ll always come back to this masterpiece.
Ryu: How do you do Ken?
Ryu: Can i borrow this Ken?
Ken: Sure you can!
Lyke Daryl Basilio Gouken: Show Ryu, Ken
It's more a Kamehameha than a Hadouken xDDD
Flaming shoryuken to the chin did no damage. It needs a buff.
Pretty good short film. A lot of effort and love put in it. Kudos to you guys!
Truly impressive work. I can tell the dedication and effort that went into this! 10/10 would watch again.
These two have been the most perfect Ryu and Ken...change my mind
christian howard suits ken perfectly but jon foo is not good enough to play ryu..Hes too small and dosent look asian
i was thinking fan films are becoming better than big budget films and THIS IS PROOF. that was street fighter in a nutshell and holy shit it was awesome! thanks to the the team that put this together for us fans!
Legend has it that they never really kicked each other at the end
I recently learned about this project and spin-off series/films and D*MN I love it! :D
I grew up with SF2 on the SNES system, so this feeds my nostalgia BIG TIME.
Fantastic effort from all the people involved and 'Hollywood' could learn a thing or two about 'respecting your source material' from this project!
Hope to see more in the future! :D

Christian Howard looks like Tom Cruise
+Johnny Can sound like him too lol
Yup! i saw that too
Too
Him and Sean faris look like Tom Cruise
the moment you realize ryu in jin from the tekken movie
i like the idle jump kicks at the end lol
Excellent! Ryu had the proper foot position for his side kick. The knife edge of the foot.
Why the hell is this on youtube and not in theaters
The best fan film EVER !!!
This short looked just like playing the original street fighter in an arcade when I was young! This is great love the costumes! I couldn't imagine what a full budget film buy you and your team would be
Search Street Fighter Assassins Fist and you'll have your answer.
10 years !!! Felt like yesterday when I first watched this and soiled myself with Ken's shoryuken 🔥
Damiani
Fave scene--KEN'S FIERY DRAGON PUNCH! OH YEAH! SHORYUKEN!
I'm shocked that I haven't heard of this before.. This is extremely well made. I especially love the character likeness, the SOUNDTRACK, and the special effects. If your new project is anywhere close to this level of quality I will be extremely happy. Keep up the excellent work guys.
Joey Ansah, Christian Howard, you'll probably never read this, but you're the best! Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist is my favorite movie of all time! I can really tell from every single shot, every single move just how much you put your hearts into making these things. Even if we don't get World Warriors, you've already given us so much! Thanks, guys! SHORYUKEN!
I watched Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist already and I'm sooooooo into it!
I have been disappointed watching many idiot versions for a decade. Now, the pain seems to be diminished.
Where can I donate for them to create more?
They already developing the sequel, titled 'Street Fighter: World Warrior' which will comes out probably next year.
@@KJRA2009 BULLSHIT! it's been 3 years already ... and I still love this series so very very much but can't seem to find any sequel right now... Resurrection is too short and has a cliffhanger ending. I'm so disappointed~ :/
@Ryu Hoshi I made the comment 3 years ago, and I did not expect the development process of 'SF: World Warrior' to take this longer. The bright side is... it's still in the works as a TV show.

I know the development is taking too long but I'm hoping they deliver with great results.
@@KJRA2009 I am looking forward the sequel for Assasins fist too....directed by Joey ansah(The Akuma)
They made a version called Genesis.... not so impressive...more like typical X-men shit..
Hope they make something that justifies the characters.
OMG ITS Jon Foo FROM TEKKEN! :D (MAIN ROLE JIN)
and they made a 3min fanfilm better than this shitty movie
#ChrisXiong "Fun Fact: #JonFoo was on #RushHour TV series for one season on #CBS." 😊💖💭🎬🎞️🎥📽️📱🔮 #Capcom #MiddlebrooksFanatics
This never gets old....
Pretty slick! A very faithful interperetation. Great action, and great cinematography/editing!
2:40 we all know that kick would've fallen short
0:58 Tom Cruise is that you?
Its been 10 years since release already, time flies!
This video alone has already redeemed Street Fighter for me, Great work!!
this made me cry.
How can we send money to you guys?!
I like that they used some of the character specific normals. Best live action street fighter I've every seen. Good shit
Saw this over five years ago and it is Classic performance!!!
Starring Tom Cruise as Ken
Ken's Eyebrows -_-
Just had the pleasure of meeting Christian Howard who plays Ken just this morning. Cool guy, he's got talent alright and he's in ridiculously great shape! Really enjoyed the short film....vote this up everyone!
That Christian Howard is the most constant Ken in street fighter films
Lionel Messi as Ken.

