Special thank you to Ride the Glide for lending me the scooters for today's test! - Jak na to + styl
Chose my cruiser over the Zero's specifically because of the range, ipx7 water resistance, tubeless tires, and keyed ignition. They were such huge differentiators for me I really couldn't justify otherwise. The Zero's lighting is so cool but in the end the other factors weighed much more heavily for me. After watching your video I'm really glad I made my choice. There were like no zero 10 reviews out there when I was deciding. Keep doing what you're doing man...great stuff!
oh that's right the IPX7 rating is clutch :) I forgot about that..also the handlebars are more secure with the Emove Cruiser...my Zero 9's are always getting loose. Safe rides :)
@@TimsElectric Yah well my set screws jiggle loose a hair too after a long bumpy ride but ehhh... I just tighten them
nice :)
Thanks man, I think what you said here has pushed me towards the Emove. I couldnt really decide. Im not for speed but for comfort. Cheers man.
@@whoanelly- sweet! Hey man there's a lot out there now to choose from... Checkout the vsetts, OMG and the DTen crazy... For a comfy cruising scooter with crazy ass range I think the cruiser is hard to beat tho. Cheers! Oh but I just remembered the brand new cruisers just got more powerful motors in 2021 and it'll do a legit 30mph now according to Voro 🤩
Hi Tim, thanks for the review. I bought the EMove Cruiser earlier this year in Ottawa. My only regret was not buying two! The new 2020 models now have the same controller as the Zero and some other cosmetic improvements. I'd like to see Voro do something with the stem in the next version as I feel it could be made more stable. Anyway, I'll be picking up another one over the winter. Would love to take it out to Victoria next time I'm out that way.
awesome to hear Jeff...love the Cruiser....I saw a brand new trail in Tofino that the Cruiser would eat up! It goes from Tofino through the national park ...smooth and away form the road...could be epic :)
Love your videos! Us big guys need separate and honest reviews from one of our own... +1
Cheers Chris! appreciate the support :)
You did it again, Tim. Excellent review. I think I will stick to your recommendation, I would go for the cruiser. It seems to be built as a commuter scoot for the big cities. By the way, nice scenery where you shot your review!
Cheers Marcial :) love where I live here on the island :) If the budget allows I might upgrade from my Zero 9 :)
@@TimsElectric man I came inches close to buying a ZERO 9... I'm so glad I got the Cruiser instead. Did you know the new 2021 cruisers will do a solid 30mph now? Personally I like the swing arm suspensions on the vsetts and other titan clones and some of them vsetts are single motor and prob look and perform better than the cruiser now (not sure - I haven't compared specs) but I still don't think they can match the range and water rating the cruiser has.
@@jediradekcrif9568 The cruiser is awesome ;) love the range and build quality :)
@@TimsElectric Tim I finally started uploading some ride footage on my Instagram...checkit out! It's a little different from yours tho 🤣
Awesome video! You were super detailed
Glad you liked it! Sarah!
Nice location. Nice review. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too Nicco!
This helped. Thanks 👍
@RDK that's awesome to hear :)
Good video. Always good to see how scooters respond to big dogs as I find the right one for me.
Cheers Michael...I have some big guy reviews on a bunch of scooters...which one are you looking at for yourself?
I bought my scooter from a company in Vancouver, I live in New Brunswick, but i bought one from Urban Machina. I have the Evolv Pro, which I guess is basically the same as the ZeroX10, I have the 52volt, and 18.2 ah battery. I like the scooter, no really big complaints, but i think this winter, i will probably order something a little bigger from China, maybe Wolf Warrior or something along those lines. Anyway Ive never seen a review on Urban Machina, or the Evolv Pro, just a suggestion, great vids.
Cheers Todd...great idea...love the Zero10X...I'm going to be doing a range test on the 10X Ltd later this week :)
I haven't seen the Urban Machina or Evolv Pro...,.but will check into it :)
Wolf Warrior II is sweet...did you see my head to head video?

you should review Apollo scooters. They're a canadian company. Same models are the Zero's but with modifications to some components.
