- Surrender is a scary word...if we truly surrender our lives to God, what might He ask us to give up? What if He asks you to live a story that isn't anything like the one you've imagined for your life? Are we willing to surrender the pen and give Him the story?
In this video, we'll be talking about what it ACTUALLY means to live a life surrendered to Christ, and looking at what a life surrendered looks like by studying an example given to us in Scripture through the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I hope you enjoy!

This is so hard, especially if life is not going according to plan or we're going through suffering and pain and there's no guarantee it's gonna be better. This is such an obvious, well known part of scripture, but so deep and important. Thank you for bringing this topic!

I'm used to not getting what I want and watching others get it instead. Im used to being ignored, rejected, overlooked and forgotten. My hearts desires never mattered and they never will. It is what it is.
I felt the same way for a long time - and I had a lot of anger and resentment because of it; sometimes I still feel those ways.
But if we call ourselves believers, then I had to admit to myself that this could have been God's divine protection over me, that the way that seemed right to me, could have led to death and destruction for me - just all sorts of things; also, don't forget Job's story, and look at all the ways that God is sustaining you.
Hi Kaci, I’ve been struggling with “surrendering “ a bad habit. I know I know I know God has convicted me of this and to give it up, yet fighting with self to do so. Oh to humble myself and put God completely first!!
The Story of Mary is a fav. Yet never have I truly thought of it as such. So thank you 🙏 for opening my eyes more spiritually at Surrendering To God. As He is Better than anything and or anyone. Im in Matthew studying and can’t wait to get thru to Luke. On Xmas,I won’t be alone; The Holy Spirit is right here with me and I love reading Luke 2 also. I don't have a scripture I focus on during Christmas, but the importance and hope of the promise God gave through Jesus. I can only imagine the hope and joy people had when they realized the Messiah finally came to take away the sin of the world, the atonement!! Our redemption!! What a glorious hope!!
Edit: And for Mary to play that role, is such an honor!! May we always know what an honor it is that out of His mercy and grace, He chose us to be HIS!! I can't fathom the love He has for us, but it's absolutely beautiful. God is beautiful. ♥️🙌

Seems like only a select few knew the real purpose of the messiah - most of those people seemed to be expecting a worldly, conquering king, not a heavenly conquering king, and so they despised and rejected Him.

I’ve already dealt with not getting into the career I dreamed of. Everything Gid has set before me has been “settling” even if it may be His will. To have to give up the dream of a spouse and kids for the livelihood of isolation because people are too busy and an empty home with no pets because you’re the one out of all your family that’s allergic…God’s “perfect will,” is downright sad and still “less.” Yet seek ye first, to a Holy Ghost spirit, and that is supposed to replace human interaction…

This is something that has always been hard for me. People say "God first" but I don't know how or don't think I can do that. I wasn't raised in religion.. my family has always been first. My husband and I have 5 kids and I just don't know how to say "God first, family second" ...
Yes, but Christ said whoever does not hate mother, father, son, daughter etc. is not worthy of Him - love for family has to pale in comparison to love for Christ, such that it seems like hate - plus if we don't surrender our complete lives and selves to Him, the ONLY alternative is hell.
I googled Female Christian CZcamsrs to follow and Kaci Nicole was no 4 so I've subscribed. I shall be back to watch some videos. God bless.
Thank you for this video, Kaci. 2022 was the year I took my faith into my own and built a relationship with God thats stronger than I ever had before.
Sacrifice has been something I have been struggling with. I have been praying for the desires of my heart (one specific one) and its been clear that God is saying “no”. The biggest challenge is letting go of the story that I thought would be perfect, and instead allowing the actual creator of perfection write the story. Letting go is hard, but I know it will be worth it.

What if it’s worse than the things you listed? What if he makes us do things, experience things we don’t want to?
I don't know what exactly what you are coming from...
But I do know God will not make us do "bad" things. We have free will... and we need to have discernment if it is from God or not.
There will be times that feel or look hard, difficult, or trials but He will bring it for our good and His glory! I can testify that I have never been disappointed following the Lord in difficult times, even when I couldn't understand it at the moment! Never is His ways worse for us, friend!!
He knows us better than we know ourselves (psalm 139), and He knows what we can handle and need to become more like Christ! He has abundantly more than we can ask or imagine!
He loves us and He will give us strength in times that are difficult! I know for me reading the bible on specific things like this, gives us an answer of who our God is and His heart for us! I hope that this encourages you !!
@@bridgetteberberich3204 I just meant what if the calling he wants us to do is something we don’t want to do. Whether that be a job, where you live, or having kids. That type of stuff. Or what if marriage isint in the cards and your destined to be alone forever? You just never know what he’ll have you do or where you’ll go.
Yes, this is the hard part about surrendering. But don't forget that God gives you unique calling which matches your personality, talent and skills, so if you give your life to him there can be hardships, but also many good things and gifts.
Hello, I am new to Christianity and I am reading the bible for the first time ever... I always believed in God and Jesus and I always had loving feelings for them, but I am not OVERWHELMED with love for them... That makes me sad... I want to love God as much as I know he loves me, but for some reason I just don't feel it... I am VERY appreciative and grateful... I thank him everyday for my many blessings... I also fear God, and the enemy as well. However I do admit I do struggle saying something like I FULLY SURRENDER TO YOU MY GOD...
It is not so much feeling, God's word says that those who keep His commandments are the ones who love Him.
But you are newly introduced to the Lord, as you talk to the Lord in prayer (and yes, it can be conversational but respectful) and keep reading His word, your affection will grow; but you do have to surrender your life to Him, I've followed the Lord for years and am just now asking the person of the Holy Spirit to help me in surrendering my life and my sexual immorality, lust, etc.
Also, Christ said "my Father and I are one," so, like first John chapter 5 and verse 7 says: the Father, the Word (Christ), and the Holy Spirit are ONE - so it is the three persons of the one,
The three persons of the ONE, most high God.
