Today I bought my deep purple calla lilies for the first time. And I don't know how to look after them. But I'm glad your CZcams video is "transparent" about plants, saying you don't know everything. Cheers to the "chic" plant lady!
Thank you! Green Luck to you with your new plant. May it grow happy and healthy! 🌱
Thank you very much! Love the plant and the video 🌸🌸🌸
Hi, Laura.
Thank you for watching!
I am dying for those frame plants!!! wow!!!
My faves! Thank you for watching! 🌱
Thank you for making this video. I bought an indoor plant for the first time in my life a few months ago. I'm 75. It's a calla lily, so this video will really help me to see the proper way to replant it. Wish me luck!
Congratulations!!!! Green Luck, and lots of blooms! 🌱
Since you just began your plant journey here is the video about 10 easiest plants to grow:
czcams.com/video/xrmaj6a39A4/video.html
Keep learning at 75, don't stop. I'm 80 and going strong by learning new things. Juliette posted a video on Bird of Paradise plants and I followed the instructions. Now, a big difference with the plant I have, it looks great. And, I had fun learning and changing at 80!
I followed to the end and did my repotting . Thank you very much
Woohoo! May your plant grow happy and healthy!
Thank you for watching 🌱
I really enjoyed your video on how to replant the Calla Lily. I don't have a green thumb, but you make it look so easy. I am gonna try it .
Hi Alisa,
Glad it was helpful!
Green Luck!
May your Calla Lily grow happy and healthy! 🌱
Your Calla-Lily now is going to go dormant. The flowering is the las phase of the growth. Now it is going to have a time of rest. Store it cool and dry until spring and then pot it again. Keep it not to moist at the beginning. It need to be kept in open air, part shade. No hot afternoon sun.
Thank you, Christian! 🌱
I like your video very honest.
Thank you for watching 🌱

Hi Habib,
Green Luck to you & Thank you for watching 🌱
Thank you SO much for this video! Your video solved a depressing / frustrating issue I’ve experienced with Two Calla Lilies purchased from local supermarket. The ‘wrapper’ + over fertilisation to accelerate blooming explained why, within 2weeks the plant started to drop, leaves turned yellow - and suddenly started collapsing in soggy mess.
As I use a moisture meter, I couldn’t u’stand the basal collapse, soggy roots - until I viewed your video. When I removed the ‘diaper pot’, 😱 + massive long roots. It looked exactly like your struggling plant when you removed it from its pot! Thanks so much! I’m hoping following the steps you took will save this plant as I love calla lilies. 🙏🏾
Hi Adrienne,
I hope your plant is recovering and will thrive under your passionate care.
Thank you for watching! 🌱
@@Mycityplants Hi Juliette. I couldn’t save the previous two I mentioned. But, after your video. I immediately repotted the newest / 3rd plant - and so far, it’s been great! A couple of baby leaf blooms died off, probably due to transplant shock & acclimation. But aside from that, I haven’t had any issues. So far, so good! 🤞🏾 Thanks again. ☀️
Woohoo! Great! 🌿
Thank you. Very informative. I am repotting my calla lillies also. Can you post an update on how the lillies are doing? Did more sunlight work?
Hello Crystal,
Unfortunately, this plant did not make it, even with all my extra efforts and care :(
Plants are like us, some have healthy and strong base and others just weak; some are fighters and some are not.😀
Also, it has a lot to do with how they were grown before they got to us, which fertilizers were used, etc.
Same plant type, in the same spot, under the same care, etc. might behave differently. One will thrive and another will not. It happens and it’s ok!
How is your Calla?
@@Mycityplants Hi, mine is better. over 8 weeks, the old leaves are standing and we get a few new ones every couple weeks. only 1 tiny flower started to bloom but it stayed mostly green. i mist it and keep it watered. i tried moving it a little closer to sunlight although still 8 feet away from the window (we get lots of light). it's a beautiful plant but i'm patiently waiting for flowers to come back.
I am happy your plant is doing well! Jealous a bit 😀😀😀
Your blooms are turning into seed pods
Nature is amazing!! 🌱
Love your pots but I can't afford them. I have over 400 plants and it would not be economical to buy them. Could you do more videos with regular planters?
Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for watching.💚
Wow! Sounds like you have a very green home. 🌱🌱🌱
More videos about plant care (no matter what kind of pot) are coming soon.
Stay tuned 😀
Hello, the plants in the back are they real? if so, what pot are you using to hang them like that.
Hi!
Thank you for watching our videos 🌱
Yes, these are real plants. They are arranged in the wall frame.
Here is the link to some wall display options: amzn.to/3K8XmFz
Green Cheers!
Also this plant can take & loves full sun. Likes to stay moist, dont let it dry out, about twice weekly. Likes the soil more on the acidic side. Maybe you have too much nitrogen in the soil
Hi Leann,
Thank you for tips 🌱
Thanks for the video! But what was the result? Did it work?
Hi Alvaro,
Thank you for watching 🌱
Sadly, I was not able to make this plant happy :(
It happens even to the best of us 😀

@@Mycityplants it does happen... to me all the time 😂 I reckon it'd be fun if you made videos with fails. Take care and keep posting!
Hi! My calla lily buds are green like yours, and they're supposedly yellow. How do I make their colors more vibrant and not green?
Hi Chezka,
Green is often the result of low light situations or natural life cycle of blooms (they turn green before they go).
It can also arise from excess nitrogen. High levels of nitrogen can cause green Calla Lily flowers.
Thank you for watching! 🌱
@@Mycityplants thank you so much!
You are welcome! 🌱

😀 Thank you for watching! 🌱
Remember they are quite toxic as well. Keep away from pets & children
Thank you for watching and your tip, Shanna 🌱
I don't like the way you grab you lily the are very delicate you should be more gentle or learn more about a plant before you buy one.
Hi Magaly,
Thank you for watching.
Yes, great advise - "learn more about plants before you buy one". 👍
P.S. My experienced (20+ years) hands are firm but very gentle :)
Get to the point already. Boring!
I don’t want to hear what you googled.
