Lots of Art Festivals throughout the summer as well.. like Cherry Creek Arts Festival around July 4th. Also various beer and food festivals, bar crawls, etc. Car shows and swap meets galore, or like last week the Pikes Peak Hill Climb which has a long history, huge variety of vehicles and gains International teams competing. Maybe somewhere in the future we'll get back the Denver Grand Prix and have F1 style racers flying through downtown; last one was 2006.
I didn’t know there was racing downtown! That’s awesome - since a lot of business relocated out of downtown, that would be pretty feasible now! I also heard about SLUSH this last weekend, with drag racing and insanely stellar cars. So much to do always! I love it
went to denver last august and loved it . visited friends who left nyc and went pikes peak red rocks air force academy car museum water park murals and botanical garden . ate rattlesnake hotdog also had rocky mountain oysters at bickhorn exchange didnt like lakers losing but i dealt with it
Hot as an oven in summer, 100 F. to 115 F., with intense traffic and nothing to do. Figure two hours drive minimum to campgrounds and ski areas. Food is greasy hamburgers.