Thanks Esteban, I did reach out to @Apollo Scooters hope to hear from the fellow Canadians soon :)
Thanks for your be thoughts.
My pleasure Eric!
Subscribed, cheers
Thanks so much Zachery! :)
i have the ZERO 10 - it is awsome! i get up to 32MPH on it, but I am only 91/2 stone.. great buy during the lockdown as I use it to go shopping and for fun around the Park! The lights are brilliant in the dark, the acceleration is scary, and the brakes are good..I can go on the grass when going past people on the path with o worries..One thing that is missing is a key to turn it on/off for security, I got a handle installed on the back so I can lift it through my door as is bloody heavey!!!! Here from the UK!
Terrific Carl!!! Glad you're enjoying it :) what a hoot...cheers from Canada :)
I have the Apollo Explore - What type of handle did you install, can you share a photo?
Hey Tim,great job on the reviews, could you tell me what the difference is between the emove cruiser and the touring and which one you prefered...many thanks, steve 🇬🇧
that's a really good idea for a video....2021 for sure :) But quickly, the Touring is smaller, much slower, smaller battery but similar in build quality and it's lighter...the Cruiser is more comfortable, goes up hills more easily and the range is astonishing :)
@@TimsElectric thanks a lot👍
you're welcome :)
Timothy do you have any problems with the emove cruiser handlebars coming loose?
none at all...in fact I love them in comparison to my Zero 9 for example...which always seem loose :)
Tim thanks for pointing me to the Emove Cruiser, have you had a chance to try the Cruiser S?
Awesome @ChrisGraceComedy, I haven't but the changes were modest...I believe it has a more powerful motor and some other improvements...would love to one day :)
Perfect soundtrack
Thank you Red
I'm thinking about picking up the 10x limited. Did you dislike the feel of the battery mounted to the front? Thats really my only concern.
not at all...I'm going to be doing a range test on it later this week...but I didn't find it an issue for weight distribution etc at all ...totally awesome machine :) I'm going to be doing a Zero 11 vs 11 ltd soon :)
These two are on my short list. I cant decide. The Zero/Apollo is a bit cheaper with the 1000W motor vs the 600W on the emove. But I think I like the fact that the emove is tubeless. Any thoughts?
Hi Nelson, it comes down to use vs need....I think a flow chart would probably help :)
Let's see...can you let me know the primary use of the scooter in distance and frequency?
then how big are you?
and where you live, is it hilly or flat with the occasional hill?
I have had a liking for the Emove Cruiser for quite a while now. (And that is the one I would choose)... I'm curious to see if my Dualton Mini would make it up that hill ? Being only 57 kg, I believe I would make it. Also, one of the main selling points of the Cruiser, is it's waterproof rating. (Which you failed to mention). 🤔 🤔 🤔
Good choice! The water rating is awesome :) check out my review of the Cruiser.....and range test too...I think I mentioned it in those...hope so anyway :)
From watching the reviews of this video & others on the Emove Cruiser, i think it's ideal if the manufacturers put in dual motors with 1200W and increase the volts & amps to compensate for the increase in consumption. When driving on flat ground use the rear motor and when climbing hills, a flick of a switch to activate dual motors even if the battery should be increased in size a little bit. The little extra weight wouldn't be an objective
Great point Russ!
You need to have a look at the speedway 5. It’s basically what you are describing.
Great reviews. How do you find build quality of zero scooters?
Good question...I'm happy with my Zero 9...here's a 1000km review I did...
Zero 9 Electric Scooter Review - 1000 Kms - Zero 9 Review

solid engineering....a few things I like with other brands but solid machine :)
Cheers and thanks for watching :)
Does the e-move have split rim? The zero10 has and it makes a huge difference when changing tyre's. How often do you need the range of 50+ km's? I opted for the zero10 and after 500km's of riding Im very pleased with my choice 🙂
Tommy, that's a great question. I didn't get to keep the Cruiser or Zero 10 so I haven't tried changing a tire on the Cruiser sorry :(
I do recall that the Cruiser doesn't have an inner tube which should help significantly :)
Waiting for my zero 10 to come in, how is the power and acceleration compared to the zero 9?
great question...bigger battery means more range with the same volts....bit quicker on hills and has a higher top speed...terrific scooter :)
I did a review here: czcams.com/video/7X__rwIO9KA/video.html
awhile ago now :)
on the zero 10....does the neck jiggle like most scooters or is it pretty solid?
solid :)
Great comparison video, can we share this please? 😄
Absolutely @Voromotors ....an honour :) Cheers from the Island :)
@Voromotors I feel like a missed a few items, the handle bars being super comfortable and sturdy....will be doing a range test this Wednesday and will fill in the gaps.
