I'm not sure how I feel about anti phone legistlation being done at the state level. I feel it would be better to let individual schools cater to the specific needs of their unique student bodies as opposed to blanket legislation.
I mean, as a teacher, we've been trying for years and effectiveness is spotty at best. This really won't stop all of it, of course, but it adds more teeth to our policies and justifications to our enforced consequences with both students and parents, who frequently think that they're above the rules as well. I do think it helps push a cultural change and understanding that this is not good and not ok for our future generations and their education.
They are still gonna bring it in. In case of emergency as always. And they won’t be taken away. GEN Alpha is too savage and straight up won’t give the phone up is asked. What are they gonna do.
Doesn't mean they're savage, it means they embrace thier ignorance. Soft parenting makes kids scared to get punched in tge face so they protect thier soft baby faces with guns like cowards.
@@JesusRodriguez-kd8es what are you talking about? These kids aren’t soft lol. Have you talked to one recently or are even related to one. They will curse at you like a sailor and throw you down a flight of stairs. Personally I like them. They don’t tolerate idiocy and see the bullshit better then gen Z (which I am)
The best way is Ban cell use in Class, outside of that let them have the phone, kids are not being taught anything anyway,, you can learn more from the internet than from a Failure who can only get a job working 5 hrs a day as an overpaid babysitter for 8 months,

As a young person I can even agree that kids shouldn't have phones in class
Idk. I've learned more from my phone than I've ever learned from school

We're quite lucky then that you aren't in charge of any of this legislation
Good! Cell phones do not belong in classrooms. Kids have to learn to deal with monotony.
I can't tell if you're making a satirical joke or if you're serious... which would be depressing.
@@Tahozaohhh...did the commenter hurt your feelers?
You aren't wrong. Many places of employment rely on employees who can.
Hopefully you can get parents on board with the phone thing. Most of them are just as bad.
NPR... no in depth on news stories?
