Definitely Platinum is way harder this season than previous seasons. I usually breeze through plat and hit diamond pretty quick. This season is different

@@markmuller7962yeah plat is where people struggle since just aim won’t get you anywhere. You might have the best aim in the game, but pretty much everyone else has the same aim. So now it’s all about positioning and actually thinking about your moves. I’ve seen so many throw for no reason. As an example, Yesterday I was playing in Olympus with three teams left in oasis. Two teams in buildings, one team by bridge. Bridge team was going to win just by holding the spot. They krabered my teammate and they all pushed us. The other team takes their spot, we trade and I end up wiping the last guy of the team. The other team wins without doing anything since it was a 3 v 1 last ring closing and I had to drop from building into them. But yeah that’s one example of how dumb people are in plat lol. Like I said that team just had to stay where they were. How the ring was closing, we were going to have to fight the other building team and they would end up winning if they just waited to third but instead they got horny over a kraber knock and they still ended up getting third. Lol
@@markmuller7962 its literally the opposite. u need more kp the higher u get so fighting is way more important than actual macro positioning/rotating. u get nothing till like 5th place with no kp so its basically useless to take the winning spot until round 3/4

Ive played this game on and off for almost 1000hrs now and one of my biggest pet peeves is people playing extremely passive and scared in ranked. People just need to understand, the best way to get loot quick is to take it off peoples bodies, not crouch walking around the perimeter of the map hording ever last ammo box and shield bat you find. You need to take fights to be successful.
to clarify, i mean smart fights, not just apeing anything that moves.
What’s the highest rank you ever made? And season 17 doesn’t count so don’t say masters LOL

Honestly what’s help me is always running a support legend my rule is if 2 people get knocked go craft banner no matter what i swear that helps out so much
This is huge - especially in pre-plat where people over extend constantly
Pre plat that works but once you’re in plat it’ll be really hard to craft and respawn. Also, I’d say you’re better off being loba as a support legend. It’s easier to get away. I wouldn’t necessarily say play any support legend. In most scenarios, you can’t get away with the other support legends.
I use Crypto for that purpose, info gathering and I can grab banners with my drone

I dont think plat is necessarily the hardest rank, but from my experience it feels like the most unpredictable due to it being the middle ground between bad and decent players. From what I've played in diamond, most of the players are pretty good and aren't as likely to throw your game by doing something so stupid its unpredictable

I'm dogshit at this game. I can't improve grinding for 430+ hours of game time. Bruh You won't believe me I have 1.82k Matches and 72 Wins with 3.92% win rate.
I came back to apex after quitting in season 18, and have been able to rat to gold both splits, not giving plat a try lmao.
I just got to gold for the first time im currently gold 3. What I struggle with is micro decision making and rotates. I don’t know if a decision I make it good or bad hopefully I improve my game sense to get to plat

If you can land shots with every gun comfortably without needing attachments, I would say that there is pretty above average. I legit spoke to someone doing scrims last night who did not know the recoil pattern of a R301 and also did not feel comfortable using the flatline.

Stuck in d3. Maybe if we stop running into cheaters so often I’ll climb.
Instead of “see ordinance through walls/see bat count on deathbox” and other non legend-specific perks, I’d like to see each legend get their own unique set of perk options for each upgrade. Thereby giving players an incentive to master that legend in order to use those unique perks more often and creatively. :)
Some legends already have really great unique perks, and i’d just love to see that more consistently across the roster. ❤

One thing is getting some KP another thing is having 99% of randoms playing ranked exactly in the same way they play pubs aka zero brain cells involved

Definitely can get diamond,if you gain consistently even in solo q then it’s doable

A mix, having decent aim but also able to time your slide jumps and move. I know it sounds silly, but even knowing where to climb. I seen some master players struggle with climbing and it cost them fights. Doesn't mean needing to tap strafe into every fight, but having a strong foundation to be there for your squad and position well.
Even VOD reviewed last night where someone failed to climb a one of those bus like cars in world's edge outside the west of Big Mod and cost them a fight. Its the simple things, but its the fundamentals.

It's not that I don't wanna rank up. It's that it's unecessarily hard to do so now. The game these days is, get so gud or be the worst of players and there's no inbetween.
Back then you can do half the game with only fists and me and my friends would have a blast. We lose, but we had fun. Nowadays you'd consider it a win if you can win the fight with even the first enemy squad you see. The rest feels like fighting a SWAT team. And don't get me started on the cheaters, two games in a row man in a ranked game, c'mon..
Not sure if you are new to the game or something but this is the exact replica of the ranked system that was in apex for its first 2 years.
Should you follow teammates when they make a stupid play?
The play can work, they are meat shields and capitalize on their mistakes and the fact they are the focus. Its a dumb play, but it honestly works a ton lol. Especially if you take an angle.

For me in this season, on platinum rank 7/10 games the random teammates just hot drop and scream at the mic 😅
Also i have met that 1 “rat” team mate who lands solo and knew all the rat spots yet they still had -rp 😂
I think apex rank is actually dying at least on the solo side if you have a party or cracked at the game then i guess you’re good(?)

@@BarnOwl-cg1ls man zens been banned on console (Xbox and ps5) for some time now. I’ve been pred and am d3 right now. Not one cheater in sight. Just accept the fact some people are just better. The only cheating on console right now is 6 and 9 manning. They’re losers, definitely and so are xim and zen users but I wouldn’t let that deter me from playing. It’s just better when you do kill the bots in a gun fight. You can have a job and still be good at video games. You can also be jobless and be trash.
I don't really care that much about ranking but I like the pace of match ranked vs pubs. I play for fun, chase kills and dmg, wins are nice but not that important to me. 90% of the time I solo queue, currently at plat4 and don't expect to get much higher.
Its going to be difficult for most to get past Platinum 4 playing solo so your not alone.
