The reason why this wasn't working for me was because v-sync was turned on somehow therefore not letting my fps drop to 30 like it should so if you having a problem make sure your vsync is off.

Did everything still doesnt work for me and v sync is off too the fps never drops and i just jump after my climb :(

Also, I'd recommend using capslock w/ your pinky finger to initiate the sequence. Allows you to strafe leftward with your ring finger.
since i have auto-run on i moved my crouch to "shift"

I don't normally leave a comment on these videos but thank you for the help man. I switched from console to pc about 6 months back and have been slowly learning these new movement techs and this one I really struggled with. I had to drop it on and off until tonight, I've managed to hit these superglides consecutively one after another. It took a bit of tweaking to get my settings working right but it really is all about timing. Almost gave up but if you can manage to pull the scroll wheel back at a fast speed right at the apex of the climb it works.

So ive done the following steps and wanted to change the bind to space but its till V and scrollwheel up lowers my frames and jumps while scrollwheel down just makes me jump and i have no binds on my mouse to interfere with the config

if your fps drop when using spacebar even if u didnt bind it in the folder, u gotta bind spacebar to jump in the settings of the game

I'm one of those weirdos who inverts the classic tap strafe- mouse wheel binds and my jump is MWHEEL UP and my w key is MWHEEL DOWN, and I followed this video to the T and it doesn't work. Is it because of my binds and can i rebind to compensate?

Hi, great video by the way ive just come from your neostrafing tutorial. I had to change my launch options from +exec autoexec to +exec neo_strafe1.cfg and now my neostrafe works. I was wondering how to add the same thing for supergliding as the +exec autoexec doesnt work for my neostrafe or superglide. Would i just have +exec neo_strafe1.cfg, superglide1.cfg? Basically im just wondering how to write it in the launch options.

can i get some help its not working for me, i dont know if its because of my binds or what, i have tap strafe on scroll wheel down, and jump on scroll wheel up. Also when i dragged the superglide files over it didnt come out of the folder did i drag the wrong one?
if i want to change from mwheeldown to mwheelup to do this， and my ts is bind to mwheelup， will i be able to ts during superglide （i think to do this i have to input mwheelup forward 0 in the first cfg）？
For those who are wondering why the fps does not drop to 30: I had the same situation so I would just use space to climb and make sure to scroll my wheel down all the way at the apex of your climb motion (I mean literally scroll it down) and you will superglide. My FPS didn't drop but I was still able to superglide pretty consistently. It is okay if you miss a few ones, just keep practicing.
What if you gage 240 fps does it have to be set 144 🤦🏽♂️

its because of vsync, make sure you disable it completely trough nvidia control panel

does the files have to be ready only, and does fps unlock in launch options mess with the superglide
it worked for the first 10 minutes then when i tried to scroll wheel down, it has just flung me backwards every single time. tried restarting game. doubt ill get help but help?

idk why but everything i try just won't work, i didn't get to the point where my key makes me jump and i watched like 10 guides copy and pasted like hell. Just nothing works, FPS wont get capped (VSync off) my character wont jump (if as there wasnt any cfg's or changes at all)

Sooo I got it to work the first time to get it to drop down to 30fps after i would scroll wheel but It visually erased my jump keys in keybinds so I fucked it up somehow by re putting it in. Ive erased all the cfg files and erased the start up code and now cant get it to work at all. Any idea on how to erase everything and start from scratch I'm brand new to apex level 3 so literally everything can be erased. Plz halpppp

Man, if you can read this still, It still works. I followed all of it and in my launch options (Steam) I just used +exec superglide1.cfg I can even tap strafe super glide. All the best.

When I loaded in the game none of my binds changed and when I changed them to what there supposed to do it didn’t drop
hey so what do you mean by initiate the climb you mean just walk into the wall or do I have to hit a certain button
So. Say your bind is set to V. (I believe it is by default). You would initiate a climb by pressing this button. It would act as a jump button. Does this clear it up?

@Bloo Baroo even with vsync turned off and literally all my graphics settings down I cant get my game to run at a specific fps even when I choose to run my fps at a flat 60 it will still run higher then that .... help please ?

amazing video and i appreciate it, but when i try and play pathfinder it cancels my zip tactical because of the jump and crouch sequence is there anyway to fix that? because i can still zip i just have to do mwheeldown before i zip

tbh just get used to using mwheeldown to zip. that should fix it.

im quite stuck cus i use mouse wheel down to climb the wall then i use c + space to superglide and im still confused on how i should bind them in the files ( where should i put c space and scroll wheel down inside the files)

the scroll wheel does all th0ose invputs for you
so bind secondary jump too scrool wheel

This video is amazing. Up until the Season 14 update, it worked perfectly. I decided to revisit this and reset the launch options/cfg and now, (1) I don't have access as User to save file edits, and (2) if I try editing the cfg my game crashes at the black loading screen until I restart my pc. I don't expect help and any would be greatly appreciated!
Hmmm I'm not entirely sure due to it still working for me. Try verifying the integrity of your game files on steam.

if you are following this video as a guide. he makes a mistake at 4 mins 12 seconds. you dont type "+exec superglide1.cfg".... the correct command is "exec superglide1.cfg" .... remove the +.
