I dont remember the Mechanist quest but I remember him. Maybe I did his quest in FO3?

The Mechanist was fighting the AntAgonizer for control of some town IIRC

I killed the mechanist in Fallout 3 , him and the Ant Queen

Totally remember doing that... although I liked that story a little better than this one :)
