HOW TO FILL OUT ENTRY FORMS TO JAPAN

- Hi everyone! If you are coming to Japan you will be given two forms to fill out. This video will explain how to fill them out.
If you are entering Japan as a tourist and will be staying at multiple hotels, you may have to list the hotels on the entry form.

If you filled everything out on visit Japan web do you still have to fill out the 2nd sheet?
Yes you need to have a hardcopy with you when you enter Japan for the first time.
Curious how does this work if you are military coming to Japan because you will be stationed here?
Everyone has to fill it out. You may have your shown additional papers that state you will be stationed in Japan. This is my opinion.
I plan to bring my Nintendo switch and phone. Do these have to be declared on the forms? I don’t plan to sell them it’s for my own personal use, and do I have to declare my medications?
No you don’t have to declare your Nintendo switch and phone. Just remember to put them in with your carryon luggage because they contain lithium batteries so they need to be scanned. I am not sure about the type of medication you are bringing. Over the counter medication is fine as along as you aren’t bring loads into the country. If it’s prescribed, I would put it with the carryon and make sure it has your name on it.

What happened if you don’t know where you would stay when you come to Japan?
You might have a problem if you do not have a place to stay! Write down the name of a hotel.

if I bring like 5000 usd and say my dad also brings 5000 usd with him, and we come together on the same plane, do we check the 1 million yen thing or not ?
No need! Each person can declare up to 10,000 USD. Since you are below that threshold you do not need to say anything!
Planning to stay Japan for 1 week only is this required?
Yes and a valid passport of course

What if you are staying in multiple hotels whilst visiting?
Do you need to write all of them or just the first one you are arriving at?
Good question! I would rate the first hotel. If immigration questions you about your stay, you can tell them that you were going to stay at several hotels.
