im a programmer and thought a smart house was cool but realized it was way too invasive , I'm even thinking of ditching my smart phone. my house is old skool, just locks and hand written reminders. I don't use any of the tech I code about 😅

Think about when you're not paying attention to someone and they say your name, then you focus in on what they're saying and actually listen. It's pretty cool what we've made computers able to do, but don't worry they're not scary and remembering everything you say.

We’ve got two google homes but we pretty much only use them to play brown noise while we sleep or stream our local classical music station. I’d honestly love one more to play music in our play room 😅 Lately, my toddler’s favorite pass time has been asking it to play different animal noises.

I laugh. But it is scary. Once my friend and I were driving and Alexa kept interrupting us, so I told it to stop interrupting. I swear it let out a sigh and explained very patiently that it listened to make sure we did not need anything and to give us more precise help when we needed it. We laughed but that was creepy.
This is so very accurate. And she's completely right. If you try to expose anything, it IS seen as paranoia & conspiracy. The world DOESN'T care. They refuse to see what is being done to them.