Also in case you're interested I did another video of the Cruiser here: czcams.com/video/g6JWKhZ_gZ8/video.html
Always welcome to share my videos

I want to buy a scooter because i have Psoriasis on my feet, and walking is difficult. Can the 10 go at a walking pace comfortably, since I want to be with my wife who walks with our dog? I also want to go on nature trails as well, gravel, sticks, grass etc. Speed is not an issue, because i'll hardly ever use that, but suspension definitely is essential. I'm lookin at the 10x as well. Do you think the 10 or 10x covers these bases?
Hi Peter, terrific question...your friend on the walks will be cruise control...set it once on the controller and every time you're on a paced walk your scooter will automatically lock in at the speed you set after about 10 seconds with a Zero 10 or 10x or similar scooter (Varla, Apollo etc.). As to which one...the 10x is going to be better on the trails, mud, sticks, grass as it's two wheel drive and super powerful....again you can adjust the settings default to accelerate like a lunatic or slowly. ...I imagine you would just put it in gear 1 after a one time setup of the controller (cruise control and acceleration) which is easy to do and takes a few seconds. :) Hope that helps :)
Very good Quality .
Glad you like it!
Emove scooters I totally agree very smooth ride / not the best in hill climber but does the job for 10-20 / steep hills
To get / better power dual motor probably will work better 600x2 I’m 55
These are fun riding smooth scooters
they are a hoot Maky :)
Really like to see you compare the Cruiser 1000W motor to this 1000W Zero 10. Comparing a 600W to a 1000W motor sounds like a child is competing against an adult. In saying that considering the smaller motor got you to the same part of the hill the bigger motor did is impressive. I'd be curious if the newer motor would get you all the way up. Super interested in the Cruiser. I work night shift so the blinkers are a nice safety idea, did you ever use them that day other than the alley show and tell? Wondering if I'd realistically use them.
awesome points...I didn't realize that there was a 1000W version of the Cruiser …if I can get one to review I think a comparison with the 600W and Zero 10 would be terrific :) However I don't recall any single motor scooter making it up the hill of death...might borrow the Zero 10 and see if it makes it up though as I don't think I checked that one :) As to indicators I saw a cool way of indicating yesterday on my trip with the Ride the Glide team...they stick their legs out and so they don't have to take their hands of the steering wheel...kinda of cool and unique but it works :)
Do you have a link for the tires you got for the zero10 ?
Hi Jeff,
I get all my tires from the manufacturer or often from Ride the Glide here in Victoria BC :)
I've been on the fence with the Emov Cruiser vs the Emov Touring. If I can figure out how to get obviously heavy ebikes up my stairs I'd go with them for comfort. But I'm also about value. The Cruiser seems like the best middle path for me. Thanks for a real world review!
Maybe consider ebike reviews if they are available.
Awesome to hear Amelia....the weight is a factor for sure. I have an E-Bike vs E-Scooter video coming soon....you might even look at the Zero 8...it's a lot lighter and easy to carry up and down stairs....also the Leger might be an option...here's a video on the comparison between the Leger and Zero 9 (slightly bigger than a Zero 8)
czcams.com/video/wtqLM_cy3vs/video.html
Enjoy :)

brother i like your videos especially for us big guys. i am 300lbs wondering beside the emove what else would be good for me?
Hi Juan, that depends on what you're looking to do...if it's in town then Dualtron Thunder ...or one of the other big ones, Kaboo Wolf II or Zero 11X....also smaller like the Zero 10x would probably work for you too :)...they're just a lot more money....if top speed doesn't matter then take a look at the Emove Touring...I just did a review and it went live today on this channel :)...does that help ?