I didn't notice this until just now, but in the nightmare sequence Akuma does Misogi to Ryu right before the heaven kanji glows on his back. I love the attention to detail!
Wow! I remember watching this when i was a kid. This is probably the best fan fiction I’ve ever seen and i hoped they’d make another one of this but unfortunately it’s been 10 years now and yet they still haven’t done another one but it’ll be great if Hollywood made a street fighter live action movie that’ll be AWESOME!!!
This team did make an official movie with backing from Capcom. Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist.
*That shoryuken must have wiffed.. it did no damage* ✅🙂
You’re saying that for 7 years lol😂
Ken looks like Pavel Nedved.
I was thinking he looks like Elisha Cuthbert
Issy Hussain LOL. Yep, he looks like Tom Cruise. That's exactly what I thought while watching this. :)
0:40 lionel messi
I loved the foot high five at the end.
This is amazing, well produced
What the Name of the Soundtrack?? Nice Song!!
It does need more work to meet hollywood standards, but at least it does not look amateur.
Ken's epic face during the shoryuken
Still the most accurate on-screen Ryu. Jon Foo is an absolute beast!
He's been both Ryu and Jin Kazama. I wonder if he'll ever play, say Akira from Virtua Fighter, just to complete a hat trick
I don't like CG effect but acting is good
Not everything can be good at the same time
But you're right, hope that in Assasin's Fist will be better effects
The starting part of Shoryuken used real flames actually!
ken looks like Tom Cruise =))
I love the touchy toes at the end.
The best real Ryu I've ever seen! And Ken too. Congratulations!!
*****
Thanks man, but I think these guys are more similar than those ones from SFAF!
Evenin X Ken is played by the same guy.
DAMIANIZANDO
People are liking it just because it has the "fan" and "dragon ball" attach to it. They forget that they were asking for donation and advertised themselves as "professionals". Besides, you don't see negative feedback because they delete and ban anyone who thinks against them.
I mean, have you seen that last "nappa" picture?
Those guys should learn from this video and then try again.
Back when CZcams was for creators, a better time!
this its so good they look just like them!
2:35 why did you two neutral jump there?
Clock counter hit 00
Cause awesomeness
wat the hell is Jon Foo doing. Wasn't he Jin in the Tekken movie
#CamrheBCVlogger "Yes #JonFoo was in the #Tekken Live-Action movie as well as the complete TV series of #RushHour on #CBS." 😊💖💭🎬🎞️🎥📽️📱🔮 #Capcom #MiddlebrooksFanatics
Guys make more of this. Like series. Good job man ^^
Fucking awesome. Joey Ansah you are an absolute genius this is exactly how all Street Fighter live action should be!
I prefer Jon Foo as Ryu in Assassin's Fist
He does fit the facial design of Ryu in the SF 3 series of games quite well
@@Jacob1451_Kapnobatai yeah I agree
Personally Brian Tee would be a better Ryu.
Jon Foo on the other hand is too thin, he usually a miscast actor such as his roles like Jin from Tekken and Lee from Rush Hour.
@@KenMasters. Jon Foo had the face, intensity and athleticism tbh he could have put some more muscle on but he did have the look imo
@@Manesson
You're right, I think it is the lack of Ryu's physique that makes Jon Foo look unfitting. Jon Foo has more of the characteristics of a younger Ryu, specifically in Zero/Alpha.
SFII Ryu on the other hand basically looks like a buff, Asian cross between 90s Charlie Sheen and 90s George Clooney. It's difficult to find an Asian actor who looks the way he does.
nice one...
the last simultaneous flying kick is weird though as they no momentum on that kick and therefore, wont hit one another, which means it is pointless
Yeah, it's almost like it was made by fans or students who didn't want to accidentally break a fucking ankle so they didn't commit 100% because they weren't professional stuntmen with an entire med crew on standby behind the camera...
OH WAIT.
Tkeleth
They had professional stuntmen. Pretty sure
Amazing effects and color grading!!
Wow...freaking love this!
1:39 was that the dark hado on ryu!?
+Active Ayaan No it was a SFIV focus attack.
IMaximusDMI OH YEAH! thanks for that. i completely forgot about that.
actually he used that in sf 2 and turbo for the snes

Wow...Ten years already since this Short film debuted.
Wow I'm impressed for "Street Fighter Legacy" & "Street Fighter Beginnings End"...Perfection!
