Great video that gave me just what I was looking for!! The other videos on CZcams don't explain what Navigraph is, and how to get it etc. (the very basics). I'm a real world instrument rated commercial pilot, and have been trying to use X plane 11 to keep my instrument proficiency current during these times.
I don't need the charts, as I have Foreflight (which I use in the real world) on my iPad for that. But just wanted to get the garmin 430w and the garmin G1000, in Xplane, properly updated, to reflect what I was seeing on my _current_ FAA approach and en route charts. And it's good to know, that getting the navigraph data by itself is not expensive! Thanks for this wonderful tutorial!!

I subscribed to Navigraph last month and haven't regretted it - so pleasant having access to all the up-to-date charts even though X-Plane11 currently hasn't caught up with the new parallel runways at my home airport in Brisbane. I had wondered about linking to AviTab but my computing skills aren't up to working out how to do it. Then I found you! And it works. Outstanding and very much appreciated.
Sir, You did a fine job of helping a very old English wrinkly get the Navigraph up and running. Perhaps the volume just a little higher will help us old folk enjoy your tutorials easier, many thanks. Now show me how land and not to break the nose U/C when landing at Gibraltar.

Hi Mr. Messer: I see that some folks import their simbrief flight plans into the avitab. How is that accomplished. Thanks again for your time and effort in producing these tutorials for we computer challenged folks.
Easiest way is to export the flight plan as a PDF, take the PDF an place it in Plugins/Avitab/Charts

I was able to subscribe to the fmc data, but not the charts. I only subscribed to the fmc data, so I'm thinking that I had to subscribe to the Ultimate (charts and fmc data). For me, its showing a different home screen. I hit the "products" and it brought me to the charts. I don't know where to subscribe from that point. Can someone help me please? Thanks!!

Hello Michah, I am searching for various things having returned to DCS after a few years and finding your content really informative (that's the word you was looking for) LOL... I am happy to sign up to Navigraph and start using the FMC and AviTab in the 737-800 ZIBO ... Are you aware of any known compatibility issues with this plane? Also, since updating to XP11.15 (Vulcan) the map in my AviTab constantly flashes on and off so I would be a little hesitant to sign up until that gets fixed... This issue only seems to present itself if 'use vulcan drivers' checkbox is selected (XP Config / Graphics Tab). Out of interest, have you experienced this issue?

How do you do to get that wide cockpit view? If I go backwards for getting a wider view, I overlap the Captain's seat. What's the trick? Cheers :)
Go into settings, change your field of view.
How do you update your Navigraph?