@@TimsElectric awesome brother thank you speed is not necessary
you're welcome Juan :)
At that weight, you're not going to get the optimal performance out of many of the scooters. Scooters are typically tested at a rider's weight of 160 to 180 lbs to get near the advertised specs.
@@ratchfordgeorge you are correct :) and why I make these videos so that larger riders get to know what will and won't work for them :)
I ordered the Emove for $1299 today and hope it works out for me
hope you love it :)
Live in Sweden it sucks i can't get it unless I pay nearly 2000 euros
What exactly are the regulations in BC for e scooters? I live in the Westshore of Vancouver Island, I seen a father and son with a scooter driving around town but haven't seen them in a while. There should be a e scooter group on FB so we can possibly get together and take some trips around the city. I think I'll create one.
Just away camping but there is a 6 city trial taking place...seems relaxed....never an issue here in Vic :)
Any stem wobble with the Zero 10 compared to the emouve cruiser ?
Great question....no wobble on my test but I do prefer the Cruiser setup
Have had my Emove Cruiser for about a week.
Put on 47 miles.
hope you're loving it Dennis :)
Yes the 1,000 watt motor is great just rode
Another 25 miles.
Yes it's great.
Thanks Timothy
I got the horizon by freeline and it's been good has about 100 hours I think this one is a better than mine. Has bigger tires looks beefier but I paid 650$ for my horizon
Seems like a great price for a Scooter Kyle :)
Was there any modification made on the front fender to fit a 10x3 semi off-road tire?
great question, apparently not...they actually switched them as a test for a client :)
Thanks for confirming Tim!
@@InduIgence cheers
Where did you get the off-road tire for the zero 10? How is the ride? Easy swap?
Any tire swops/orders etc that I do are through the lovely people at Ride the Glide here in Victoria BC :)
@@TimsElectric What model tire is it?
@@benjaminm5232 sorry I don't remember...but you could reach out to them...they re-open on Jan 3rd I think :)
What is the difference between the Zero 10 and the Apollo explore?
sadly I haven't seen an Apollo in the flesh so I'm not sure...they sound really similar though :)
Hey love ur videos very informative 👍👍
So does the 1000 watt Zero 10 has the about the same hill climbing power as the 600 watt Cruiser ?
I'm trying to decide which one to get cuz I have a few steep hills I have to travel thru in my daily commute to work and trying to decide which of the 2 to get
So which one of the 2 is more powerful for the hills ?
Not sure how the zero 10 classifies its power but I do know the cruiser motor, while being rated 600w, actually has a 1600w peak rating. Might help explain why it appeared to go just a slight bit further on his hill climb
Yes it does, in my tests, I found they were very similar. Jedi is correct they were about the same, maybe I bit better with the Cruiser (a few extra seconds). I did notice while riding that the Cruiser was slower than the Zero 9 on flats...about 3-4 Km/hr slower...wouldn't impact me but just mentioning...I also found that on the downhill sections the Zero 9 popped up to 50 km/h once and the Cruiser went up to 43...so bigger difference there...overall ...well you heard my review ...your choice now :)
that totally makes sense Jedi :)
@@TimsElectric Yah the cruiser deff is the slug of the group lol... 50 vs 43 feels much faster... I've hit 50+ on downhills and that extra 5-7 kph you really feel it! For me I think mph... So I usually cruise at 25-26mph and have hit 31mph on downhills true speed, not indicated (the speed display reads higher for me than true).
yeah but I'm a slow poke so the Cruiser is a better fit for me on the roads around Victoria :)
did you REALLY do 80km with the emove cruiser ?
I got mine last week, i weigh 260 pounds and got "only" 64km on strictly flat terrain and not going above 23kmh
Hi Joseph,
I did a range test here: czcams.com/video/Ws8b6htPyuI/video.html

I think the emove with the newer 1000w motor puts it way ahead of the zero. I have the explore which is the same as the zero 10 and the suspension is inferior to the cruiser.
