I've been a huge fan of Journey since my high school days in the late 70s but i fell away later in years. I'm a little late to the party as I wasn't following the changes with Steve and now Arnel. In fact I literally just found the re-recorded songs with Arnel and was truly blown away by his vocal chops. Now, watching this and other videos, it's crystal clear why they chose him as their front man: his energy, charisma, and outstanding vocal quality and range put him in a league of his own. Literal chills while watching this video today. I'm also in awe to see a classic American band have an Asian fronting for them. This is just beyond words for me. Much love. Must respect.

It seems that the sound system in Manila was of very superior quality-- I have noticed that.. The Live Concert in Manila was truly sensational !! Singing " Open Arms " gave me goosebumps !! Wonderfully executed-- AP sure rocks --and the crowd rocks with him--BIG TIME! He commands the stage with his presence !! Journey songs are hard to sing, singing high notes again and again!! AP got that awesome natural rasp when he sings ballad songs, it's full of passion and emotion, and it's mesmerizing !! !! Journey has the best instrumental musicians and perfect backing voice to complement AP !! Really iconic !! I have experienced watching Journey with AP on LIVE Concerts many times and it was an incredible experience each time! Watching Journey LIVE Concert is such a treat--- for those who have NOT done it, Try it ! This is also the soundboard audio, so it’s always gonna sound better than any live recording you’d see, unless it’s also using the soundboard audio. Arnel Pineda has mastered all the Journey songs ever since he was at the age of 16, try to watch all his videos, that's why when Neil Schon saw his videos performing live with a band, in just one flick of a finger HE PASSED THE AUDITION! no ifs and no buts! Man, my daddy was a lifelong journey fan. In the year before he died he watched their concert with Arnel on DVD alot. He knew he didn't have much time and due to a severe heart attack that led to him losing so much of his memory, I always wondered how much he actually remembered. But I knew when he watched the music and videos he loved, he still was there. He was so impressed with Arnel and I guess I never paid much attention. He really is amazing. This song in particular has been a huge part of my life since I was maybe 5. It will never not make me cry 😭

I seen them do this song, and this kid rocked it big time. There was no replacement for Steve Perry and journey, but this kid almost had it down 100%. He was amazing.

You’re at the top of your abilities here. I saw you drink our local “salabat” before every performance, it never worked for me. Causes my voice to go hoarse fast. I don’t know if you’ve heard of Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa? You can get it from your local asian store, take it the night before your shows and after every shows and just hydrate with water a lot, it works wonders and more gentle on the vocal cords.

Man, my daddy was a lifelong journey fan. In the year before he died he watched their concert with Arnel on DVD alot. He knew he didn't have much time and due to a severe heart attack that led to him losing so much of his memory, I always wondered how much he actually remembered. But I knew when he watched the music and videos he loved, he still was there. He was so impressed with Arnel and I guess I never paid much attention. He really is amazing. This song in particular has been a huge part of my life since I was maybe 5. It will never not make me cry 😭

Arnel Pineda has been my favorite since I was in my early 20's and I'm so happy learning that he would be the lead vocalist of an iconic band-Journey, I really love their songs! I watched all his videos with the Zoo band performing live at the Hard Rock Cafe (and I love his long hairstyle that time, he was so handsome)

Every time i hear Journey's songs im having goosebumps and it brings tears in my eyes.
I seen them do this song, and this kid rocked it big time. There was no replacement for Steve Perry and journey, but this kid almost had it down 100%. He was amazing.

You’re at the top of your abilities here. I saw you drink our local “salabat” before every performance, it never worked for me. Causes my voice to go hoarse fast. I don’t know if you’ve heard of Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa? You can get it from your local asian store, take it the night before your shows and after every shows and just hydrate with water a lot, it works wonders and more gentle on the vocal cords.
