    This video pretty much made me pull the trigger on getting the Leo Vince slip on for my 2020 Z400. And absolutely love how it sounds. Basic install that took me 10-15 mins (not going for speed install) and it’s perfect. Went with the blacked out version to better match the bikes color. But in the end, I’m quite happy with it. It’s just a tad louder than expected, but not overly obnoxious like a Harley.

    I've had this bike for about 6 months in socal. Some ares I ride through reached 115f. The heat is not really an issue. The fan kicks on and takes care of you. And if you're going to be in a high heat are that doesn't drop below 0, put 20W-50 in it. The engine oil will be more than fine then.

  • @Clove_Parma
    @Clove_Parma Před 4 lety +36

    I've had an r1, r6, and cbr1100. I rode one of these last week and actually really want one. I live in the north ga mountains and only have a 20 minute ride to work. It would be perfect to flick around these mountain roads and save on gas. Fun little bike. I'm getting too old to care how fast it goes in a straight line as long as it is fast enough to be safe pulling into traffic.

    Those weight pads are induction loops. I've seen the little magnets or whatever that people put on the bottom of their bikes to hopefully trigger it. Or revving the engine to create a large enough field. Or going over one of the black lines you can see in the ground. These are the same sensors that are at stoplights, if you've ever been caught at a stoplight with nobody else, that's why. Not sure if any of these ideas will work or not but can always be tried 🤷‍♂️

    Just so you know those are not weight sensors that open your gate. They are magnetic rails that are simply a metal detector. Same thing for most traffic lights. Not enough metal for the sensors to go off. You want to put your tires directly on one of the metal strips to help it detect easier.

    Ninjas generally have smaller catalytic converters, most of the emission thingy is inside the muffler, which is why the stock mufflers are so big compared to R3. So the sound improves dramatically with just a slip in.
    R3 has a huge cat, thus slip in alone doesnt do much difference.

    Standing at 6’1”, and weighing in at a staggering 130lb, as well as owning a ninja 400 with the same Leo pipe, I barely notice a difference in power, and I’m glad to know someone else has the same suspicion about the bike running just a bit lean. However, I love not hitting my foot on the exhaust (34” inseam), it looks better than any other slip on exhaust for the bike, sounds as good if not better than every other exhaust (The closest comparison I’m my option is a two brothers), and it only cost $200-$220 depending which color you chose (Basically half the price of every other high end slip-on). This is my second favorite mod that’s been done to my bike and I’d recommend any other ninja 400 or z400 owners consider doing the same. My favorite mod done to the bike, however, is the seat Kawasaki makes that is 2” taller because once again, 6’1” with 34” inseam. Also the stock seat has a tendency to destroy your parallel twins on every bump in the road.

      Wait so what's wrong with the seat

    • @garretthorner
      @garretthorner Před 3 lety

      BleacherSuccer The stock seat is a bit short for my liking; furthermore, due to not having much padding and the shape of it, the seat tends to send your ballocks into the tank with every instance of braking.