You might be right @Scottstoyz
I liked the Zero 10 but in comparison it sounds like it would be similar in power to the Cruiser but with a much smaller battery. I would love to review the new Emove Cruiser this year :)
Tim what about Emove Cruiser S ???
thanks @Pepuskhan, I just haven't tried one yet ...maybe one day :) should be awesome :)
Is there a difference in the water resistant, coz in a video by chuck he mentions that the cruiser can be submerged in water with no problem, not sure that was a sales talk....
At the moment I'm not an expert on the ratings...if Chuck says it's so...then :) Nawang
Here's some more literature on it :)

The Emove cruisers IP rating is officailly ipX6, The X means it doesn't have a rating for dust ingress, The 6 means it has Protection against direct high pressure jets, The Cruiser was previously rated ip67 which meant it had FULL ingress protection from dust particles, Voro Motors haven't announced (as far as i'm aware) why they lowered the rating from the highest possible rating for dust ingress to no rating what so ever! They also lowered the water ingress down from 7 to 6, Previously it had Protection against full immersion for up to 30 minutes at depths between 15 cm and 1 metre (limited ingress permitted with no harmful effects).
The Emove Touring is rated ip54.

Hey Tim, you possibly shouldn't talk about hydraulic brakes, while doing a close-up showing the brake cable!.... ;) Otherwise, very informative. My wife is looking at a replacement scooter after her Zero 10 just got stolen, and this could be it!
a really good idea....could be a perfect scooter for her...similar weight to the Zero 10...comfy ride and the range is exceptional :)...I really enjoyed it :)
Noticed that too, the zero had mechanical brakes. However the cruiser has cable actuated hydraulic brakes, or semi hydraulic as some call them.
@@slick1908 nice catch...I do my best but you're right :) :)
put a gps tracker n airtag on it
Does the Zero 10 require a key or can anyone just get on it and ride it away?
no key on the Zero 10 :)
Hi Tim, Greetings from England & tks for the vids you put up, really useful. I'm close...or thought I was.....to buying the Apollo Explore which seems to have very close specs to the Zero 10. However, your comparison against the EMove here leaves me a bit disappointed with it's potential hills ability. Seems crazy to have to go beyond £1000 (about 1700 Canadian) to obtain that but maybe I have to go into twin battery territory if I want more confidence on hills ability in addition to the other benefits. Any thoughts about that &/or other possible competitors at that sector pls ? If I have to go next step up then there's always the Dualtron range, or the Apollo Ghost which seems to be on the way....All the best, Jerry.
So...this is the way I see it...I've done lots of reviews so far and my little Zero 9 for example will tackle most hills (not the hill of death...i need a voice over actor for future videos)....but if your part of the world is quite hilly then I think dual motors is probably the best way to go. The Zero 9 and Zero 10 at peek watts can tackle most of the hills in my area so they're a good fit for me...but more hilly spots would mean me pushing it up the hills. The Emove Cruiser for range is exceptional...and I haven't tried the Apollo version of a Zero...I have reached out but they haven't replied...perhaps I need a bigger channel :) The larger Dualtron, Kaboo, Wolf Warrior II and Zero 10X and up would probably work really well but they are a lot bigger. Hope that doesn't muddle things up for you Jerry...take care :) Keep the questions coming :)
@@TimsElectric Food for thought there Tim, I appreciate your comments. I guess it should always bring us back to where & WHY we use these things....and not be seduced by promises of more power and oomph if you don't really need it .....anyway I'll think on - certainly can't run to the sort of costs involved with stuff like the Wolf Warrior II !! Apollo get rave reviews as I'm sure you know, shame they haven't taken you up on your offer yet, they're missing a trick for more publicity and spreading the word about what seem to be excellent products, via your excellent channel. Stay safe mate.....on and off the scooters !
@@jerryaldous3649 cheers :) kind words indeed ..I'm sure they will :) :) as to keeping it to what you need...I think it's key...I use mine on dry days, for soccer game referee and playing, practice, grocery store runs etc...and it keeps the car at home :) plus...it's fun :)
Emove has my money.
One vote for the Cruiser :)
Peel that protective plastic off the display on the Zero 10. It'll show better in the sun.
