When I was my early 50s my my belly became swallen gradually. I didn’t have any pain. So I neglected. One day went to see the dr. The doctor told that I had tumour. Then I gone through many tests, then immediately I underwent a surgery. I had the left over Ian tumour. By the grace of lord Jesus Christ the the operation was successful. The tumour was 3.5 kgs. All because of god I am alive today.

My mum was suffering for inconvenient fortnightly periods ignored it for years as it was 'just an inconvenience', eventually went to doctors, was misdiagnosed by NHS she was told she had precancerous cells ended up removing her womb, yet 5 years later via private hospital she found out she had actually had 1st stage cancer and now it's returned to the ovaries. If you are not confident ask for retest or double check of results, my mums symptoms were, often bloated, feels full, hardly eats. She had her ovaries removed and now has the 5 years all clear. I hope this info helps at least one person.

Our mum's cancer wasn't told her even though her Dr knew she had ovarian cancer he didn't tell her,, he just left her suffering from cancer and pain for yrs giving her more and more pain killers and heartburn meds she, died, and our sister and other family members all passed away very fast. More tests needed and Dr's need to listen to their patients. So no other family need to go through what we are. Thank you so much for sharing this important information. 🙏🏿🤔💪

2011 I was diagnosed with a football size ovarian tumor. Every doctor dismissed my complaints. This could have been found so much sooner as I suffered for years. There is an ultrasound wand they can use to look at your ovaries. Ask your doctor on annual checkups. Do what ever you have to do to get that test. My best advice to women out there. God Bless you are. You have to fight for your own health!

Best thing a doctor can do is request urgent ultrasound with any of these symptoms and tumours will be easily visualised. There is usually fluid in the abdomen as well (ascites) so there will be weight gain. Doctors are taught during training to examine and assess fluid in the abdomen but they rarely do such important diagnostic examinations due to sheer laziness and only taking 5-10 minutes for each consultation. Too keen to have you out the door with a prescription. say no and ask for ultrasound.

Fullness in abdomen, urgency to urinate, pain in lower back while having a bowel movement, and just in the last few weeks pelvis pain. I had no idea until your video that bone pain could be a sign. I'm also having SOB for no reason at all. I used to exercise 4 days a week with no issues. It's only been in the last 6 weeks that I have noticed problems. I lost 30 pounds and noticed a lump in my abdomen that I hadn't noticed before. From there, everything started happening quickly. I don't know if this is the problem, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

Dont all worry. My belly looked pregnant I looked easily a good 6 months pregnant. My doctor said I was fat and reluctantly sent me for an ultrasound scan. I had a 13cm what they called tumour on one side. It's the size if a CD or fetus. Other side a 2cm one. My blood test was positive. It turned out to be a massive endometrioma they couldn't even get it out. Stuck to bowels. It's caused by endometriosis which also gives positive readings in the blood test. I was lucky. Keep positive. 16 yrs later I'm still carying them around with me. Each 5 cm now. So don't jump to conclusions. I had only heaviness twinning and dragging. I now have a scare of another variety. I wish I fought like hell over the depth of pain. No one would listen. If in serious pain then fight for yourself. Fight for investigations before it's too late.

I wouldn't trust a ct I know of a girl who had terminal ovarian cancer so bad that by the time they found it on a ultrasound and went to do surgery they couldn't even get into her stomach because the cancer was EVERYWHERE so they just sewed her back up however she had already done up to 10 or more ct scans in the emergency room before the ultrasound and they had just kept sending her home all those times with laxatives telling her it was just constipation. It wasn't obviously.

The only thing to avoid cancer of the ovary is early detection, meaning, have a REGULAR gynecological examination by a (Gynecological Specialist). When do you start? After your first menstruation if money is not a problem, because in the Philippines, a Gyne first exam is a BIG decision esp. if you have no gynecologic symptoms. Then ,the question of affordability. Cancer of the ovary gives NO sign or symptoms. That is why, they are diagnosed LATE, that is, when you feel pain in the area, or when your belly enlarges without an obvious cause? Then, it is too late.

Unfortunately ovarian cancer is not routinely screened during gynecological examination. Many think yearly paps exams detect ovarian cancer but it does not. It only detects cervical cancer and STD/STI’s. Ultrasounds are not routinely done, the doctor has to suspect something is wrong. When ovarian cancer is detected it normally has progressed where prognosis is poor. My only recommendation find a gynecologist that is willing to listen to your concerns and pay out of pocket of insurance doesn’t want to pay for screening. They could easily order a tumor marker labs to see if there is a warrant for concern. Prayers to all that is dealing with this terrible illness.

Absolutely mine was 13cm. A whole CD. It was benign. They kept calling it tumour but its more a cyst. Endometriomas are cysts of old blood caused by late stage endometriosis. Tumours itself I still say yes. Those massive ones with teeth and bones don't necessarily turn out cancerous.
